He tried to romance her, but now it is time for his mate to be claimed. When Catherine Livingston travels to Italy to investigate her sister’s disappearance, it isn’t long before she crosses paths with the man who has been ravishing her almost every night in her dreams. More shocking still, the mysterious, darkly handsome stranger leaves her in no doubt that he is well aware of the connection … the connection between them and he has no intention of ignoring it.
Marco DeMedici seems to all but own the city of Florence, and it soon becomes clear that he will not rest until Catherine belongs to him, even if it means carrying her off, stripping her bare, and spanking her until she is sobbing, obedient, and begging him to take her hard and thoroughly.
Despite Catherine’s efforts to run from him, her body’s response to Marco’s stern dominance cannot be denied, and when he reveals that he is an alpha shifter it only makes it more obvious that her world will never be the same. She will be his mate, and the only thing left up to her will be how loudly she screams his name as he claims her as roughly and shamefully as he pleases.
Publisher’s Note: Claimed and Mated is a stand-alone novel which is the fifth entry in the Wayward Mates series. It includes spankings and sexual scenes. If such material offends you, please don’t buy this book. Also note that Claimed and Mated shares its setting with Adaline Raine’s previously published books Marked by the Alpha and Rules of the Pack, and it was written only after receiving Adaline’s permission and support.

Another great episode in the Wayward Mates Series. This time Marco & Catherine. These books are well written, great characters and a good (on going) story line. Thanks Delta for sharing their world with us.
I thought the characters were well written. Marco (the Alpha wolf) and Catherine (the human woman) were part of each other before Catherine was even aware Marco existed. Catherine sensed something but had no idea what it meant or what was going on with Marco. She led him on a merry chase as it is said.
I couldn’t fathom how the author was going to make Catherine submit, as she was a very strong, independent, opinionated woman. The way it was explained was subtle, yet intriguing.
There is also a back story about Catherine’s sister, human trafficking, and a feral pack which is pretty interesting. I can’t wait for her sister’s book.
This book can be read as a standalone. I think reading one of the previous Wayward Mates books would provide additional background, but is absolutely not necessary to enjoy this book.
This book is mostly focused on Marco getting Catherine to submit and accept that they are rated mates, while still retaining her independent nature. The story keeps your attention focused until the last page.
You do get romance, witty banter, friendship, support, loyalty, and a HEA. If descriptive sex, spanking, dominance, or submission offend you, then this is not the book for you.
I voluntarily read and reviewed the Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
Great characters and lots of heat!

I really enjoyed this book with the exception that Marco was just too alpha. Characters were extremely strong and vibrant. This ended with a cliff hanger so I asumme there will be at least a book two. Interesting storyline that flowed well. Hot, excellent read.

I love how this author manages to write a series where each book has a fresh feel, whilst also retaining a familiarity too. The ‘mated’ series is set in the real world, but it is one where shifters live secretly amongst us. Their culture is very patriarchal – men are in charge, pack leaders are always alpha males and their word very much goes.
Claimed and Mated is perhaps the most mild of the series so far, though please don’t confuse mild with boring or slow. The first three books contain a feel of dubious consent and have women forced into being part of a pack and taking mates. Whilst the women in question love their mates, and the men are good men who care greatly for their women, I do know that some readers struggle with these elements in a book. This story whilst still having some conflict (and plenty of spanking) had a more consensual feel, and definitely had less angst.
Marco and Catherine appeared briefly in book 4 of the series, but this book can easily be read as a stand alone. In fact it is set a couple of years *prior* to the other books in the series. In fact I feel this is equally a good starting point to the series as Book 1 was. The shifter element was also fairly minor to the plot, other than being fated mates and ‘knotting’ during sexy times. So again this is a good book to read if you’re not normally a fan of the genre. You do need to love discipline and spanking etc in stories though!
I really liked both main characters, they are both strong and determined personalities. The sparks definitely fly in this, igniting a passion and chemistry that is certainly very hot. Catherine’s actions and reactions felt very natural – I’m fairly certain I would have behaved in a very similar manner at times. At one point I initially felt that Marco wasn’t being fair, since Catherine hadn’t grown up in their society, but then I realised that he was just as unfamiliar with the culture that she had grown up in. He did attempt to compromise where he could, and Catherine had agreed to the ‘rules’ so couldn’t complain when she earned a punishment – especially when she had endangered others as well as herself.
There was a ‘loose end’ related to Catherine’s sister. I’m guessing that she will be the heroine of an upcoming book in this series, particularly given the background story that runs through the series. I’m really looking forward to reading these books.
This is one of my favorite authors and she has written yet another book that you’ll love. Marco, a shifter, finds his mate in a stubborn woman named Catherine. I enjoyed the chemistry between them and the fun and sexy times they have. This is another winner for readers of this series of books. I hope you’ll enjoy it as much as I do!

It was an absolute pleasure to read this delightful & very enjoyable wolf shifter romance
The story-line & plot is well-thought out and written. The characters are quite well-developed with individual personalities & they are quite realistic with their emotional feelings, expectations & a determination to succeed.
It is about: a alpha wolf shifter (Marco) goes on a business trip and finally meets his fated mate (Catherine) and decides, that he will not take no for an answer and will claim her but she just happens to be a feisty human corporate raider & just as determined to reject his advances.
There is: a hot alpha male wolf shifter, a feisty human female, a missing sister, a wolf pack, twists & turns, secrets, some humor, intrigue, memories, dreams, premonitions, friendship, verbal banter, manipulations, defiance, shock, anger, verbal conflict, discipline, spanking, emotional turmoil, confrontations, acceptance, love, happiness, steamy scenes & a satisfying ending.
I enjoyed reading this shifter romance and look forward to more from this talented author, & would recommend this book to people who enjoy reading this genre.
Fated mates are destined – resistance is futile. This series is a must-have. After all, what’s not to love, alpha wolves who will claim their fated mates no matter how feisty, reluctant, independent they may be. In fact, the feistier, more reluctant, and more independent they are, the tastier and spankier the conquest. My only complaint: I have to wait till the next book is released to feed my addiction to every alpha male in this series. Each is better than the last!
I really liked Catherine’s character. She is so strong and sassy. As a corporate raider she knew how to stand up for herself. She did this so well with Marco. She confounded him so much that it made me laugh out loud while reading. Yes, she must choose to submit eventually but really it is under her own terms. There are some interesting twists in the story too, that adds more layers to this creative story.
