I’m damaged. They’re damaged too. The last thing we need… is each other.
I’m done with dominants. Been there, had one, have the scars to prove it. I’m all about work now, about growing my private investigator business. I have no time for anything else. Then a mysterious client hires me to investigate a case of blackmail at Club Menage, and he assigns me a pair of guards. Two men who knew me at my … pair of guards. Two men who knew me at my worst: Adrian Lockhart and Brody Payne.
I’ve always been attracted to them.
Always imagined what it would feel like to be bent over their knees.
Always craved their firm touch on my body.
But I’ve been burned before.
Every instinct tells me to leave them alone.
To turn down the job.
To walk away and stay safe.
I should listen to that voice of self-preservation, but I don’t.
I’m damaged. They’re damaged too.
One night will ruin us forever.
Author’s Note: Claiming is a standalone ménage romance with a HEA ending. No cheating, no cliffhangers! An earlier version was previously released in a boxed set. This version has been significantly modified and extended.more
Loved the story. The gentleman who hired the private eye had an agenda to bring Adrian , Brody and Fifi together, to discover who was stealing from the club. Wonderful story.
Claiming Fifi is the first book in the Club Menage series. Fiona has a bad history with being a submissive, but when she’s called to investigate a blackmail at Club Menage, she’s forced back into the world she left. Adrian and Brody have been battling grief, but are also called back to the club. When the three of them find each other again, their passion takes over, but when a blast from her past enters the club, can Adrian and Brody keep Fiona safe, or will Fiona run from what she loves?
Oh my, this book was absolutely fabulous! I could barely put it down once I started, because I needed to know what happened next, both in their budding relationship and within the club! Fiona was so brave in my mind, because while she was scared, she was able to face her fears, learned more about how her desires were supposed to be met, and was able to find and accept love and submission again! Her past just about broke my heart, because there was no safe, sane, and consensual in her first experience with a Dom, but I loved how Brody and Adrian were able to show her how true Doms should act with those they love. The men were loyal, protective, and had that dominance that drew the readers in like magnets. They made an amazing team, a passionate relationship, and I loved how they worked together to resolve the drama! I am so excited about this series, and loved reading this book! Excuse me while I go devour the next book!
Book #1, Club Ménage series. This first book in Tara Crescent’s new series is hot, steamy and beyond stellar!
For the past two years, Fiona Clarke’s lived in a self-imposed prison. Oh, she denies it, but she’s there nonetheless. A disastrous foray into BDSM left her scarred and scared. As a private investigator, Fiona isolates and submerges herself in work. That all changes when Xavier Leforte appears, offering a $100,000 contract. Why? Ostensibly to investigate a blackmail case at his BDSM club, Club Ménage. Fiona’s not at all sure about this. BDSM? Something she’s sworn off forever? But the money would certainly be welcome. What harm could it truly do? Apparently far more than she knows. She remembers Brody Payne and Adrian Lockhart from her time with Raymond, her former Dom. And they’re members of Club Ménage. In fact, Xavier’s gone so far as to ask them to mentor her. As Fiona takes the case and meets with Adrian and Brody, she could never anticipate the outcome. Is there chemistry? You’d better believe it! But BDSM requires 100% honesty. Fiona can’t even be honest with herself. How can she enter into even a mentoring relationship? More troubling is the fact that both Brody and Adrian are well aware she’s not telling the truth. But Adrian and Brody have their own demons. And, unknowingly, they’re not completely forthright with Fiona either. As Fiona’s past reappears with a vengeance and puts her in mortal peril, absolutely nothing is certain. When Brody and Adrian’s pasts are thrown into the mix, it becomes a perfect storm that has the potential to destroy all three. Can Fiona pull down her walls, face her past, even survive? What about Brody and Adrian? Is it possible for them to push past the traumas that haunt them? If they can’t, everything the three have tried to build will come crashing down around them!
