Opposites attract in the third Ace Security novel from New York Times bestselling author Susan Stoker.Bailey Hampton will do whatever it takes to keep both herself and her little brother safe from the vicious Inca Boyz gang. Hiding out in Castle Rock, Colorado, is only a temporary solution until she can earn enough money to get out of the state altogether. But when she meets handsome security … meets handsome security nerd Nathan Anderson, she discovers a reason to stay and fight for what she wants.
Ace Security’s Nathan Anderson has always been the “numbers guy,” not the man any of the firm’s clients look to when their safety is threatened. But from the first time he ran into Bailey, she never made him feel like less of a protector than his brothers. Nathan was attracted to the petite, black-haired pixie with wild tattoos from the start, and by some miracle, she seems to return his interest.
But danger stalks Bailey and her brother, so it’s up to Nathan to channel his inner alpha and find a way to end the threat to their lives once and for all—and he’s not giving up Bailey without a fight.

Another Susan Stoker winner. At first I wasn’t sure how this H/h pairing was going to work, but work it did.
Chemistry, storyline, tension and suspense all blended for a great installment to the Ace Security series. We catch up with some old friends and the twist at the end is an eye opener.
Awesome book.
Another great installment in this well written series!! Can’t wait for book 4
Bailey and her brother are hiding from her ex boyfriend who was the president of a gang. She got a job at a mechanic shop and trying to straighten her ten year old brother out. Her ex was a very bad influence on him and was trying to make him into a gang member. Nathan owns a security business with his brothers. He is a little geeky and when his car won’t start, Bailey stops and helps him. Nathan has been searching for Bailey since his brother’s girlfriend was taken by the gang. Now it seems she’s dropped right into his lap. Both have low opinions of themselves but they don’t see the insecurities in the other. Bailey and Nathan knows her ex will come after her, so they come up with a plan when he shows up. Bailey has walls built up and Nathan will do anything, even just be her friend, to be close to her.
Great story with a good cast of characters. The story was very interesting and a couple of disturbing scenes. Page turning, with a surprise in it.
* Voluntarily read and reviewed this for netgalley *
Loved this book. Surprises at the end made it fantastic. Sorry it ended
Susan Stoker has another winner with Claiming Bailey. The story of what Bailey went through broke my heart. And then reading how Nathan put himself down though also was happy with himself. I couldn’t wait to see how they got their HEA. And the change in Joel. It’s just awesome.
The road to love is not always smooth. There are bumps, unexpected curves and you never know what you might find over the next hill. Bailey managed to get away from the gang that she once thought was where she belonged. Having custody of her little brother Joel, changed that misconception. Nathan is the perfect person to show Joel how to properly treat his sister and others. He also shows Bailey that she is more than just a “property”. Trust doesn’t come easy for Bailey and she is insecure in if she even knows how to love another person that isn’t related to her. The threat hanging over Bailey turns very real when her past catches up to her. Will they survive or will it destroy what they have managed to build?? Read “Claiming Bailey” and you will have all the answers!! Susan Stoker has done it again. I was hooked from the first page!! Love Bailey and Nathan!!!
Wow!!! An amazing story of love, courage, and strength!!!
Bailey got herself hooked in a gang at an early age. She was looking for acceptance and guidance. Unfortunately, she ended up in the wrong one. When the leader, Donovan, started dragging her little brother into bad things, she knew they needed to escape.
Nathan may be a triplet with Blake and Logan, he was nothing like them. He was the geek while they were the muscles and he was fine with that. He has been looking for Bailey for awhile now but not getting anywhere. They knew she had been the leader’s girlfriend. When his car breaks down in parking lot, no one stops to help until a woman walks over and helps him. He is even more surprised when he sees her name on back of the card. He thinks he finally has found the exclusive Bailey he has been looking for.
Nathan knows in his heart that Bailey is the woman he is meant to spend his life with. He loves spending time with her and her brother Joel. Now he just needs to convince her and they need to stop Donovan since they know he is coming for her.
I have to admit that I am a fan of Susan Stoker. She writes books, then I buy and read them. I have never been disappointed by her books and after reading “Claiming Bailey” that record remains unbroken. Nathan and Bailey are an unlikely couple. Nathan thinks of himself as a nerd and not someone that he thinks someone like Bailey would date. Bailey thinks of herself as damaged goods and not someone that a guy as nice as Nathan would date. What I like best about them is that they show that your past does not determine your future. Keep writing Susan Stoker!!
Before I say anything about the book, I want to say that how Susan Stoker described the issues that befell Bailey is spot on, we all have done some things we are not proud of, but this gal had more courage then a lot of people I know, all she had to do is to let go of her past and live for the present and future.
