There is: a beautiful but judgmental human female & Qetesh agent (Aryn Hillee) is accompanied by a cocky Hjott warrior (Kedun) to investigate an apparent escape from a biodome on a prison planet (Duthee), a dangerous criminal (Zyre), various kinds of aliens, humans, adventure, action, twists & turns, intrigue, suspense, drama, strange attractions, true mates, distress calls, deceit, threats, danger, enemies, conspiracies, devious plans, traitors, ultimatums, manipulations, conflict, violence, a claiming, contentment, some steam & a satisfying conclusion.
Such a fantastic story. Plenty of adventure, action, intrigue. Aryn is a human agent sent to help tract down perpetrators from an attack and she’s paired with Kedun and Vada Warrior. Kedun wants to find the perpetrators alone to avoid any distractions but Aryn is a big distraction. I loved the interaction between Kedun and Aryn. She doesn’t want to be a mate and he wants her for a mate. Who is going to win?? I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Assigned to a mission, that his skills in the Arena helped him to win, Kedun was cocky and full of himself when he met who was to be his partner in arms. But she was not far behind looking at him with contemptuous eyes. For me, the two were alike with their attitudes of greatness. And alas! With her eyes fixed on these two, Fate began to move her chips and gave them and exciting, intense and dangerous adventure that neither of them was waiting for. Kedun made me chuckle with his way to annoyed and tempt Aryn with his sooo masculine physique. Liked the action, the suspense, the plot intriguing plot development, the romance and the heated passion. Interesting and intriguing these Qetesh agents.

Having lost to Oszul in the fight to become commander of the Jatra army Kedun was now determined to win the role of mission scout as it was one her wanted. The role as commander of the army would have involve too much politics for Kedun to deal with. Where there is a will there is a way…

The crowd noise was beyond deafening as Kedun was pronounced the winner smiling he waved for the people.
Aryn couldn’t comprehend why males felt the need to show of in this was way.
She was the head of the Qetesh team and she needed to be seen in the best light possible.
There mission was to check out the bio domes and sort out facts from rumors.
However wonderful life can be it never ask your permission to switch tracks.
Kedun stood there wearing a towel as Aryn starred at him, he knew his uxormea
was glowing bright.
Yes she could see it. This was the last thing Aryn had expected and he asked her if she knew what it meant?
No of course she didn’t. The word mate came out of his mouth.
As Murphy law so eloquently states
Anything that can go wrong will go wrong and at the moment everything was chaotic and getting worse.
Aryn had very few choices left all she needed was to be brave and find her courage.
If at first you don’t succeed try and try again Aryn realize she was it there was no one else to save her but herself then Kedun.

Not only do they need Aryn and Kedun’s ship to escape, they intend to take over Vada and one of the prisoners wants to force Aryn to be his mate.
