I can always count on Alexa Riley to deliver an action-packed, steamy read. This one doesn’t disappoint!
I liked this story a lot, especially since we get to see more of our favorite couples’, Miles & Mallory (Miles’s is Jay’s boss) and Ryan & Paige (powerhouse security team couple, also Jordan’s bosses) <3
This is the 3rd book of the For Her Series by Alexa Riley and it was awesome 🙂 These two, Jordan and his Jay Rose, had intense chemistry apart but when they were together, it was dynamite 😉
Jay is very independent, stubborn, loyal and a complete workaholic! She works for the Osbourne Corporation and is valuable to Miles as his personal assistant... meaning the enemies surrounding Miles, circulate her as well.
When she first meets Jordan, she feels something she's never felt for a man before but being socially awkward (like Jordan) and let's be honest, kind of dense when being thrown signals (by Jordan) so in a way, it makes a difficult to get these two off the friend zone they've put themselves in the first place, lol, but after a little while, they get to their sexy times 😉
Jordan was such a contradiction to me, he was an alpha all the way yet sweet, possessive as hell resembling a caveman in occasions, yet a tender teddy bear when Jay needed it that way 🙂 he was also a nerdy guy who knew his stuff yet a bad-ass alpha when his woman needed him... He also works in the Osbourne Corporation, as part of the security team.
These two lived in opposite ways, both different and at the same time similar, they couldn't be whole without the other... definitely believe in the saying that opposites can attract each other 😉
There are funny moments in this story as well as suspenseful moments and I enjoyed seeing Jordan and Jay connect in every way possible 😉 of course, once they passed "the dreaded zone of being only friends."
You can tell these two were meant to be together just like our favorite couples', Miles and his Mallory <3 & Ryan and his Paige <3
I loved the epilogues <3 and I can't wait to read more stories from Alexa Riley 🙂 <3
Five claimed stars! This book will spoil your inner princess. You will feel cherished like the heroine of this book.
Holy cow! Alexa Riley always delivers strong and deep romances where men do cherish and worship their women. Claimed is a beautiful book wrapped in a gorgeous cover. It is magisterially written. I was hooked from the first pages. I literally devoured it in one sitting. My inner princess felt cherished and spoiled. I do really love books where the male character is a lot on the possessive side and totally in love with their women. And Claimed fulfilled exceptionally my craving for that kind of books.
Everything about this book is perfect. It was an amazing and explosive experience because it warmed my heart and it had me at the edge of my sit at the same time. Inside the pages of this book is not only a sweet romance, it is also a perfect way to spoil your inner romantic. Suspense plus romance is a pretty dangerous mix that will leave you breathless and speechless.
Alexa Riley never disappoints her readers. She gifts us one of the best Friends-to-Lovers-Romance of the year. It’s is super sweet to watch how the main characters interact around each other. Jay and Jordan are a perfect for eachother. Jordan is the clear example that you can exit the friend zone. He is so yummy and sweet. His protective side is something every woman wish in her man. It is bad much he is already claimed by a gorgeous and beautiful woman.
Jay is a lucky lady who never thought that her best friend wanted more than her friendship. Being the PA of the boss left her with no friends at all until he met Jordan. He smoothed her world. And soon he changed her priorities.
Falling for eachother was naturally for them. The attraction was hidden by their friendship until it became stronger to resist.
Friends-to-Lovers-Romance plus Office-Romance plus a sexy as hell male character is equal to ovaries explosion. Let yourself enjoy this amazing book. Pamper your inner romantic. I highly recommend you this book. If you haven’t read Alexa’s books, Claimed is the ideal begging. Once you read a book written by her, you will be addicted to her brilliant talented. But mark my words: if sweet romance is your thing, this book will flawlessly fill your soul and if your thing is dirty and sensual romance, this book will make you blush like a virgin reading sexy books.
I’ve been wanting to read an Alexa Riley book for a while as authors often talk about the writers as inspiring. And this steamy read left me needing to go find a fan. Well worth the time.
~ 4.5 Stars ~
Claimed is a full length delicious novel by Alexa Riley that delivers us their signature goodness of over the top insta-love, alpha male protectiveness and topped with a sprinkle of some nerd tendencies. I ate it up and was left begging for more.
Jordan knew Jay was the woman for him from the moment that he laid eyes on her. Doing everything he can to be near her, he’s able to spend a lot of time with her but feels he is in the friend zone and that’s just not happening any more. It’s time for him to make his claim on the woman that stole his heart.
Jay may be small but she is fierce. She can seem like a bulldog when it comes to getting what she wants but with it comes to Jordan, she’s a bit shy and has no idea how to tell Jordan how she feels. Luckily for her, Jordan has had enough of just being friends and he’s starting to make it known what he wants.
Jordan and Jay are just absolutely adorable together. I couldn’t get enough of them. Jordan is a tech guy and he has zero shame in using his knowledge to keep an eye on his girl. While some might find that a bit weird or creepy, Jay finds it endearing and cute.