Bailey Hampton decided to do whatever she could do to keep herself and her brother safe from the gang Inca Boyz gang. Even if it meant to hid in Castle Rock, Colorado, for that time it was th best solution she could come up with until she could do more. Soon though she discovers a really good reason to remain there. She meets handsome security nerd Nathan Anderson,
Ace Security’s Nathan Anderson was always the man to deal with numbers, not quite as the man the the clients look up to when their safety is threatened. Yet from the moment Nathan met Bailey, she was the one that never made him feel less then his brothers and Nathan was attracted to the little pixie with the wild tatts. And as strange as it seemed to him she returned his attraction. amd his interest.
But danger stalks Bailey and her brother, now its up the Nathan to channel his Alpha and find a way to end that threat and he is so not giving up on her.
Great story characters were even better, and a surprise ending too, can’t wait for the next book.
I love Susan Stoker’s books, whether it’s Ace Security, her Protection series, Delta Force series, Badge of Honor Series. She nails it! ClaimingBailey was another example of her talent. Heartbreaking, loving, Alpha nerd. Awesome!
3.5 stars–CLAIMING BAILEY is the third instalment in Susan Stoker’s contemporary, adult ACE SECURITY romantic suspense series focusing on the Anderson triplets (Blake, Logan and Nathan) and the family owned Ace Security. This is Ace Security co-owner and self-proclaimed numbers geek Nathan Anderson, and mechanic Bailey Hampton’s story line. CLAIMING BAILEY can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary. There is an ongoing premise throughout the series that focuses on the take down of the vicious gang known as the Inca Boyz.
NOTE: Due to the content of the story line, there may be some triggers for more sensitive readers.
Told from dual third person perspectives (Bailey and Nathan) CLAIMING BAILEY follows the building relationship between twenty four year old mechanic Bailey Hampton, and Ace Security numbers geek Nathan Anderson. As the team at Ace Security continues their hunt for the mysterious Bailey and her little brother Joel, little did they know that the woman in question was living right under their nose. When Nathan’s beloved ‘Marilyn’ broke down in the parking lot, our heroine stepped up to help Nathan get back on the road only to be blindsided when Nathan’s offer for dinner comes with some disturbing news.
Nathan knows Bailey is on the run from the Inca Boyz gang, forcing our heroine to reveal her questionable past- a past that places everyone in danger including our story line couple. What ensues is the building relationship between Nathan and Bailey, and the potential fall out when Bailey’s whereabouts are discovered.
Bailey Hampton’s earlier years were spent living under the ‘protection’ of the Inca Boyz gang. Since the age of fourteen Bailey’s life became a cycle of sex, drugs and drinking only to come to a head when she realized that her little brother was being coerced into something she didn’t like. Hiding in Castle Rock was a little too close to the man in charge but securing a job and a home for her brother had been our heroine’s first order of priority. Nathan Anderson considers himself the nerd; the non-violent, ‘weaker’ sibling to his ex-military brothers who adore and protect the people they love. Always feeling like an outsider Nathan struggles with his place in the family-a family destroyed by their mother’s abuse and neglect. Knowing the Inca Boyz will be coming for Bailey Hampton, the Ace Security Team set up a plan that includes Bailey’s brother Joel-a ten year old whose earlier experiences have changed him into a hardened young boy.
The relationship between Nathan and Bailey is slow to build as Bailey battles her attraction to a man who may be willing to sacrifice our heroine in the hunt for the Inca Boyz gang. Bailey’s dark and dangerous past has left both physical and emotional scars including an unwanted and forced tattoo that screams louder than any words spoken aloud. The $ex scenes are intimate and seductive without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.
There is a large ensemble cast of secondary and supporting characters including Logan and Grace (Claiming Grace #1), Blake and Alexis (Claiming Alexis), Ace Security employee Felicity Jones, Bailey’s ten year old brother Joel, her boss at Clayson Auto Boy Clayson Davis, as well as several other mechanics (Henry, Ozzie) who look after our story line heroine. The requisite evil is the Inca Boyz crew and their current leader Donovan.
CLAIMING BAILEY looks at one woman’s struggle to move on from her past. Bailey’s need to hide is predicated on the decisions she made at an early age that have affected her life and the life of her younger brother. Nathan Anderson struggles battles his attraction to a woman who is looking to run, and his ongoing inability to be accepted for who he is. The premise is entertaining but I questioned a couple of the plotline scenarios including the use of a ten year old in the take down of a murdering gang member, as well as the set up in which all three in question risk their lives in more way than one. The romance is passionate and provocative; the characters are broken and immature-struggling with their place in the here and now.
Loved this book
I absolutely loved Claiming Bailey!!
Susan Stoker, has given us another
fabulous book, in the Ace Security series!!
It is an emotional, intense, & loving story.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading it.
A MUST READ FOR EVERYONE!!
