I enjoyed reading this entertaining yet quite suspenseful Sci-Fi romance. The complex characters are well-developed individuals that are realistically flawed & are inclined to be devious in order to obtain their goals. There is some good support from the secondary characters. The well-written plot is interesting & can be read as a standalone.
There is: a human female Qetesh agent (Treasure) is sent on a mission with the commander of the Hjott army (Oszul) but things don’t always go according to plans, various kinds of aliens, humans, friendship, friendly rivalry, adventure, action, missions, twists & turns, intrigue, suspense, drama, strange attractions, fated mates, conspiracies, escaped prisoners/terrorists, cyborgs, devious plans, danger, threats, abduction, conflict, violence, manipulations, compromises, contentment, some steam & a satisfying conclusion with a interesting epilogue.
Were all Terran women this exasperating….

Oszul was a tough well made male who unfortunately didn’t have a mate and like some many others there just wasn’t anyone to be paired up with.
Even though he’d lost to one of his close friends he wasn’t one to hold grudges.
He listened as the Premier Vorta asked for volunteers from the agents and he immediately heard a female quick response. And wow she was stunning he stood there day dreaming about her hair.
Okay that definitely was quite an awkward moment for him even as still watched her.
Treasure had been bored for far to long and she was looking forward to the up coming assignment.
She made nice small talk with her friend Treasure had even explained how the Premier was a enough male but he was totally a politician through an through and ever so boring.
Oszul had been over joyed at the prospect of using the new ship and made welcome to everyone who boarded the Scorpius. When someone dared to challenge his authority of the mission and his darn ship he did waste a moment defending himself.
However he did enjoy the Terran female’s ballsy move and trying to interject herself in a more upper crust position.
So he gave her a bone sort to speak now Treasure would be second.
She found herself frustrated by his mere presence Treasure didn’t volunteer because of him being the one in charge nor did she care about him. Even if something deep down knew better.
Oszul’s was trying to be fair when he’d handed them that particular request.
Once they’d received an encrypted they’d been left trying to figure out how they should deal with it and the possible ramifications of either action.
Oszul wasn’t about to back down from this exasperating female he was the one in charge even as tried his patience he saw nothing he needed to apologize for.
Treasure was beyond bratty as they left the ship she let her hurt feelings flow through her mouth, she knew how immature that made her appear.
Finally Treasure decided to do the dumbest thing she could think of she hide herself in the cargo hold of the vessel Kezon would be taken to Vurt.
Oszul hadn’t expected to find out that Treasure was missing and the moment he saw her standing there in the hanger they were using as base camp he’d asked her to be his second again then he did something without even thinking he kissed her.
Treasure still couldn’t grasp Oszul’s way of thinking especially when it came to how he treated her, she’d wanted us this assignment to prove her worth.
Oszul was beyond stunned he’d nearly missed something so profound in any males life its arrival could only mean on thing he’d finally found his other half.
He’d been caught deep in thought an nearly missed one of his men trying to reach him. He raced back to base he needed to see her, to make sure Treasure was still safe.
Oszul nearly lost his mind when he found her outside the ship darn near frozen to death he did the only thing he could think of and he quickly stripped first her and then himself desperately to warm her.
He was determined to make who ever interrupted his moment was going to pay dearly… But hey this wasn’t how he planned to keep her safe.
Treasure was beyond furious first he start something then he left her again now she wasn’t sure he’d been gone for awhile so she did what any female shouldn’t do.
Oszul thought at first he was hallucinating but no she was really here.
He needed to share his secret with her even if he wasn’t sure how she’d feel about him but Treasure had a right to know After all it effect her as well.
Oszul understood she might have doubts about his deceleration he just hoped and prayed she didn’t leave him once this assignment was over. Even though he truly wanted to claim her Oszul needed Treasure to be absolutely sure.
He’d honestly never thought he receive such a gift from the universe but now she was everything to him.
Oszul had been so busy that he hadn’t even noticed she was gone until he actually went looking for her only now the significance of the situation had finally sunk in his darn head he needed to find her before she got hurt.
