From USA Today Bestselling Author, Betty Shreffler comes the first installment in a passionate, riveting, and adventurous royal romance series. In a world where a woman’s purity is the fine line between being Queen and being killed, he was given one duty – to protect my purity and above all, to protect me. Both were a battle we weren’t ready for.Forced by tradition, and as their chosen Queen, I … for.
Forced by tradition, and as their chosen Queen, I must endure my trials and the suitor phase, ultimately giving myself to a man from the Royal Houses. Each one competes to be my King, all wanting what no other has had…my purity.
To have what I truly want would risk my entire reign, but to do what is expected of me would destroy my heart. My only protection is to follow through, giving each royal the opportunity to win their prize…me in a bedroom suite and a crown atop their head.
Behind closed doors, I commit my biggest sin, loving a man I’m forbidden to have. When the time comes for me to be crowned, I’ll be forced to make a choice – risk our love or risk my life.
From the Author: This series contains multiple men pursuing and having a relationship with the lead heroine. May not be suitable for readers who dislike love triangles, MFM, or why choose RH. This series is packed with passionate romance, drama, action, and unexpected twists. Once you start, you won’t want to put it down!
Crowned and Claimed is a continuation series and includes:
Claimed Royalty

On the last day of her twenty-fifth year, her life as she knows it will change.
Her freedom to choose has always been limited and that isn’t about to change.
Royal blooded suiters have come to win her heart and their place beside her on the throne.
First she must pass through each suiters house trial. Prove her character, bravery and spirit to her people.
Is her heart already taken, can her suiters change this?
This book .. just wow!..
I didn’t fully know what to expect but my heart has been well and truly pulled in one hunded and one different directions through the course of reading it.
Fiore loves fiercely, fights fairly and has a heart of gold. She’s a dream to read about so much goodness in her pure heart.
Matheas is torn between his heart and his head. I felt his pain and anguish deeply.
Together from childhood, forever by her side. Their chemistry is amazing they make for a fantastic couple!
I loved how the suiters were poles apart in their characteristics, how they went about trying to win her over.
Just as I thought the trials and tribulations were over curve balls were thrown and everything suddenly got heated!
Delicious and dangerous. Angst, drama and a struggle to the end.. This book has it ALL!
The ending though.. I’m hanging.. please don’t let me fall!!
I could not stop reading until I was done. The story was riveting until the end. Now I need more. I am not much of a science fiction reader and this is partially science fiction to me. She is going to be Queen but only if she passes the other houses trials and keeps her virginity intact. But she so wants her guard and he wants her too can they play a bit without going to far?
I really liked this book. It was a romance but it also had plenty more to offer the reader. The engaging storyline had drama, action, intensity, excitement and intrigue. This is only book one so please be prepared for the cliffhanger. Fiona was an interesting character and I thought the position she was in was unique and complex. Matheas, Luther and Kellan all had great chemistry with Fiona. Right now I’m torn over who should win her heart. Can’t wait for book two to read more of this complex and entertaining read.
Betty Shreffler knocked it out with this book! I loved it. Strong story, amazing characters crazy twists.
Can’t wait to find out what happens in the Twice Claimed: Crowned and Claimed Book #2.
Wow! What a incredible sexy book! I was hooked from the start and I was on the edge of my seat to the very end. Claimed Royalty is the first book in the series. It’s a sexy action packed book you don’t want to miss. I will admit I needed several tissues while reading this so consider yourself warned. Lol! Fiora is preparing to become the Queen and she has to go through many trials and suitor phases to find her King. Some suitors are truly there for Fiora but are just there for the crown and land. You can imagine how ugly things can get when a bunch of men are trying to win the heart of a beautiful Princess. Will Fiora be able to choose a man from the Royal Houses or will she follow her heart and choose the forbidden man who has owned her heart for years? I can tell this series is going to be amazing and I can’t wait to read the next book!
Hot romantic suspense that had held me in it’s thrall!
Claimed Royalty is the first book in author Betty Shreffler’s new three book Claimed And Crowned series, and from the first page I felt like I hit the ground running into a plot full of, well, EVERYTHING!!!
I am introduced into the new fantasy world of Anauka, where Princess Fiora is soon to be crowned as the new monarch of her kingdom on her 25th birthday. But first, she must undergo a series of physically dangerous trials presented to her by the Houses of the potential royal suitors who wish to claim her hand in marriage. At her side, though, is Matheas who has grown up alongside her and been trained since childhood to be her lifelong bodyguard, and, I fell in love with him from the first page *sigh*. Over six foot, handsome, and lifelong training to be physically strong and protective, equals muscularity from head to toe……. On top of that, his fierce loyalty factor is off the charts. Hoowee, he feels pretty real to me.
When reading about a fantasy world created in an author’s head, there is always the risk of getting lost and confused because there is no road map save for the descriptions put together in their written word. My thoughts about the true gift of Ms Shreffler’s writing, is that even though a glossary is provided, I didn’t need to refer to it, such is the detailed descriptions that are in no way onerous enough to take away the sheer enjoyment I got from this book. One minute I’m wanting to kiss her in happiness, then through a series of plot twists, I felt like the rug was torn out from under me. But, in spite of this, I am excited to be reading this series, and there is a lot to be excited about, especially those bedroom scenes. There’s a lot that can be done while keeping a woman’s purity intact!
The characters have a solid feel to them, so they’re not just concepts within the pages, and I totally admired the physical strength and integrity of Fiora, setting her up among some of my favourite kick@r$e female characters! I mean, horse racing (I’d prefer motorbikes), guns, bows and arrows, lasers, hand to hand combat, and strategy – what’s not to love!!! Then there’s the aforementioned Matheas, and his brothers in arms. Seriously, whether you love or hate some of the characters, they all stand clear and equally present, as they should do.
No plot over-view from me because there is a plethora of awesome reviews out there already, and I will only reiterate every one of them that tells you this book is an absolute must read. Remember this is Book One in a trilogy, so no squawking about the cliff-hanger ending because I’m telling you, it’ll be worth it. 5 Stars, absolutely.
This was an a good read. I’m intrigued with the characters and will check out the next book.
It started out quite intriguing and promising but towards the middle I lost interest. I’m confused in what era this story is happening. It sounds like the future mixed with the past? Then it had to end with a cliffhanger.
I think where I lost interest was where it started to realized it was a fantasy, supernatural story. I usually do not read these kinds of storyline. If the reader is a fan of these kinds of stories, well pick this one up.
It is not a standalone but told in a dual POV.
As much as I love this author this read just didn’t do it for me. Yes it’s hot and passionate but the story fell flat for me and didn’t grab me the way her books have in the past. That being said my opinion doesn’t make it a bad book. I don’t think this author does bad. I was unable to connect with the characters or feel invested in the story. The story has many merits and the characters are part of it as well as the distrust and weariness of the princess and the situation she is in. There is an underlying story of the princess and what she must do to become queen and yeah her purity is a serious thing but it doesn’t stop her. It has the feel of a modern day medieval with soldiers and borders, neighboring kingdoms and jerk rulers. There is the feel of much to come and yes it is the first book of the series. I do love that she isn’t a damsel in distress and is a skilled warrior because it looks like she is in for the battle of not only her life but the kingdom as well.
