Nothing is more important to Blake Anderson than the work he does with his brothers at Ace Security. At least that’s what he thinks until he meets the fiercely independent Alexis Grant. The security firm’s new intern pushes all his buttons—and makes his temperature rise. But giving in to temptation might be risky business.Alexis can tell that Blake has his doubts about her ability to commit. But … commit. But while most people look at her and see only a flighty rich girl, she knows he sees much more. Determined to prove herself to Blake, Alexis jumps at the chance to work undercover. And when her case takes a dangerous turn, she puts her trust—and her heart—in his hands.
Now, as Alexis digs into the deadly secrets of a local gang, Blake will lay everything on the line to protect the woman he’s come to love.

This story had me on the edge of my seat from the beginning. Alexis is a strong, independent woman who is trying to find her place in the world. She and Blake are intense and steamy! I loved the agnst and heartfelt emotions that were portrayed by Alexis and Blake. In true Ms. Stoker fashion, this story ROCKS!!
As a former army nurse and the wife of a retired special ops army soldier, I share a special bond with Susan Stoker. Her flawed but utterly loveable heroes and the women who love them or so relatable, I would swear she picked them out of my life !
Claiming Alexis ,book 2 in Susan Stoker’s Ace Security Series, is a damsel in distress story. But once again Susan has added her own special twist. At first glance Alexis may appear to be a naive rich girl, but as the plot evolves so does Alexis character. Susan does a masterful job of developing Alexis. The reader begins to see as the hero Blake does, that Alexis is strong and it’s simply impossible for her to ignore doing what is right to do, no matter the personal consequences. She may get into trouble, she may be terrified of what might happen, but she sets all that aside, trusting Blake and his brothers, to have her back.
Susan’s novels include such descriptive settings,I find myself trying to locate them when I travel with my husband! I get that not all may be real but her imagery is so vivid they must be based on places she has travelled to while researching her novels.
Susan’s romances are action-packed that will have you holding your breath, wondering if the calvary will come in time. Claiming Alexis is full of steamy love scenes that will have you taking cold showers several times a day!
Susan Stoker is one of my favorite romance writers for a reason. Pick up Claiming Alexis and learn why!
Alexis and Blake
Claiming Alexis is the next book in the Ace Security series and I’ll admit I read book five before the others which I loved so much I knew I had to read the rest….and I was right
Alexis works with Ace Security when her brother together with Grace in the previous book are blackmailed with photos by a gang. Alexis and Blake are investigating with Blake’s brothers to put a stop to the gang and their skills for hire gig
A great story that was action packed and suspenseful but also filled with romance and steamy moments I can’t wait to start the next story….I really want to know more about Bailey
“Claiming Alexis” is the second book in the Ace Security series and it is the story of Blake Anderson and Alexis Grant. Alexis works as an intern at Ace Security and she has a thing for Blake, she just feels like she needs to prove herself. When the chance comes for Alexis to work undercover she grabs it, and when things don’t go as planned it is up to Blake and his brothers to protect her.
This is a great addition to the series but it can be read as a stand-alone.
This book is good read for me. I admired Alexis’s courage to stand up to a former bully while helping the authorities, her boyfriend and his brothers. I’m not crazy about people taking advantage of Alexis because of her money. I’m glad to see how the author deal with those bullies, it’s worth it.
Blake Anderson had his doubts about spunky Alexis Grant. She was feisty, cheeky and happy go lucky type of woman. She also proved to be tenacious, resolute and seeming fearless. He’d fallen for her almost immediately. Alexis hatches a plan to do some undercover work into the Inca Boyz. Blake reluctantly agrees and despite all their planning she ends up in harm’s way. Knowing his woman is in danger almost does him in. He moves heaven and earth to rescue her.
Susan Stoker is an amazing author, and she makes her characters so real and believable. She draws you into the story from the beginning, and does not let you go until the very end.
This book has everything we have come to expect from a Susan Stoker book; a sweet alpha swoon-worthy hero, a kick butt heroine, action, humor, suspense, romance and some very hot and steamy scenes.
Can’t wait for the next one!
A very fascinating story of the middle Anderson brother and Alexis falling slowly in love. Alexis is a wonderful character that is convinced of what she’s doing – namely heading into the lions den that is a dangerous gang. But when shit hits the fan Blake is out of time for her rescue. An amazing second book in the Ace Security series.
A excellent suspenseful story. Alexis is Bradford’s (Ace Security #1) little sister. She is smart and headstrong with a lot of guts. Although rich, she is not spoiled. Blake is the middle triplet of the Anderson. He knows what he wants when he sees it. After several months of working with Alexis, he realizes she is it. She has been in love with Blake from the first but has a hard time believing he could really love her. Then there is the gang she has been researching from when Grace was taken (book #1).
Erin Bennett did an excellent job portraying the characters and narrating. Her pacing was especially good.
There is nothing wrong with this series, it’s professionally done (which is a blessing) I have read a number of them. But there is nothing original or special either. With authors like Krentz or Elizabeth Lowell you get so much more, a richer experience.
Loved these characters. He’s got it easy. At work, he only has to flex an arm muscle, and she’s hot and bothered. She hasn’t had it easy either. And what she did with and to those gang members, so brave. And I would take a proposal like that.
I’m really enjoying this Susan Stoker series. Her heroines are no shrinking violets. They are strong and resourceful and the masters of their own destiny. Her heroes are swoony, strong alphas who know when to step aside and be the support.