Tara Crescent is another favorite author. Ménage is one of my favorite subgenres of erotica, and I absolutely loved this book. Ms. Crescent has created very well-developed characters who pull you into the story from the first page. I personally related to Fiona on so many levels. She’s smart as a whip, brave, and independent. She’s also vulnerable, hurting, and unwilling to let anyone, including herself, know just how badly scarred she is. Brody and Adrian are marvelous. They’re true dominants. Dominance is central to their existence, but they aren’t arrogant, pushy, or abusive. They’re also damaged and broken in their own ways. This story is so much more than just a ménage relationship. It plumbs the depths of Fiona, Brody, and Adrian’s lives, both past and present, and their every emotion. The way Ms. Crescent’s able to intertwine the perceived failures and actual traumas of Fiona, Adrian, and Brody with the ongoing uncertainty, mystery, and danger facing them all shows her skill as an author. I fell in love with Fiona, Brody, and Adrian. But the book wouldn’t be as fantastic as it is without the backstory of these characters and the minor characters: Xavier, Layla, Rafael, Lina, Sandy, and even Avery. This is a beautifully written book, and I am anxiously awaiting the next book in the series, which is currently available for preorder on Amazon. Congratulations, Ms. Crescent! This book is amazing! I can’t give it anything less than five stars!
One final note. Be an informed reader! This is an ADULT book. It contains explicit language and sexual scenes. If you don’t enjoy this genre, this may not be the book for you. There are book synopses and reviews available on Goodreads and all booksellers’ websites. Use these resources. DON’T LEAVE A NEGATIVE REVIEW WHEN YOU KNOW YOU WON’T ENJOY THE BOOK. It’s not fair to the author. She works very hard to provide a quality work product. If you know you’ll object to the book’s subject matter before you buy it, you’re doing yourself and the author an extreme disservice.
Thanks for reading my review and happy reading
Claiming Fifi is a fantastic contemporary romance by Tara Crescent. This is a M/F/M menage though, so it may not be for everyone. This book is written in first person, alternating point of view, but as usual, this author makes it work. Fiona escaped from a bad relationship and has stayed away from the BDSM community since then. Adrian and Brody are partners still grieving over the death of their girlfriend. Fiona, Adrian and Brody’s story is loaded with drama, humor, smokin’ hot sexy bits and suspense. I enjoyed reading Claiming Fifi and look forward to my next book by Tara Crescent. Claiming Fifi is book 1 of the Club Menage Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.
Claiming Fifi has a little something for all kinds of readers: BDSM, menáge, suspense, intrigue, blackmail threats and even some danger. Xavier Leforte’s Club M is born out of a need for a place where like minded folks can get their kink on in a safe, sane and consensual manner. The fact he’s something of a meddler and matchmaker only enhances the stories.
Fiona Clarke knew early on that vanilla sex just wasn’t for her but an abusive experience in the name of D/s has her regretting her choices and fulfilling her desires. Now she has a chance to confront her fears with a sexy pair of Doms by her side. But she’s not the only who needs to confront their demons. Adrian Lockhart and Brody Payne both have sins, real or imagined, that they need to deal with. Starting anew with Fiona may be a saving grace for them all.
Not well done, didn’t care for it.
Claiming Fifi by Tara Cresant
Wow this one packs a powerful punch in such a quick read. Tara sure knows how to draw you in with her characters, storyline and all that hot steamy sex. I loved Fiona, Adrian and Brody how they each had their own baggage that needed to be healed. Their journey was really beautiful and I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.
4.5
love this aurthor and series
If you’re into menage and BDSM you will love the character building and story line. Fell in love with Kai and Adrien and Feona. Onward to Taming Avery.
fun series
A nice afternoon of escapism.
Great read!
The first book in a new Menage series and it is off to a great start.
I really enjoyed the characters. Fiona, Brody and Adrian all suffer from past events. Events they never really gotten over and able to heal from. That makes for more complex layered characters who responses can be quite surprising.
The three of them connect and fit together very well, but not without some complications. There are some sexy scenes but the story itself takes the main role.