Claimed not only gives us that insta-love we are used to be there is an element of drama in Jordan and Jay’s story. When Jay gets into trouble, Jordan goes into alpha badass and let’s be real, it’s freaking hot.
If you are looking for classic AR full of sweetness, sexiness, insta-love and added drama, then Claimed is the book for you. It’s has moved up to one of my all time favorite AR books!
Alexa Riley’s For Her series is the series that introduced me to Alexa Riley’s work. This duo writing team bring their A+ game with this series!
I for sure thought that the series would be done after His Alone (For Her #2). I was shocked when Claimed (For Her #3) came available to read and review. I one clicked that sucker without hesitation. I am so glad that I did!!
Alexa Riley are known for instalove books. Although that is not really what I gravitate to, I have mad love for this series!! Claimed is a friends-to-lovers book. Jordan & Jay are H-O-T together!!
In Claimed, we get more of the employees at Osbourne Corp. Jay Rose is the administrative assistant to Miles Osbourne, who was the hero in Everything for You (For Her #1). I was so excited to see Miles & Mallory again!! Oh, and if you haven’t read Everything for You (For Her #1), you need to read Miles & Mallory’s story! So, so good!
Jay seems to be the one person behind the CEO at Osbourne Corp. She does everything! She never seems to take time for herself. So, when it comes to her lunch hour, she enjoys her time with Jordan Chen. She is attracted to him, but does not want to ruin their time together by telling him. Little does she know that Jordan feels the same way.
“I’ll take him as a friend if that’s all I can have. I try to be honest with myself. The hot guy who can probably snap a woman in half with his muscles isn’t going to go for the plain nerdy girl who should definitely lay off the bagels.”
~ Alexa Riley, Claimed (For Her #3)
Jordan works on the security team at Osbourne Corp. He is a wizard with the computer!! It’s almost freaky. But I enjoyed his antics with Jay. The way that he would watch her made me swoon a little bit each time. I digress… Jordan is infatuated with Jay but is afraid to tell her as well. He has a dream of having a relationship with Jay other than friendship.
“I love Mondays so much. Another chance to see her, another chance to be near her. It’s the day I look forward to the most.”
~ Alexa Riley, Claimed (For Her #3)
Eventually Jordan and Jay give into their instalove and get together. As if you didn’t guess that already…
One thing that I love in romance books is the adventure/ action part of the book. In this book, Jay is faced with a situation where Jordan has to save her.
“Everything I do is for her. Her needs will always come before mine.”
~ Alexa Riley, Claimed (For Her #3)
And Jordan shows that throughout the entire book! *sighs*
I will be honest with you; Alexa Riley writes a spin off series call For You. It mainly features the kids from the For Her series. I am not a fan! But anything in the For Her series is a total win for me! Jordan & Jay’s story was a great addition to the For Her series. I so hope that there are more coming in this series. Please, please Alexa Riley! I can’t get enough!!

Stunned from the moment he saw her, Jay captivated Jordan and he was determined that she be his forever. Jay was equally smitten but her cluelessness stuck him in the friend zone for years before one moment changed everything for them. Their journey was sweet, cute, awkward, and far more dramatic than expected, but their passion and rightness together was spot on. They were meant for one another and no shady business deals or kidnappings were going to keep them apart.
Jay was flighty and yet completely focused and driven to do her job well. She was competent and no-nonsense when it came to her duties and I admired her dedication. At the same time she was a chatterbox and sneaky passionate. While she didn’t have any experience in that department she wasn’t shy about her own sensuality. Her juvenile (youthful, not immature) excitement about playing it up for Jordan was sweet and cute. When worse came to worst for her and her sister she kept her wits about her and used her head to think through their problem rather than cowering, crying, and becoming more a liability than an asset. There’s nothing wrong with crying or being afraid, not at all. Stressful situations even more mild than what she was experiencing can trigger different reactions in different people and it’s all natural and fine, I just admire Jay’s response. She definitely felt fear but her concern for her sister, her determination to stay alive, and her commitment to being found by Jordan was fierce and spoke to her inner strength. She came out of the situation stronger than when she went in and that strength will only serve her well from here on out, especially to be the best partner for Jordan in all aspects of life.
Jordan was unexpected. I loved his heart, his willingness to accept fate’s hand in his choice of life-mate. His tenderness and affection for his father and deceased mother, the way he cared for Jay before ever voicing his attraction, his virgin status, all of these things combined to make him more than just a scarred yet handsome security guard, it made him human and infinitely likable. I was surprised that he would have chosen to wait for the right woman before becoming sexually active. His reaction to Jay’s dangerous situation was expected but I respected his choice to do what needed to be done rather than what his reactions dictated he should do. The way things were resolved showed that his turmoil could be tempered with reason. He was a good man through and through and virtually every scene showed his dedication to staying one.
