The last thing this sexy alien expects is a captivating human who makes him vulnerable to wicked temptations. Will one searing kiss unleash his raging desires?
Gruff, pragmatic Noatak is just trying to get from one day to the next without failing his captain and crew. His ionic ability has always given him an edge when it comes to hijacking corporate ships, but his powers are on the verge of … are on the verge of collapse, and the ship’s doc says even taking a mate will kill him unless they find a cure. To complicate things, a captivating new crew member appears to be just his type.
Marlis has a sixth sense for danger, a keen aim with her pistol… and a dream-crushing brain injury. She planned on becoming a trooper her whole life, but now she’s disqualified. Setting out to find a new career, she takes a job working alongside a huge, bearded alien with gleaming copper skin and bedroom eyes. When the ship’s doctor claims he can repair her brain injury, Marlis thinks she may’ve just found her dream job.
But there’s always a catch…
No cliffhangers and a guaranteed HEA. You can read this as a standalone, although you’ll probably enjoy it more if you read Rescued by Qaiyaan first. WARNING: The series contains explicit language, sexual situations, and possible triggers and is intended for audiences 17 years and older.

This is a fabulous book. Third in a series, that just keeps getting better. (And the first one was great.) Noatak has a health issue and Marlis has brain trauma . Can they be fixed? Can these two get together? Will they survive each other and Syndcorp? This book has great characters and an engaging storyline. The world that Tamsin has created is one that takes you away. You don’t realize how much time has gone by. The only disappointment is when the story finishes, because you want to read more because it is so great.
Noatak was introduced in the first book “Rescued By Qaiyaan”. He was “second in command”, gruff, and suspicious but is loyal and has a heart of gold once he trusts you, so I looked forward to read this book about him. Tamsin did not disappoint me, this is another great book in this series with our Space Pirates. In this Noatak who has his own ship and crew falls in love with Marlis who is ill and agrees to be a test subject for the nanites but the bad guys – Syndicorp make it a bumpy road to happiness. Again the crew introduced in this book especially Twerp was adorable. There’s action, romance, drama and hunky aliens to fall in love with for future books. I volunteer to read and review this ARC.
Oh wow this series just keeps getting better and better. I’m so anxious to know want will happy to this galactic pirates. Will they be able to defeat the syndicorps? and will we know more of Lisa brother? There just so much to come and to know more of this denaidans that I’m so looking forward for more.
This wasn’t as good as the previous book but I really like Marlis. Marlis has a brain injury that puts a stop to her dream to become a Trooper for Syndicorp. Her father and sister don’t believe she can live alone and independent. As she nears her 26th birthday, her dad wants her to date a man, with the goal of marriage, so he can take care of her. Marlis takes matters into her own hands.
This is listed as book 3 of 3. There was so much left unfinished and unanswered that I was sorry to have read this series. Thankfully, the author’s note at the end says there will be another book. Book 4 is Lisa’s twin brother Doug, who seems to have been turned into an unemotional cyborg from the nanites, and Marlis’ older sister, Attie. It should be interesting.
This is the third book in the series. So far, I’ve read them all. This one had a little more romance than the others in my opinion. The characters Marlis and Noatak are interesting. Marlis suffers mild memory loss caused by an injury she suffered when she was a child. Her mother was killed at the time. Noatak is a hardened space pirate warrior. He is instantly attracted to her and she to him. It doesn’t take long before the action begins. Step on board the spaceship and meet these two characters. They have both been dealt serious blows in their lives. There are sexual scenes in the book. I think they are handled well. This series has gotten my attention with good writing. I’ve seen only a few errors in these books. I think you will enjoy this series but I recommend you read them in order.
I jumped into this series with book 2, and once finished I had to immediately get book 3! These stories are fantastic, funny, sexy, and addictive. Eagerly awaiting book 4.
This is my favorite installation of the “Galactic Pirate Brides” series. Right from the start, I connected to the characters, and the chemistry between Noatak and Marlis was deliciously palpable.
Tamsin Ley really hit it out of the park with this one!
A must read!
The truth about Syndicorp is slowly coming out as the pieces of the puzzle get revealed. Our latest pirate is terminally ill when he encounters his mate. The AI provides the humor, Syndicorp provides the danger and our story gets another mated pair.
Book three in the Galactic Pirate Brides and I could not put this book down, each page flowed smoothly into the next one a well-written story. I hope there is going to be more in this series. I received a copy of this book and I am leaving an honest and voluntary review.
They both want so much to do what they gave trained to do but health and other things get in the way. They end up working together and she can be fixed buy at what price? What happens to him? It is exciting, intriguing, emotional, has lots of twists and turns in it. I received a review copy and voluntarily review it.
This was a good addition to this Galactic Pirate Brides series. Noatak is introduced in earlier books and described as being kind of suspicious and grumpy. I love it when a character like that, who we just KNOW is a sweetheart underneath, is given a chance at love. I have really enjoyed getting to know the crews of the Kinship and Hardship (love those names too!) Tamsin has created a really cool world that is pure enjoyable escapism. I think this story has enough exposition woven into it to be considered a stand alone, but I HIGHLY recommend reading them in order for maximum enjoyment. I really hope we will be seeing more of these very interesting characters. This story was also very nicely edited. I read an ARC and volunteered to review this book.
