Kingsley
Something about Roxanne Young captured my attention before I even met her… the second I read her romance novel, I knew she was something special. Little did I know that she was going to be a familiar face from my past… Ivy
I always knew I was going to write under a pseudonym… after all, Roxanne Young is much more experienced in the language of love than me… a complete virgin … in the language of love than me… a complete virgin at the age of twenty-one. But I guess my older brother’s ex-best friend – and the CEO of the publisher I just submitted to – might be able to step in and give me some inspiration.

I kind of loved this story. It was entertaining and enjoyable as well as different. I’ve never read a story about a brother’s ex-best friend before, I’m glad I read this story though. The characters were interesting.
Kingsley is a publisher and Ivy’s brother’s ex-best friend. He is impressed by a novel that he receives from Roxanne Young and makes an appointment to meet her to discuss her book. Kingsley was sure she was something special but wasn’t expecting Ivy to walk in.
Ivy has wanted to be a real writer and has just received her first response for the manuscript that she sent out under her pseudonym. She makes an appointment to meet with the publisher as Roxanne Young. When Ivy gets to the dinner meeting she is surprised to see her older brother’s ex-best friend. She realizes that’s why she thought his name was familiar, he’s also the CEO of the publisher she submitted her manuscript to.
I loved that Kingsley was so open with Ivy about his feelings and what happened with her brother. Her dad and brother irritated me and made me want to smack them both several times. I was glad when Ivy let them know how she felt. Kingsley was so protective of Ivy that it was sweet. I loved their happy ever after and I recommend reading this book.
