Three Lykos shifters swore to protect Havana. But who will protect them from her? With everyone bailing on my holiday party, I didn’t think the night could get any worse. Then three scorching hot men storm the club and demand I come with them. Thinking they’re cops, I run only to discover the flu vaccine is turning people into monsters. Now my survival depends on Mason, Gabriel, and Liam. I should … Gabriel, and Liam. I should be terrified of their glowing eyes and the way they destroy any threat in our path, but all I can think about is claiming the fierce men as my own. All three of them…
One problem.
My ex has threatened to eviscerate any man who touches me. Too bad the deadly Alpha male isn’t here. He’ll rue the day he broke my heart and ordered his three gorgeous friends to rescue me.
This is book one of a steamy why choose paranormal romance series

This book has it all. It has action, romance and great characters. The author has done a wonderful job of writing this story. Thank you for letting me read.
I couldn’t put this down. Havana just wants to spend the holiday with friends but winds up getting to spend the holiday with three hunky werewolves, while people are turning into zombies left and right! I can’t wait to see what’s in store for Havana next!!
Amazing book. I loved the different characters. Love strong FMC and this book definitely had it.
Havana is all lonely due to no one wanting to spend time with her on Christmas. Due to a pandemic outbreak she is whisked away by three gorgeous men who are not allowed to touch her. But oh does she lay her claim to them and they are hers.

Havana is at club working one night when serious trouble breaks out which will cost her sanity for a while. A serum for a virus wasn’t test properly, and when utilized, it turns people into monsters. Pandemonium breaks out and she runs. Three gorgeous men show up to get her to safety by the names of Gabriel, Mason and Liam sent to her by her old boss to help her to escape the contamination. She thinks they are cops and goes with them. Here the story takes off, when she becomes contaminated. Good story, fast paced and most interesting book I’ve read in a long time.
Holy Pete, there was a lot going on in this book! I was very glad to find out that this was going to have more than just a part two eventually. I understood that this took awhile to set up as far as the story line went but for me that first third or so of the book really was a stall for me. I struggled to get into it. My issue was the many layers that this author was trying to take on and the multiple point of views all at once. Don’t get me wrong! I ended up really enjoying this book and the concept. There was a lot of time and plotting that went into this that is beyond evident once you finish. I really hope I don’t get the flu this year. So my strongest suggestion, stick through it, it’s totally worth it in the end!
Like I was mentioning this was a packed book, but the main gists boil down to our MC, Havana, or more referred to as Vana, is swept up into a situation that she never expected to find herself in. Worse so she is a headstrong woman that knows how to take care of herself and these handsome three me that want to help her certainly are not going to make it easy on her nerves or her hormones. This is a reverse harem/ menage novel, another layer added, and this is done well. Things begin to heat up between the four, and not just between the skin. For more of the details you will just have to devour this gem for yourself.
I just couldn’t get engaged in the book. Don’t get me wrong it did have a few steamy parts. But I was just expecting more about the zombies, but it felt like either just the beginning or side story. I wish we could have had Nathan and Tasha in this book. However I am looking forward to future parts of this story.

