After she is caught with forbidden literature, twenty-year-old Caroline Chatterton is arrested and brought before Earth’s corrupt, tyrannical High Council, but she is saved from a harsh sentence when Commander Andrew Rossingham of Taar-Breck claims her as his bride based on the terms of an agreement made years ago by her grandfather. Before she kneels at Andrew’s feet to speak her wedding vows, … wedding vows, however, the High Council requires that Caroline submit to both an intimate, humiliating medical exam and a shameful public spanking at the hands of her future husband. But though the punishment leaves her blushing crimson, when Andrew takes her in his arms and masters her completely she cannot deny her body’s response to his stern dominance and skilled lovemaking.
During the journey to Taar-Breck, Andrew begins the process of teaching Caroline obedience, and after she sneaks away in an effort to avoid a well-earned spanking she learns the hard way that naughty wives have their bottoms punished both inside and out. But with the High Council still seeking to hunt down her friends back on Earth, can Andrew tame his headstrong bride’s reckless behavior before she puts herself in danger yet again?
Publisher’s Note: Claimed by the Commander is a stand-alone novel which is the first book in the Brides of Taar-Breck series. It includes spankings and sexual scenes. If such material offends you, please don’t buy this book.

At the beginning of the story, the protagonist is arrested for meeting with other ladies and talking about sex. During her imprisonment, the “inspections” done to her are far more humiliating than anything she even knew about from dirty books and conversations. So, yes, I liked the book. It was dirty, it dealt with humiliation, public indecency, butt plugs, chastity belts, spankings… you get the idea. Totally dirty. Short, fun, dirty read.
A great new series start, can’t wait to see where it goes next! The series starts off with a raid, then you start to learn about this massively oppressive and misogynistic new world order that will make you love the freedoms of the Spanish Inquisition. Since this is the first book in the series, there is a lot of exposition and world building. The characters are either evil or freedom loving rebels. Also, they are a little inconsistent so I hope that gets better as the story progresses. There is a whole ton of patriarchal domination and feminine suppression, like to an excessive degree. I don’t get how Elizabeth could just disappear and stay hidden but maybe that will be cleared up later too? I thought the relationship between Andrew and Caroline was microwaved but still felt believable. I’m interested in reading more in this series!
While the book was a fast read it was also very enjoyable. It flow to quickly and had a plot line to it. People should know that if they don’t li while the book was a fast read it was also very enjoyable. It flow to quickly and had a plot line to it. People should know that if they object to reading fairly explicit sexual scenes then this is in for them. Also there is one scene which she did not give her consent. You have to keep in mind that this is a fanciful science-fiction story and not reality. It was a quick enjoyable read.
Great series
I love a series where the characters in previous books are secondary characters in the next. Very clever!
fun read
It was a quick read and a bit predictable.
“Claimed By the Commander” is a thoughtful and well-written sci-fi romance. The setting is 100 years in the future on an Earth where 90% of the population has been killed off, women have no rights and most of them live under the strict control of a man. Noblewoman Caroline is strong willed and rebellious. She is arrested & charged with crimes that could result in extreme consequences. Fortunately she is saved from that fate. But is her rescuer someone she can trust? Andrew is firm, but sweet. I love the way he takes care of Caroline in multiple ways. They are strong as individuals and a dynamic duo. There are great supporting characters in their friends/families. There is danger, intrigue, spankings, compassion & love. There is tons of sensuality and some humiliation. Lesson learned – submission can be pleasurable and sometimes punishment is warranted. An entertaining page-turner!

This is my first book of this author and I enjoyed it. The story takes place in the future where women all but have their rights taken away, so when Caroline breaks a rule she is brought before the counsel for judgement. So when Andrew hears what’s going on, he claims her as his bride due to a contract her grandfather signed with him. There is drama and steamy scenes in this entertaining story line.

It was hot and steamy, passion, lust and BDSM.

