Falling in love could expose a woman in hiding, in the fourth Ace Security novel from New York Times bestselling author Susan Stoker.Former mercenary Ryder Sinclair’s stunning discovery that he has three half brothers in Castle Rock, Colorado, is giving them all the chance to color in the spaces of their tragic pasts. For Ryder, establishing roots is made all the more desirable by Felicity Jones. … desirable by Felicity Jones. But if Ryder’s instincts are correct, this breathtaking beauty is in trouble.
Castle Rock isn’t Felicity’s home. Like her false identity, it’s just a cover. All she wants is enough cash to keep moving to another temporary hideaway—to stay on the run from a secret that’s haunted her for years. As safe as Ryder’s strong embrace makes her feel, she fears that falling for him, and staying in Colorado, will put everyone she’s come to love in danger.
The more Ryder learns about Felicity, the more determined he is not to let her go. It’s time for her to stop running—even as a relentless danger closes in, threatening their love and their lives.

This was an awesome read with a page-turning easy-to-read plot which was filled with drama, heartache, lust, and bits of levity. Moreover, the main characters, Ryder and Felicity, gushed with chemistry. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed reading the narrative.
I have said in previous reviews, Susan Stoker’s creative genius is demonstrated by her development of unusual heroines. Felicity Jones in Claiming Felicity, is definitely not your usual damsel in distress. Felicity’s tattooed tough of nails exterior has evolved from having survived years of adversity. To all that know her she is a snarky no nonsense woman, who can hold her own in any fight. Only Felicity knows that it’s a facade meant to keep people from getting too close. Felicity knows that any relationship with her could be toxic. People who Felicity loves seem to end up dead! Life has taught her to stand on her own, and to run when trouble catches up to her, as it inevitably does. Felicity Jones is a facinating enigma, that Susan Stoker makes sure, captures the heart of the reader in book 1 of the Ace Security Series. Felicity though, continues to grow and mature as a support character until in book 4, Claiming Felicity, Susan finally makes her a heroine of her own story. It is masterful how Susan weaves mystery and suspense into the lives of her characters, furthering the character development until they can become the focus of novel!
Again, in Claiming Felicity, Susan Stoker, captures the excitement of falling in love at first sight. Her hero, Ace Anderson, recognizes his soulmate in Felicity and the romance revolves around his determination to break down the walls Felicity has built. Ace is as persistent as he is hot. The love scenes between him and Felicity burn up the pages! Susan’s vivid descriptions of love making is another talent that makes her one of my best loved romance writer’s! The passion with which Susan Stoker’s writes, makes me wonder who is her love muse!
But another part of Susan’s creative talent is that the romance in her novels is equally balanced with suspence. The adversity that has made Felicity the strong woman everyone sees has slowly built to a climax in this fourth book in the series. In Claiming Felicity, we finally get to see why Felicity seems to hold everyone at arms length. Her demon catches up to her and only through the love of her friends and her new love, Ace, does she have the courage to stand and face him. The action has you holding your breath, not sure if Felicity and Ace can possibly survive. Yet, Susan Stoker, is famous for her happily ever afters, so of course, the villain is thwarted!
Claiming Felicity is another great example of Susan Stoker’s great talent! I can hardly wait to start book 5, Claiming Sarah.
This series is ACES
Claiming Felicity is the fourth book in the Ace Security series and it focuses on Felicity and her background and Ryder, a Mountain Mercenary man Ryder comes to the town of Castle Rock as he wants to meet the Anderson brothers and share a secret he’s recently discovered with them.
He also meets Felicity and can tell she’s hiding something painful and deep, and it doesn’t appear as though anyone else has picked up on it in her circle of friends. When she wants to run – he decides to step in
A great story and series that I’ve now finally finished and recommend
“Claiming Felicity” is the fourth book in the Ace Security series and is a fantastic addition to this series. There is a lot going on in this book, a new character by the name of Ryder Sinclair is in Castle Rock to meet his half brothers, Logan, Blake and Nathan. Felicity Jones has been in all the previous books but I had no idea that she was hiding a big secret, not until she approaches Cole about wanting the money back that she gave him when they started up the gym. Felicity is in trouble but she doesn’t want to get her friends involved, she just wants to run and never look back. Ryder refuses to let that happen but can she trust him to keep her and her friends safe?