Third in the series, but a standalone. You’ll meet the characters from the previous books but you don’t NEED them to read this (you’ll miss a couple of great stories though..). Marlis is a great heroine. She’s had a brain injury and isn’t able to remember things. She also has anger issues. She won’t be allowed to stay on the station she’s been living on so she goes in search of a security job. She finds a job and Noatak. They have an instant spark but Noatak is sick enough to not be able to take a mate. She also finds herself on a pirate crew and starts remembering her past. They’ll have an adventure as they continue to fight to save the world and themselves. Too much fun! Add in an AI with personality and brooding aliens and this is a story you don’t want to miss. Marlis is terrific and Noatak is only trying to take care of her but she’s not having it. I liked the characters, I liked the story and I’m enjoying the Galactic Pirate Brides series a lot. Looking forward to the next book in the series. (I voluntarily reviewed an ARC).
Ok, guilty pleasure time. Yes, I know. The whole concept of space pirates seems goofy. If I was a snob about my sci-fi I’d probably turn up my nose about it. Luckily I’m not, as Tamsin Ley’s Galactic Pirate Brides is fun as sci-fi, fun as romance and just fun period. I actually first came across this series in its book 1, Rescued by Qaiyaan. That book (which I separately reviewed) was a totally fun and superbly done tale. It didn’t surprise me at all that it’s sequels, first Ransomed by Kashatok (Book 2) and now Claimed by Noatak (Book 3), were equally good. As with the others, this is a well written story with a great cast led by a perfectly crafted heroine (Marlis) and the perfect guy for her (the eponymous Noatak). Total reading pleasure that can be read as a standalone (and I’d keep the 5 stars review of it as a standalone) bit which is even better if you’d read the prior stories. But for the fact that I’m literally dictating this review to my husband from my hospital bed I could go on and on with praises – the book definitely deserves it. Since I can’t do that I will simply note that the book is most definitely one to read, it is easy to highly recommend. I’m definitely looking forward to the next book in this series.
This is a great sci-fi romance that will keep you glued to the story. There’s lots of intrigue and suspense that will keep you turning the pages to find out what happens next. I think Twerp and Noatak were my two most favorite characters. I voluntarily reviewed this after receiving a free copy.

This book is filled with action and intrigue, the chemistry between the characters is wonderful. I can’t wait for more from this author. I received this book as a FREE ARC copy to read and I voluntarily leave this review.
Noatak, oh man, yes please! And him with Marlis, oh wait ..can he?…this is getting good!! Pirates, conspiracies and throw in an AI (Twerp).. yes, I love Twerp.. I hope there’s more of Twerp in the future! Then we have Attie… Attie, girl, you are amazing! And Doug? Squeeeee!!! Yes, sign me up!! This series just keeps getting better and better!!
I want an AI like Twerp…She’s just awesome!
Oh my heavens. If there were a way for me to adopt a hot, copper skinned, heartbreakingly sweet alien man, I would totally pick Noatak. Seriously, my poor heart just adores him.
Alright, gushing done, now down to business. This review will catch you up and has no real spoilers.
Noatak is book three in Tamsin Ley’s Galactic Pirate Brides series which chronicles the journey of a group of alien men called Denaidans and their quest to save their race from extinction. They have a very specific set of bodily functions that prevents them from being able to take mates outside of their species, and their planet, along with all their females, was destroyed by an evil corporation that essentially runs the universe. This series follows two ‘pirate’ ships and their crews in the search for a cure as well as vengeance on those who almost killed off their entire race. So far, we’ve followed the two captains who have both found mates with the help of ‘nanites’ (tiny electronic machines that can enhance a body, or destroy it).
Noatak is the first mate of the Kinship under captain Qaiyaan and has thus far proven loyal and good natured. He also has some medical issues we didn’t know about that have him playing reckless. At this point in the story, they are trying to find women who will be hosts for these nanites and potentially become mates for the Denaidans. The recruiting falls to Noatak and Joy (Kashatok’s mate) which leads them to find Marlis and Emmy.
Marlis is the daughter of a general in the very corporation who the Resistance is fighting against. She has memory issues due to a horrific incident as a child, but is kickass with weapons. She has a small wrist bound AI that assists her who she named Twerp. Hands down, Twerp is one of my favorite characters thus far. Mrs. Ley has a habit of making her side characters absolutely adorable and they often steal the show for a scene.
Noatak and Marlis embark on their journey with a bang and it leads on from there. Their story has some extremely heart-wrenching moments both of the sorrow-filled and of the joyous persuasions. We learn a lot in this installment and it has me looking forward to the next book with great impatience! This book can be read alone, but you will miss out on so much if you don’t read the series in order. Give them a shot and I am more than sure these big copper skinned aliens will find a place in your heart.
What a great story! It’s got a fabulous alpha hero and a heroine who is so beautifully flawed that you can’t help but admire and wish to emulate her. You don’t need to read the other books to follow the action, but it would certainly make it more enjoyable and you’re going to want to know more about the marvelous characters that populate this world. This author tells great stories with vibrant descriptions and a healthy dose of heat. Don’t miss this series.