This well written brides story about woman who is fulfilling her grandfather’s bride contract and she is trying to help her friends. This story has action, twists, turns, romance, and love. This does have triggers and is also a wonderful strong alpha shifter story. A must read

Book one in the Brides of Taar-Breck series, I will be reading the rest of the books in this series. Caroline Chatterton and Commander Andrew Rossingham of Taar-Breck’s story of suspense, drama, danger, kidnapping, spankings, and romance. The interaction and chemistry between the characters of Caroline and Andrew is amazing. The storyline is entertaining and filled with action and intrigue. I can’t wait for more from this author. I received this book as a FREE ARC copy to read and I voluntarily leave this review.
I went about this series a bit backward What can I say that seems to be a theme for me
The world building
and the universe created for this series is impressive. The Earth has destroyed itself (never saw that one coming) and out of the remains a new society has risen – oppressive and misogynistic run by greedy and deviant males (huh? shocker). We have made contact with other planets and are working with Taar-Breck for food and technology as well as safety.
The Characters
Caroline our heroine is a rebellious arse kicking young lady who has a heart of gold. Her rebellious streak is more curiosity and the want to understand.
Andrew is a decorated soldier and half human half Taar-Breck. I was a bit back and forth with him. I liked that he was not comfortable with the way the council ran things and that he felt the need to protect Caroline and was level headed about it. He did react out of caring and was endearing. There were a couple times I did not agree with him at all but they may have been the idea
Supporting – The secondary and supporting characters are spot on! I can not wait to read some of their stories.
The cast as a whole was easy to connect with and engaging
The story
I enjoyed Andrew and Caroline’s story a bit more than the previous one I read. Caroline is arrested by the council for participating in a forbidden ladies’ circle and a plot to incite rebellion (stars forbid women should think for themselves ) As she is about to be sentenced by the council Andrew steps in and provides documentation that she is to be his wife. The council wants blood but may have to settle for humiliation and a pound of flesh. Can Andrew save Caroline? Will Caroline play the part long enough for him to get her to safety? Will she ever learn? There are a few plot twists within the storyline as well as breadcrumb trails for future stories. Overall it flowed quite well and kept me engaged and curious as to what would happen next as well as a bit unsettled at times. As always with a first in series (at least for me) there were areas I would have liked more background and even more “meat” to the scene and others that I felt dragged a bit.
Looking forward to reading book two
Super sexy sci romance with elements that I loved!
Not enough substance.
This was a good quick read.
Sexy, little read, but I just wished there was more to the story. I would’ve liked to read more about her adjustment to the new planet and their future there; as well as what they do to get back at the Earth government.
A Brave Woman in a Man’s Mad World
Caroline is a young woman of Noble birth, arrested at home for Treason on a recessive, but futuristic Earth, where women must wear long dresses and be chaste and pure, In this xxx Alpha Alien book, by Sassa Daniels.
She is brought before the high council, a bunch of dirty old lecherous and cruel men, and put on display in a transparent gown to be judged and assigned her punishment. All for being a free thinker, a member of a small group of like minded women, called the Hyde Ladies’ Circle. Her sister, Elizabeth, was able to get out of the house and away, but Caroline doesn’t know what happened to her.
Caroline is saved from repeated public whippings and being sent to a brothel by Commander Andrew Rossingham, a huge, handsome, half Taar-Breckian Warrior. He is also the Taar-Breckian leader. Caroline’s grandfather promised Caroline to him in marriage. He has all the legal paperwork and swoops in just in time to save her!
Maybe she has been saved from The frying pan, only to be drawn into fire! Andrew is a big time Spankmeister and binder!
YEHAW! Ride em Bareback, Cowgirl!
The book has long scene of medical play and humiliation before Caroline and Andrew can leave Earth. Titillating.
I Love this kind of Alpha Male Sci-fi!
The book is very well written and thought out. Highly recommend for lovers of this genre.