In this book we also get a glimpse of the Mountain Mercenaries, a group that Ryder was a part of before moving to Castle Rock. A group that looks very interesting. I cannot wait to read that series.
I think that Claiming Felicity is my favorite book in this series so far!
Claiming Felicity is the most suspenseful of the Ace Security series. A crazed stalker fixated on one woman wreaks havoc on the Andersons and Castle Rock. It escalates from annoyances and taunting to dangerous and deadly that will have you on the edge of your seat. There’s a great tie-in to Susan Stoker’s Mountain Mercenaries series
Felicity Jones once quipped that it was too bad there were no more Andersons left to claim. Turns out she was wrong. Ryder Sinclair, an Anderson half brother, invades her life and claims her almost immediately. She’s not exactly willing though. He truly “sees” her under all of her bravado and tough girl persona. She’s terrified and ready to bolt. He should know. He’s seen that look on the hundreds of innocent victims he’s rescued with his team. Setting Felicity free and making her his for the rest of their lives becomes an all consuming goal.
I love this series and I think Felicity and Ryder might be my favourite.
This is a beautiful story, well written and thoroughly intriguing in its intensity and suspense.
Susan Stoker is one of my all time favourite authors in Military/Romantic Suspense. If you love page turning, heart pounding, breath taking words – Susan Stoker, constantly delivers this and so much more to her readers. What are you waiting for?
I think you could read these as standalone stories but I recommend reading them in order, that way you don’t miss anything.
My o my. This series keeps getting better by the book (though I die mit quite like the third one…) Felicity ja mit who her friends think her to be, but it takes Ryder one second to look behind the walls she’s errected around her. An absolutely amazing story about opening up to literal strangers and learning to trust them. Felicity and Ryder are just amazing together. And you get the first glimps of the Mountain Mercenaries, that is also an very awesome series.
Rider, an unknown brother courtesy of their fathers infidelity, shows up at Ace Security. A huge shock to the triplets. The same time Rider shows up, Felicity is found by her stocker of the last 10 years sending her into a panic. The first time Rider sees her he knows, she the one for him.
One of the things I like about Ace Security is that while there are stress filled times regular life happens around it. This story is no different. The characterization is excellent and story line keeps the story interesting.
We meet Rider’s co-workers, The Mountain Mercenaries, a new series in this story as well.
As in all the previous stories, Erin Bennett does a great job portraying the characters and narrating. It is easy to get lost in the way she tells the story.
One of my most favorite of the series.
Great book. Yea for another Anderson! !! Felicity deserved to finally get free from that asshat and find peace and true love. To be happy. Ryder deserved it also. I really enjoyed this series so far.
4 stars
I purchased a copy of Claiming Felicity (Ace Security Book 4) by Susan Stoker and this review was given freely.
A love at first sight novel. Former Special Services and mercenary Ryder Sinclair moves to Castle Rock, Colorado when he discovers the Anderson triplets are his half brothers with hopes of retiring quietly. On his second day in Castle Rock he meets Felicity, verbally claims her as his “one”, and vows to protect her from and resolve the issue she is running from. Intermixing the Anderson brothers and the mercenaries, this steamy romance has violence and suspense, is both heartwarming and tragic, contains a good summary of all the series characters, and is a good lead in to The Mountain Mercenary series.
Best if read in order in series. Recommend age 18+
Terrific
I won a copy of this book from Goodreads giveaways, I was not required to give a favorable review. What a great story it keep you on you on your toes. I have read other stories from Susan and she draws you into each of the characters.
Ryder and Felicity are a great couple, plenty of action, drama and imminent romance. When the book got to almost half way and I was teary, then I was really invested in the story. By the end tears were running down my face, were they happy tears though? You’ll have to read to find out, I can tell you my heart was in my throat for a while.
A new offshoot series coming from this one sounds intriguing.
Let me start by saying, I have yet to read any of the previous books in this series. That being said, it didn’t take away from what a great book this is. Claiming Felicity has all the elements that make for a page turner – a tight story line, characters you can root for, romance and plenty of action. This is a must read and I will definitely be getting the previous books just to fill in some of the back story to Claiming Felicity.
Side note: This is also an intro to Ms. Stoker’s next series Mountain Mercenaries
Enjoy!