“I’ll always be your strength when you don’t have it for yourself, your sounding board when you need one, or simply your supporter, cheering you on from the background.”
-4 Stars!!-
Terrific
This books brings tog Bailey & Alexis. Her brother Bradford was going to be blackmailed by Grace’s parents before they were out away. Now Alexis is getting into on the Inca Boys but lots happen including love.
This is the second story in the Ace Security series, it easily stands alone.
One of the brothers Blake is working with Alexis, a rich young woman finding her way in the world. Alexis goes undercover into a gang by meeting up with an old high school friend turned enemy. Does she get in over her head? Will she be found? Will she even get out alive? By chapter 16 I was in tears. Such action in this book after a bit of a slow start.
Alexis and Blake had amazing chemistry and I was invested in their tale.
I highly recommend this book.
4 stars
I purchased a copy of Claiming Alexis (Ace Security Book 2)by Susan Stoker and this review is given freely.
An opposites attract, workplace romance with a virgin heiress and an alpha male. Blake has taken Alexis under his wing as a PI intern and it is almost immediate attraction. This is a steamy novel with a heavier emphasis on the romance than the prior novel but still provides you with some graphic violence. As with the prior novel, the main female character is well off and had sustained some type of abuse as a child. Alexis goes undercover to help close down the Inca Boyz gang, some of whose members had brutally beaten her in middle school. Highly descriptive with updates on prior characters and an ending hook that just grabs you. Best if read in order in series. Best if read in order in series. Recommend age 18+
Alexis is enjoying her new found job at Ace Security. She has turned her brush with them as the sister of an unintentional blackmailer in to career! If only she could get Blake to see her as something other than a colleague. But that would mean staying at the firm longer than it takes her to get revenge on the gang who targeted her brother. That’s not part of her plan!
She also has a tough time realising that she is a likable person. She was always targeted by those who wanted her family’s money and she tried to hide from the “rich girl” stereotype a much as she can. Does she have a nice flat and car? Yes. Does she treat everyone else as a lowly peon? Heck no!!
But can she pull off the ultimate undercover job. Making nice with one her former mean girl friends to get the scoop on her involvement in the gang that Ace Security are after?
Blake is typical middle child. He is more chilled than his elder triplet but more assertive than his younger triplet. He has Inca Boyz in his sights and he won’t let them escape what they tried to do his sister in law. But working with Alexis has opened his eyes. He had her labelled all wrong and she is a real hard worker and a whizz at social media mining. But he fears that his brother is losing it when he signs off on Alexis going undercover with the gang. He can’t believe his brother would think Alexis is an “acceptable” loss!
I loved Alexis. She is no pampered princess and has a very real heart of the bleeding variety. She badly wants to be part of something real, with people who want her, not her cash. Blake is totally in the dark about his attraction to Alexis. She isn’t flashy, in his face, or stop the traffic gorgeous. She IS clever, brave, stubborn and unassuming … and totally under his skin!
I’m on tenterhooks to get my hands on Nathan’s story now. I loved the little lead in and can;t wait to see what adventure awaits!
This book is the second of the series titled Ace Security, based on a set of male triplets who formed their company after being abused as children by their mother. Though it’s a stand alone, it does continue with the theme of book one in that they are trying to dissolve the gang that almost killed the female character of the first book.
The story centers around Blake and the new recruit, Alexis. A young woman that is still trying to find herself. At first I wasn’t sure I would like the book, since I found the dialogue in the first couple of chapters a little choppy and at times I felt the story dragged, then moved along quickly. But once I got over that , it moved along smoothly.
Blake and Alexis rather quickly develop a romance, and the action is their attempt to infiltrate the gang to get information on how to bring them down. As with the previous book, I liked more the male character , than the female character.
We also get a glimpse of the female character that I suspect will be the love interest for the third brother, Nathan.
For me it was more of a 3.5 but I do respect the author and her dedication, and for that , she gets a 4 star.
I was gifted this copy by Netgalley. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
I am a huge Susan Stoker fan. My all-time favorite series is her SEAL of Protections series. I didn’t think anything could top that but then came her Delta Force and Badge of Honor series. When she announced, she was started a new series, I knew I would like it but I wasn’t prepared on how much I would like it.
I loved the character of Alexis, she could have been written so many ways, but I loved Mrs. Stokers description of her. She is a rich girl who people continue to take advantage of. She is fully aware of this but sees it is a part she must play. When she starts working at Ace Security, she realizes her calling and wants to do good things in the word and be seen for the person she is not who she is perceived to be. I loved that she was shown to be both tough and vulnerable in the face of danger.
I loved Blake, he is less forceful than his brother Logan but he is just as protective when it comes to the person he loves. I loved that he saw Alexis for who she is. I liked that he respected her enough to understand her need to go undercover. He didn’t like it and let her know that but he also understood her need to do this.
This was an amazing read and I can’t wait for book 3.
This is the 2nd book in the Ace Security Series. This book holds your interest and keeps you rooted to the book, just so you can find out what happens next.
I thoroughly enjoyed watching this couple as they started out as coworkers and went full into lovers. This book had a good pace and didn’t feel rushed at all. It felt realistic and comfortable to read.
I did learn that “Arm Porn” is a thing and now see arms and think arm porn. LOL
IF you’re looking for good read that keeps you intrigued, this book is for you…
This is a very good series!! Well written stories and characters!! Can’t wait for book 3, Claiming Bailey!!
