The Rise of an Incubus King Daniel was an Untouchable destined to be trained as a companion to a high ranking Cubus. A red-eyed Incubus screwed all that up at a dinner party, and Daniel is now a confused Changeling with a libido far exceeding anything he could ever have dreamed off.Seldon failed in keeping the Untouchable under his care safe, and he accidentally dosed the too young human. His … too young human. His worst fears came to pass when Daniel turned out to be a Changeling, and Seldon now has to face the Cubi justice for turning someone so young.
Luckily, Seldon has a powerful friend at his side—one who also has an eye for the young beauty.

And the story followed exactly where the previous book finished. Now the changes between Daniel’s and Seldon’s relationship and in Daniel’s status increased the complexity in the story so I strongly recommend to read it in order to fully understand the evolution in the plot. Emotional and sweet, this original story trapped me from the beginning, and all the explanations about Cubi history? Priceless!! Wonderful reading!!
I received this book as an ARC and this is my honest opinion.
Claimed Beauty is the second book in The Cubi series by Meraki P Lyhne. If I thought book one was interesting, book two is even more so. The world of the Cubi is further explored and has my full attention and desire for more. Seldon and Daniel are amazing together I love their bond… and all other characters are also great. I am wrapped upon this story and was blown away by some things uncovered here -very excited to see what unfolds next.
This series contains 9 books revolving around Daniel and Sheldon a 400+ year old Succubi. Personally it was a little difficult getting into this series. The Incubi and Succubi are the hierarchy and are brought humans as slaves to feed from. Daniel is supposed to be protected by Sheldon but as a young adult he is a curious person and want to learn more. Daniel is considered an Untouchable and is to be train to be a companion for the Cubis. Daniel becomes a Changeling by being dosed accidentally. Each book following tells of the changes and things Daniel goes through and sexual exploits. There are a few times you have to think back to get the sequence of events and figure out who is who but overall it keeps you enthralled to the end.
An excellent Sci-fi/ Erotic Fantasy romance!
Think outside the box ! No hell/ heaven, angels/ demons. This reads more like an erotic science fiction with underlying romance. It is not the standard demon romance, but rather a smart, funny, dramatically deep read that makes you think about the society of this race of people.
The character dynamics are strong and relatable and you will find yourself rooting for Daniel and lending him your strength with each turn of the page. Even though you may feel he is spoiled and deserving of some of the things he must face, you also want him to grow and find his place among the Cubi.
The Cubi are an ancient race of beings and as such believe in corporal punishment and carrying many of these punishments out publicly. Be warned… These scenes are not for the faint hearted. There are also MANY sexually explicit scenes. These are incubi after all.
So much to enjoy in this secret society. Recommend for the 18 and over crowd and anyone who loves good MM scenes mixed with their Sci-fi romance.
When it rains, it pours, and every time Daniel have wrapped his head around a change another one happens.
Where things seemed as confusing to me in the first book as it was for Daniel, in this the hierarchy becomes more clear and the rules they live by easier to understand.
We get a history lesson along with our young cub and it’s woven in to the story quite fluently, where as to not overwhelm us but still give us the world view that is needed the more the story expands.
Where as the first book started of giving the idea a darker theme, this one is sweeter with the affection growing between Daniel and Seldon, along with finding companions to rely on.
Daniel still needs to grow and Seldon does a very good job at aiding him to become something more than he started out as.
