When an attack on the palace forces King Thras to rescue human slave Chera, he can no longer deny his attraction to her and will claim what’s his.
Palace slave Chera fears she will be alone forever, but when rogue forces attack and kidnap the princess, injuring Chera, she awakes to find the enigmatic King Thras watching her with peculiar fascination. The newly crowned ruler has always been … been stand-offish, yet his intentions are clear: he wants her.
King Thras wasn’t ready to take the throne, but he holds the responsibility of ensuring peace in his system. The attack and kidnapping of his sister is an act of war, and it exposes the warrior’s true weakness: his feelings for the human slave Chera. He’s always been able to resist temptation, but when she’s injured and his uxormea appears over his heart, he knows he’s in the presence of his true mate.
Can King Thras secure the safety of his kingdom and the heart of his mate, or will the forces intent on destroying his birthright succeed in ending his rule and his life with his true love?

I love a good scifi romance, and neither Zara Zenia nor Eden Ember ever lets me down. This book is no exception!
Claimed By The Alien Warrior King by Zara Zenia is a wonderful story to read. This is book number one in this wonderful series that I have enjoyed reading very much and can not wait to read what might come next. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about Sci-Fi and paranormal romance.

Chera is a human slave in King Thras’ palace. When his younger sister is kidnapped Chera is injured trying to save her. Although Jatrans aren’t allowed to take alien mates, Thras finds his true mate in Chera. The relationship between the two is often frustrating with too much waffling and their characters are both sometimes unlikable. However, I still would recommend this story because of the fast pace and the overall likability of both the characters and the story itself. An exciting adventure story, there is a lot of action right from the beginning and the intensity keeps building. I loved the way the characters grew throughout the book. The alien king was kind of an ass, but he makes a good comeback. I enjoyed reading this one!
An unexpected mate and a rescue to plan!

Chera was a human slave in the palace of the Warrior King Thras. When an enemy attacked the Palace, Chera tried to save there Princess but was unable to do so. The King found her gravely injured and took her to safety aboard the Vada Shadow, as it trailed the Princess’s abductors, rarely moving from her side while she healed. Something stored within the King as he carried Chera to safety; it was then that he knew she was his fated mate. I found this book an exciting and rewarding read. Thras had not expected his mate to be a human and did not expect her feisty attitude. He thought she would be happy to be his mate, and yet, he found a woman who thought for herself and was not pleased to be told she was his mate. Thras soon discovered, he had a lot to learn about dealing with his new mate.

Chera had been abducted and sold as a slave to an alien princess named Pari. Pari treated her human slaves well. King Thras, Princess Pari’s brother secretly watched Chera. When the palace was attacked and the princess and Chera’s friends were taken, Thras realized that Chera was his fated mate. She however was reluctant to agree. The journey to recovering the princess and Chera’s friends and of their lives together was filled with danger, doubt and excitement but in the end they got their HEA.

In this book we meet Chera and King Thras. When this book opens we find that the king is sitting on his thrown thinking of all the responsibilities that he must take care of. When he learns that an attack is on its way to him. He has little time to prepare before the palace is being bombed. He hears the screams of his sister but doesn’t make it in time. What he does find is a human slave that has been attacked and left for dead. He rescues her and finds that his uxormea (the thing that shows him he has found his mate) has burst forth for a human slave he is unsure what to do. As the new king he must mate with one of his own kind as well as someone of royalty and she is neither. Chera knows she is a slave and by no means has any rights but when the palace is bombed she jumps into action to save the princess she adores so much. All the times she has seen the king around the palace he has seemed like he hates humans so she has had little interaction with him. When she learns it is he who saved her she isn’t sure what to think. She knows what her place it and believes that nothing will come of them. Can these two find a HEA or will outside forces make sure it is them who do not survive to find out?
This is an amazing story. It does have its ups and downs I really want to tell you about. However I don’t want to ruin the story for any other readers. I will say this book will have you on the edge of your seat from the first word to the very end. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.
I am a fan of this author but I found this book disappointing. Neither Chera nor Thras were especially endearing. Was she proud of her military training or not? He certainly wasn’t the real badass he seemed to be in the beginning of the story. When she does stupid things, he just forgives her even though she put not only herself in danger but also the crew who came to rescue her.
The sex scenes were often incomplete and time jumped to the next day without any connection.
Since I had an ARC, I’m assuming the grammatical errors were corrected before it was released.