Claiming Her Mates by Dia Cole is the first book in the paranormal shifter series. This book is a hot and steamy tale of Havana and her three protectors.
This book is a very strange mix of paranormal and yet somehow it works. Shifters and zombies is not something I have seen together before, probably die a good reason, and get this author has created a story that combines these elements in a way that is believable.
At times I felt the story could have used a bit more detail to it however it was exiting and an intriguing read. I am interested to see how the rest of this series develops.
Claiming Her Mates, by Dia Cole, is the first book of this paranormal series. This author has taken a completely different spin on a shifter story. The drama that ensues keeps you fully engaged as Havana and the shifters work to elude the virus and keep safe. Adding attraction and need into the equation, nothing is off limits in this story and the story offers an enticing flare in this reverse harem style story. By the time you come to the end of Claiming Her Mates, you will want to read the next book(s). Dia Cole did a fabulous job of leaving just enough unanswered to keep your appetite whet.
This book surprised me in the best possible way. I was not sure I understood how the author was going to successfully combine romance with zombies and werewolves. But wow – did she ever!!! Havana is a fantastic character. I hope as the series continues we get a deeper look into her background. The author left the book wide open for directions the next book or books might take. Just a really cool paranormal romance read.
A nice little read with werewolves and zombies. Lots of heated sexy scenes with 3 males and 1 female. A girl just can’t choose when confronted with 3 sexy men lol.
Claiming Her Mates: Book One: (A paranormal shifter romance series) by Dia Cole is an original idea and not your normal wolf shifter story. The world is thrown into pandemonium when a “flu” breaks out and a zombie apocalypse. The action starts right from beginning and definitely grabs your attention. It is a good start for the series and oh so sexy and oh so hot, with a lot of sizzle and passion as well.
Three Lycos shifters have been tasked to find one woman. A woman that their Alpha has ordered them to find and protect. A woman that changes all their lives. A woman that seems to be in danger not only from the pandemic but also the Lycos population and themselves.
Now I have to wait anxiously for the next one.
Claiming Her Mates from author Dia Cole is Book 1 in the Claiming Her Mates Series. This was an incredible introduction to this author and I cannot wait to read the others in this series. This has got to be one of the best reads that I have read in a while. I love this take on a apocalyptic world where a flu epidemic is about to wipe out the entire human species by turning them into zombies – what more could you ask for, oh I know 3 extremely hot, sexy alpha males who all happen to be Lykos shifters(werewolves) sworn to protect a beautiful female.
This book was filled with passion, sexiness, action, drama, mystery, & fear. I was captivating and compelled while reading this book. This author has created an incredible imaginative read, full of twists, incredibly lovable and amazing characters and a read that will last with me for quite some time I love it so much I read it in one sitting. Each of these characters brought something brilliant to this story, whether it was how Mason, Gabriel or Liam’s different personalities impacted how they were with Havana, how each of their sizzling, intense and immediate connections with Havana brought an extra depth to this read that I loved.
Another great thing with this book is that it was written in dual POV’s. I love reading it from the characters POV’s as we get to really see their thoughts and feeling from them rather than the other person. I also think it helps connect with a character as you get to understand some of their reasons of their actions!
This read was everything I thought it would be and more! I loved it and now will be eagerly awaiting Book 2 in this series.
I love paranormal romance book so when I saw this cover and read the description about this story. I knew I was going to be good and as I started to read it I realize this book was better than good and I loved reading it and can’t wait to read more from this author.
***I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.***
This is the first book I have read from Dia Cole and it was pretty good. This was a totally different concept in any book I have read. Combining Wolves and Zombies while an apocalypse is starting.
Havana … aka Vana… is a stripper trying to make ends meet. All of the sudden there is this outbreak from a flu vaccine turning people into zombies. During all of this, three mysterious men are there to take her someplace safe on the orders of Vana’s ex-boyfriend. Yeah! There is a lot to take in1
There was a lot going on in the book and it was a lot to process to keep track of. I am looking forward to the next book in the series to find out what happens and how Vana will deal with everything.
Claiming Her Mates (Claiming Her Mates #1)
By Dia Cole
Rated 5 stars
Holy smokes not only is this book so H-O-T that I could hardly put it down but the story is crazy good resulting in the same problem.
I couldn’t put this book down!
These characters are are so lovable. From the first meeting they drew me in. Havana with her strong will and Liam, Gabe and Mason each have amazing qualities all their own. I love a good shifter story and this is one. It moved along at a good pace and I was able to meet each character in a timely manner. Therefore I got a good feel of each before moving onto the next.
This has a “for now” ending. Meaning we don’t have answers to many of the questions and thoughts that were raised during the book. So while not a cliffhanger not completely satisfying either. I would be curious what happens when a couple things( that I can’t mention) happen. It’s definitely a great quick read!
This one was outta of the box for me (paranormal, shifter, zombies), but I’m glad I gave it a shot because I really liked the feel of the story and the set-up for the series. I do feel that I was left with an incomplete story, but knowing there is more to come helps. I liked that Liam, Gabriel and Mason were so different, yet willing to change the “rules”. I like the twist that came about with Havana’s transition and can’t wait for Tasha and Havana to meet, again…
Sexy, steamy, angst, and sexy werewolves oh my. Havana (I loved this name for our heroine) is taken away from work by three sexy men. They are escorting her away from the world being overrun by zombies. As she is sequestered in a deserted cabin she learn secrets about herself, her ex, and her rescuers. As she comes to term with the future she decides to claim all three of them.
-Great characters
-Great paranormal theme
-Loved the setting with zombies and werewolves
-Steamy and oh so hot
-Great fast paced paranormal read
This is book 1 of a new series and it started out very strong. When I started reading I had the feeling that I had read this story already as the setting was a bit “generic”, but after the first few scenes it morphed into its own story.. Claiming Her Mates is all about HER and HER needs which is a nice departure on the traditional alpha male world.
Book 1 is setting up the series nicely with it’s world building. Each character is clearly defined in both role and personality and we get to see a peek into the future of the series. The story is well plotted from beginning to end and the “sexy times” are held back to build up the anticipation.
This is the first book I’ve read by this author and i look forward to reading more in the series.
Zombie apocalypse and Lycans, what could go wrong? Havana is a strong character and trusting. but she shouldn’t be as that gets her in trouble. Three gorgeous guys come and take her to safety she didn’t event realise she needed, but it’s the start of the end of the world, what’s a girl to do? Liam, Gabriel and Mason, all quite different but willing to die for her. An interesting story and I was not expecting it to end like it did, I was looking for more. I hope all the questions are answered in the next chapter. There are lots of ways the author can take the story and I am interested in how it will play out. The sex scenes were hot and sweet at one point, a virgin omega!
