Fast paced and a little steamy young adult romance.
The story isn’t bad, but the grammar is. The book needs editing, and the reader of the audiobook mispronounced words throughout. I had to knock stars off for the grammar and the pronunciation errors. Both of these things make a story less enjoyable when they are so prolific.
This is a fun reverse harem story. Cheyenne is the human female and Chase, Ridge and Grayson are wolf shifters. All three of the shifters want Cheyenne and they do some fun and entertaining things to try to convince her which one to pick, but why should she pick just one. I definitely recommend. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book that I received from Booksprout. My opinions are my own.
I have to be honest, it really wasn’t my thing. Don’t get me wrong, I love shifter books, and the storyline was original, but I didn’t really like the characters. The wolves are real wolves that can take “human form”, but they prefer their wolf skin. They don’t get the human world. If the see a female then they give her a drug, and “work it out” after the drug had taken effect. I wasn’t too keen on that concept. But I continued to read….. Cheyenne has moved to a new place, has a new job and a few new friends, but being the “fat friend” doesn’t get her many dates. So when Ridge shows an interest in her, she’s not that receptive at first. Ridge has met his mate, she just doesn’t know it yet !!! Cheyenne is his ideal woman, all those curves !!! But she’s a little wary, so he is all up for spiking her drink, claiming her, then letting nature take its course !!! As far as Ridge, Grayson and Chase are concerned, each have a legitimate claim to Cheyenne, they haven’t even entertained the idea of sharing a mate (although their new alpha has a mate that he shares with two others) There is a lot of miscommunication between the four characters, and reading it I thought it would have ended as just Ridge and Cheyenne. It had potential, I just don’t think it reached it.
First let me state, I received an Advance Reader Copy, (ARC), but this in no way influences my review. I always leave an honest review.
What a gr8 & funny at times too story. Ridge kidnaps Cheyenne because the pack he was born into taught him that it was OK to kidnap humans to mate with. But he’s now in a different pack and those rules aren’t allowed & his female alpha, Chelsea, makes him release her and told him he had to get her the “human” way, by dating. He & his two best friends, Grayson & Chase, all have feelings for Cheyenne and the things they do to win her are so funny. I recommend this read 5 Thumbs up