As stories goes, I felt that Thras and Chera ‘s was a bit different. Knowing that his father would not have approved of a human let alone a slave and the struggle to be true to his memory and yet when he finally is able to get close to Chera and discovers that she’s his fated mate, made for him and Chera’s struggle to reconcile her change in status with him that it’s not just an illusion that could disappear in a moment’s notice.

This book 1 in the The Vada Wars Book Series is a very well-written story with well crafted characters. He realizes She is his true mate. Can this be the start to making his people stronger? These wonderfully written characters, flaws and all, will make you feel their emotions and you will root for them to make the connection. They have wonderful chemistry. I cannot wait to read more.

I have to admit I have a hard time understanding Chera’s reactions to King Thras. I can’t decide if she is being foolhardy or if really understand the possible consequences of her behavior.

This is a fast well paced story with and exciting entertaining alien romance with a great plot. Chera is a human female slave that’s injured during an attack and the abduction of princess Pari. When Chera wakes she sees the King, Thras, watching her with a strange fascination. There are different kinds of aliens, humans, adventure, action, violence, manipulations and steam. The king finds that his uxormea happens while watching the human. HIs fated mate. Love the ending. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I loved how this is a rags to riches sort of story with Chera being saved by the new king and discovering she is his mate. The story is riddled with some danger but with passion and heat that I couldn’t put it down.

Chera is a human slave who was living on Terra. The exotic blue eyes female that she is catches attention form all species. She was kidnapped and of course made to be a slave/servant at the palace. She wa assigned to watch the princess Pari. Like so many species they woman are programmed to breed but over time they have lost the strength to wither carry the child to term or dies shortly afterwards. Thras is the King. His father is MIA and thought to be dead. The princess is kidnapped. Part of the staff was taken also after an assault on teh palace. Chera gets injured and for some reason the king is attracted to her. They are in pursuit of getting his kidnapped sister and he need to convince Chera they read fated mates.
The part I don’t really like is that she always calls him a jerk multiple times but his culture and customs basically made him that way. or they are not to make contact with the auctioned help. She finally stop to listen to him once he started explaining why and how his behaviors area “rude”. She can read the books and the language but it didn’t occur to her to ask important questions or understand why they are treated so poorly beside being bought and used for a reason. But they’re on an adventure to search their mating feeling, find the princess and the other servants/slaves. Are Thras and Chera’s destiny to be the king and queen of Jatra? No cliffhanger but the story line seems to have a mind of it’s own.

This is another page turner book by these authors. The alien and the girl are well written and they fit the story line to the end. I also like the description of the alien where he is not so human looking. My opinion on that. The heroine does her part equally well. I know if it were me in that situation, a whole lot of thinking and planning would be going on. The ups and downs, sideways turns, plus the danger is really good. This is my opinion.

A paranormal romance read that had danger, heat level, and an interesting storyline. The characters were ok but they didn’t wow me in this newest release. I found Thras and Chera’s interaction lacking, it didn’t give me the normal warm feelings I look forward to in a romance read. Don’t get me wrong the loving was hot but I wanted more substance in their character. This was my first read by the authors and it was just an okey story for me.
Very well written and attention grabbing. He is a new king. His sister is kidnapped and his slave injured. He has a fascination with this slave. Who he finds out is his mate. But there is a lot of trouble in the mix also. Lots of excitement, emotion, surprises, danger, intrigue and so much more. I received a review copy and voluntarily review it.
