New York Times and USA Today Best-Selling Paranormal Romance Author Felicity Heaton presents:
Claimed by a Demon King (Eternal Mates Paranormal Romance Series Book 2)
The moment the demon King Thorne of the Third Realm set eyes on the mortal huntress Sable, he knew she was his fated one. The fiery, dangerous female awakened hungers he had never experienced before, a dark craving and passion that … and passion that has consumed him in their time apart. As the lunar cycle wanes, she enters his world again and nothing will stand in the way of him claiming his forever with her—not the relentless assault from the Fifth Realm or the dark elf male determined to seduce her out of his grasp.
Intent on achieving the coveted position of commander at Archangel, Sable leads her small team into the dark underworld and the Third Realm, to a war where her allies are the very creatures she normally hunts—vampires, werewolves, and demons. Her eagerness to lead the deadly mission has everything to do with winning her promotion, and nothing to do with the kingdom’s brash, lethally seductive demon king—a king who stirred fierce desire and wildfire heat in her with just a look and an innocent touch when they first met, and has been in her wicked dreams ever since.
As the gathering storm between rivals unleashes irresistible passion that flares white-hot and the heat of the battle brings life-shattering realisations, can Sable place her duty before her heart? Or will she surrender to her deepest desires and be claimed by a demon king?

Alright! Book 2 in the Eternal Mates series, Claimed By a Demon King continued the story where Tempted By a Dark Prince left off with Sable (Olivia’s best friend) and the demon king of the 3rd realm, Thorne (a friend of Loren’s). This was a perfect followup to that first book, as it was essentially a continuation (how could you NOT want to know what happened with Sable, Bleu, and Thorne?) that has the characters we now love all running into the war with the 5th realm of demons.
Thorne and Loren were very different characters, but they have similar motivations and morals, so if you liked Loren, I have faith you’ll enjoy Thorne. He was dangerous (he’s a demon king so I HOPE he’s dangerous), powerful, and primal, yet also loved, loving, and extremely noble. I really liked this take on demons (there are all kinds, good and bad). He made a great partner for Sable as she needed someone who could be patient with her.
Sable was kick-ass and also something of a hard-ass. It took Thorne a long time to get under her armor, but he managed (he’s too damned sweet for ANYONE to resist for too long). She had good motivations and a good heart, though she was certainly not the epitome of altruism that Olivia was, and I think that kind of made them fit as best friends really well. They got to grow closer in this book as well, which was awesome sweet.
The book was about both the war and the battle for Sable’s heart, because make no mistake, it was a battle. There were great fight scenes, really sweet moments, and steamy ones too. I know we’re a ways from Bleu’s book, but I am looking forward to his when we get there. This also set the scene for a few books including Vail’s (he’s next, squee!). Overall, and excellent read. There were a few sad moments though, to be sure. I really hope we see more of the band we already know going forward; I want to see how things progress there!
You will fall in love with these characters! Extremely descriptive. You can almost see the action happening before your eyes.
Good book with great characters. Really liked the story line
4.5 Stars
Claimed by a Demon King is a hot, adrenaline-fuelled read. I was really looking forward to this book after being introduced to King Thorne and Sable in “Kissed by a Dark Prince”. As such, this book was completely worth the wait.
Sable especially won me over in Felicity Heaton’s second installment of her Eternal Mates series. I have a love for strong female leads–female protagonists who fight and don’t simply roll over at the sight of a hot male. Sable was such a character; she really pushed her relationship with King Thorne while remaining true to her warrior character.
Thorne, of course, was a smoking-hot demon! He was a pleasure to imagine, and the author managed successfully to capture his POV with ease and an impressive level of emotive appeal. Heaton managed, once again, to evoke a strong reaction from me. I felt the characters’ passion and angst, felt their turmoil and desires. Heaton never ceases to surprise me with her control of the written word.
I thoroughly enjoyed book one, yet “Claimed by a Demon King”, Heaton found her stride and a new voice. Like her other series, one which we get a glimpse of in this book–which I admittedly became crazy, excited by–Heaton’s confidence in her new characters seems to grow as the series progresses.
I read it in a weekend on a camping trip loved it so much.
When two men fight over you it is never fun. Especially when one is convinced you are is other half and the other is one of your best friends. This is the situation Sable finds herself in while helping the demon king in a war.
Ever since Sable’s best friend Olivia met Loren their lives have changed and maybe Sable was a little jealous of them but for some reason she couldn’t get that demon off her mind. Only problems are Blue, her friend and Loren’s general, and her never wanting to be controlled.
Will the demon kings past soften this warrior females heart or will her friend win hers in the end? Battle it out in this amazing page turner.
