Sometimes dreams really do come true. Everyone has that special someone – their first love. The memory of that person who brings butterflies to your stomach and a smile to your lips. My first love was Owen Moore. He was my best friend’s older brother, a broad, strapping alpha who never failed to make me feel safe. I spent most of my childhood at the Moore’s house, their open warmth a welcome … open warmth a welcome relief from the cold reception my own parents gave me.
Owen never looked twice at me then.
Now I’m back in Blackwater, teaching at the local school. Owen’s in Blackwater, too, protecting and serving as part of the police force.
I still love him – but this time, I’m not a kid anymore. It’s time for me to show him just how grown up I really am.
Game. On.
Welcome to Blackwater, Montana – a small town with a big personality, where shifters and humans coexist. Moore Than A Crush is a dual point of view, shifter mpreg novel with a guaranteed happy ending. The second in this series, this book can also be read as a standalone.

I loved this story so much! It had heart and sweetness, mess up in communication and reviving from a past that was not perfect I except in one way!
This story shows that sometimes you don’t see what’s right in front of your face!
Sweet story with a little angst and longing
Lukas and Owen have known each other forever, growing up in the same small town and with Owen best friends with Lukas’ brother Austin (from book 1). In all that time they were never involved, but when Lukas moves back to town as a grown man, things heat up and the situation changes pretty quickly. Can they find their HEA despite Owen’s fears of a relationship and Lukas’ personal history?
Well written, AO story focus, Lukas’ sweetness and Owen’s protective instincts, great chemistry, and supporting characters that we love and know already from book 1 help make this book a great read for when sweet and happy endings are what you long for. There’s lots more stories to tell in this town and I’m looking forward to the next one!
Lucas has been in love with Owen – his best friend Austin’s older brother – for what seems like forever, but Owen has always treated him like a cherished little brother, not as the equal… the man … that Lucas has become. This first installment of the Blackwater Pack series (not counting the prequel Claiming My Best Friend) is a sweet story with lots of heat – best friend’s brother trope makes this alpha/omega shifter mates pairing all the hotter. I’m really enjoying this series a lot, in no small way due to Nikola Muckajev’s narration. Recommended!
I had a weakness for anything paranormal and shifters are really high on that list. This series start presenting us to Owen and Lukas and how they got together. It is a brother’s BFF love story, with some angst situations, a bit of danger but a happy ending. Great way to start a series!!
I received this book as an ARC and this is my honest opinion.
This book has a great plot that has quite a bit of action
which makes it a real page turner.
The characters are well developed and come to life on the pages.
If this is your genre than you will find it a good read.
I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book via Booksprout.
Claimed by My Protector by author Liam Kingsley is a fantastic read. I loved the emotional connect and the love these men have for each other. This is the second book in the Blackwater Pack, I have not read the first book in this series and I was not lost at all.
Owen has always protected Lukas even when they were kids. Lukas was Owen’s little brother’s best friend, but Owen always felt connected to him. Owen is a police officer now a job that allows his protective instincts to shine. He is Alpha, kind and gentle, but strong when needed.
Lukas is coming back to his hometown after being away. He is a teacher. He is an Omega. He has always thought of Owen. He is the special person who has always allowed him to be his own person cause he knows Owen will have his back. Now thought that has blossomed into something more. He wants Owen to see him as an equal, a mate for life.
I love how each of these men grows in this book. They have their own hang-ups to get over and they do it with grace and style. I personally would love to read more about Owen’s family and the mates they will have in the future. I loved this story and did not want it to end.
Five Shooting Stars
He never expected that his one time crush on the guy who protected him could really turn into something more- especially if he can really convince him that he is not a kid brother, or someone unable to handle the dangers he daily faces.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout. I have read most of the books in this series on Kindle or Kindle Unlimited.
A great choice if you enjoy steamy m/m romance/ adventure!