Ryder is alpha hot! He has all kind toughness but beneath it all he is a softy with a huge heart. Castle Rock, Colorado is where he meets Felicity while he is meeting his ½ brothers for the first time. Imagine that stress and then he walks in on all the drama surrounding Felicity. Talk about a lot going on in his world. But he manages to keep it all together, open his heart to his new family and to find the love of his life.
The brother’s in this story are all alpha males. I loved that they questioned Ryder when he arrived but accepted him as their brother when it really counted. They opened their homes, their families, and their business without ever doubting Ryder’s reliability. It was wonderful to see a man who had no family get accepted into a large, loving family.
The storyline of Ryder and Felicity was intense. A woman on the run, a man wanting to taunt her and kill her, and in walks her hero. It was refreshing to see Felicity not fall apart, she stood strong, accepted help, and stayed involve in saving her own life. Felicity is a strong character that had a rough life but managed to find happiness in an unlikely place.
I am new to the Ace Security series and am excited to read more about these amazing brothers. I am also excited to learn more about the Mercenary Men and their stories.
Felicity may project the badass no-mess-with chick persona but she is in hiding for her life. Whilst helping the Anderson triplets and their other halves out, she managed to hide her true self from them. But the past always catches up with you and Felicity is in real danger.
Ryder, aka Ace, has only just found his half brothers and wants to get to know them better. But his profession means that those he is close to become targets. Whilst the triplets may be able to protect themselves and their partners, they can’t cover everyone all the time. When Felicity finally admits that she needs help, Ryder basically stakes his claim on her. He is stuck to her like a shadow and has every intention of making her his!
I loved the intro to the book. You are kind of wondering just which of the girls becomes Felicity for a while. Once her identity is revealed we know why she is on the run. It was a bit tough to swallow the instant trust she put in Ryder but I suppose that is some what allayed by the fact that she knows the Andersons so well and trusts them implicitly (just not enough to tell them who she really is!)
Ryder essentially has all the possessive, intense leanings as her stalker but he and his team mates use these traits for good and I loved the set up for the Mountain Mercenaries – some of those guys are going to be fun! And Rex? Well I just think of him as being like Charlie with his Angels LOL.
The bad guy is just so loathsome, odious and all around evil. I didn’t like the way he got out of punishment, even though it was retribution for his crimes. I wanted him to suffer prison!
Good finale to the series and a great way to launch the new series!
just reading now
I thoroughly enjoyed this mix of romantic suspense, drama and steam, all mixed into one well written and engaging story. Felicity/(Megan) and Ryder are both nicely rounded, likeable and best of all believable characters.
I wasn’t too keen on Ryder’s ‘insta-love’ declaration, but this was balanced nicely by the author allowing the relationship between Ryder and Felicity to develop naturally. This is a little slow-burn, which really suited the story line, though the pair had intense chemistry from the outset. Their pairing was sexily sweet and Ryder’s loving intensity was enough to make you melt. I adored that Felicity wasn’t like the ‘stupid girls’ in horror films, mindlessly running into danger. No, that girl had survived 10 years on the run from a psychopath and wasn’t about to deliberately put herself in the path of danger.
The plot loops and turns with some very surprising twists thrown in for good measure. The last chapter and epilogue nicely rounded off the Ace line of books but also opened the door for several other stories to emerge from this. I also loved that little nod to Roman “Chief” Proudfit (from Shelter for Sophie) and wondered if there’s a story for Maria in the ether.
I received an advanced copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.
Holy crap! I haven’t had a book actually make me cry in forever! Of course it would be one of Stoker’s that ends my dry spell. Talk about pulling on my heartstrings! Every book of Stoker’s that I read I fall more and more in love with her writing! Absolutely AMAZING!
One thing I most definitely loved about Ryder in this series is that he never fought his attraction for Felicity. He took one look at her, knew she was it for him and he was all in. Love it! As a recently retired mercenary, he knew what it would take to not only win her heart but keep her safe.
Felicity had been on the run for a decade and had finally found the place she wanted to call home. Fed up with being on the run, not wanting to leave, and having Ryder at her side, she gets angry and makes a stand. Between Ryder , his brothers, and his friends they take on the man responsible for her not bring able to lay down some roots. A wonderful end to a series, and an awesome rollercoaster ride of a book! Loved it!
Great read to continue the series