This is book 3 in the Ace Security series and I highly recommend you read the previous books or you will not understand parts of the story that talk about what happened in the previous books. Especially as this character is someone they were looking for by the end of the last book! This one is about Bailey Hampton and Nathan Anderson. Bailey was the girlfriend of the president of Inca Boyz gang. Until she ran and disappeared. Nathan is Logan and Blake’s brother and has been trying to find a trace of Bailey in order to not only help her but in the hopes that she may have something to help take the gang down permanently. Bailey is just trying to lay low and keep her and her little brother safe. She doesn’t want him to grow up in the gang and to become like the only men she knows. She knows she won’t be able to stay safe forever but she is hoping to just long enough to have her brother be old enough to not be involved at all. Nathan is a self proclaimed geek with a love for numbers. From the moment he meets Bailey he is attracted but he also believes that she is out of his league and beyond his reach. But that doesn’t stop him from at least trying to be her friend and to protect her and her brother. Never knowing that by just being the man he is, that he is showing her not only what a good guy he is but that not all men are the same as the gang members.
I absolutely loved this book! Out of all the Susan Stoker books I have read (and I have read them all mind you!!) Nathan is definitely my favorite hero! You are so used to the hero in books has muscles or just this kick butt, take charge alpha man. But Nathan is not that person. Oh he can get have alpha tendencies but he is so beyond that! He uses his brains and just proves that being the smart one in the situation can be just as good, if not better, than to be the muscle bound one! I loved him! He is strong, caring, sweet, and just plain good to other people! I loved how he was with Joel and showing him the right way to treat women vs how Bailey’s ex had been teaching him. I loved everything about him, which really was a surprise to me! I didn’t expect to love him as much as I did! And Bailey, just wow! Even after everything she had been through and was still dealing with, she still managed to be a caring woman. She didn’t know her own self worth but that was because of everything that jerkface Donovan did to her! Once she finally starts believing what Nathan says is the truth, she finally starts to understand that everything that happened to her was NOT her fault! That yes, she made bad choices but she was a child herself when she made those choices. And that she was suckered into what happened because Donovan played her, that it was what he did and he felt powerful doing it. I hate what happened to her, but I truly believe that it made her a stronger person because of it. Yes, they seem like an odd pairing but they just work. And they end up being perfect for each other! I love the ending btw. You will love the epilogue! It fit them perfectly and made perfect sense!! I can’t wait to read Felecity’s book next! And to know more about Ace!!
I love Susan Stoker. This story shows how love and acceptance can truly heal the soul. I love the interaction between Nathan and Joel. It shows you how a good role model for the young can inspire them to overcome any past hurts. Not only the acceptance that we all make mistakes but that we can still be a better person in our future for those mistakes and help others. Susan has done it again. I started reading and could not put it down. Sleep is overrated when reading one of Susan’s books.
Did you know today was read a Susan Stoker book in a day-day? Well it was and I did it was so good I couldn’t put it down even if I wanted to.
This story is the 3rd book in the Ace Security series.
Bailey Hampton is on the run with her little brother Joel. They are on the run from a brutal gang, called the Inca Boys.
Nathan Hampton is the geeky, numbers brother in the family. This is such a great Susan Stoker book!
Can Nathan save Bailey and Joel? Can Bailey finally stop running?? Can the love they share actually survive???
Read on and find out!
This book melted my heart and made me smile with overwhelming joy at the same time. I absolutely adored Nathan and Bailey, throw in Joel and the main characters were off the charts amazing. This book hit a lot of chords for me personally and these characters felt like good friends talking directly to me about not letting the past define who I am today. I needed to hear that (or read it at any rate). I frequently learn new things from Susan Stoker’s books and while the learning with this book is related to me and my life it doesn’t make the knowledge any less valuable. There is one scene that may be painful for some readers (don’t worry nothing happens to Nathan, Bailey or Joel), but I think if you read this book you might find some healing at the end. I am a huge Susan Stoker fan and this book made me love her writing even more.
Claiming Bailey was WONDERFUL! Nathan our hero, is completely different than his brothers but his differences were something that I found pretty…HOT! He is soft spoken, sweet, not as muscular as his brothers, but smart and just as protective and wonderfully caring. He fit Bailey who is beautiful, tattooed, and who is determined to protect her brother from her mistakes that she made in the past. I found her to be such a lovable character. She and Nathan were SO meant to be together and I really loved their story!
Claiming Bailey had some breathtaking, heart-attack inducing suspense that certainly had me on my toes! Its exactly what I have come to expect and LOOOOOVE with Susan Stoker! This book was unique and sexy, suspenseful and full of romance and sigh and drool worthy hero. I TREASURE this unique and brilliant romantic suspense!
Claiming Bailey gets a STUNNINGLY SWEET AND HEART THUMPING FIVE SHOOTING STARS! Every time I think Susan Stoker’s stories can’t get better, she proves me wrong…EVERY TIME!