Together Jordan and Jay were playful, loyal, quirky, and devoted. While their intimacies were a bit advanced for two virgins I will suspend my belief about that in favor of just being happily surprised that neither of them are formula virgins or the sex-pots we generally get in stories like these. Their interactions were more sweet than sexy most of the time, which I appreciated. The description of their first lunch together was adorable and completely endearing. When all the drama came down it was surprising in its intensity. I wasn’t expecting all the violence and gore that we were privy to. It was pretty tasteful, if stuff like that can be considered tasteful, I just wasn’t expecting it to that extent. The resolution was surprisingly realistic with Jordan’s struggles to accept life as it was after their dramatic ordeal. I appreciated that his father made him see how important it was that he shouldn’t smother Jay because he was afraid for her. His realization of his own fears allowed him to be honest and to heal from everything that happened to the person he loved most.
So as a bit of an aside that I feel should be noted, there were many mentions of Jordan’s spying and how Jay was okay with it all while acknowledging many times that she should be creeped out. Yeah, I’m leaning more toward the creepy vibe rather than the happy-to-be-protected vibe. There should have been a discussion about it and boundaries. Yes, he wasn’t doing anything maliciously, nothing was perverted, and nothing was too invasive, BUT the tendencies themselves shouldn’t be lauded or praised. It’s a violation that shouldn’t be okay even if it was super tame and described romantically in this story.
And when all is said and done, the story ended well and on a very positive note thus making up for all the crazy they had to endure. The characters were likable and a great pairing. Side characters were support but stood out in their own way and drew interest into their own stories.
I absolutely love this dynamic writing duo! Whenever I need a fun, hot, smexy, over the top possessive alpha, I need to only look for an Alexa Riley book and I am in heaven!
This story of Jordan and Jay is classic Alexa Riley!
Jay is the feisty, take no prisoners assistant to Miles Osborne. (From their book Everything for Her, which I loved!) She is the epitome of a perfect heroine!
Jordan, oh my Jordan! He is a computer guru at Osborne Corp. and the first time he sees Jay, he is “Claimed”.
I loved the alternate POV’s! The special relationship surprise was fantastic! (I’m not gonna spoil it!) I enjoyed catching up with past characters from the previous books. The relationship with Jordan and his father was amazing. The angst and suspense in the book was spot on and just made me want to read faster! I really enjoy Alexa Riley’s stories, they are like a fresh French cruller (my favorite doughnut). I am hoping they write more books in this series, there are a few more characters I would love to know more about!
If you love over the top, insta-love with possessive, obsessive, growly alpha heros, get this book you will enjoy just as much as I did!
4.5 Stars
I need to start by saying that Jordan and Jay may be one of the most adorable couples Alexa Riley has ever created. I enjoyed them tremendously. As one knows if they have read an Alexa Riley story, this writing duo excels at sexy alpha heroes, instant love and happy endings. We get all of that here and then some.
Jordan is a member of the Osbourne security team and he has only had eyes for Jay since he met her. Jay is Oz’s assistant and assistant and she has placed Jordan firmly in the friends zone, or so he believes. Surely with the correct persuasion he can convince her they are meant to be.
I enjoyed how Jordan and Jay start as friends before (pretty rapidly, it is an Alexa Riley story!) moving on to lovers. There is some drama and suspense here thanks to Jay dealing with some threats. That just added a nice additional layer to the storyline and their relationship. I loved how Jay had a confidence because of her job, but was so kind and sweet. Jordan was so romantic and willing to do anything for Jay and her happiness. These two were incredibly adorable.
It was really great to get back into the world of the Osbourne Corp….Miles, Mallory, Paige and Captain. I loved getting a glimpse of them again. They were a great cast of characters and Jordan and Jay (I continually mixed them up) were a great addition.
HERO~ Jordan – sweet, protective and alpha. He knew the moment that he saw Jay that she was his future. Knowing he couldn’t fail, he incorporated himself into her life, quickly landing himself in the friends zone- or so he thought
HEROINE~ Jay was a great heroine. She was Miles’ assistant and was known as a bulldog. Not many liked her because she was the gateway to the boss. To my relief, she was nothing like that. She was kind and quiet. She had a crush on Jordan but didn’t know how to proceed. She stepped up and was strong when it was needed, but she wasn’t alpha in any way. I thought she had a great balance.
SEXUAL HISTORY~ both were virgins
OM/OW DRAMA ~ Zero
STEAM plenty of steam
VIOLENCE some violence There is a incident where Jay is assaulted by a man. He grabs her breast and forces her to sit on his lap.
SECONDARY CHARACTERS Great secondary characters that I’m hoping may get their own story. Summer, Jay’s sister and McCoy who is Jordan’s coworker.
ENDING~ Good epilogue 2 months and then 5 years later
Claimed: A For Her Novel Alexa Riley is book Three in the “For Her” series. This is the story of Jordan Chen and Jay Rose. I have read the previous books (and loved them~!) but feel this can be a standalone book.
I just love Ms. Riley’s book and always so excited when she does a full length book so I had to have this one for sure!~
Jordan is a smart guy who I would say seems to stay in the back ground but when he sees Jay it sets something off in him. Jordan still has a hard time putting words in to full length around her but he does start to come out. Jordan turns into the much loved stalker/alpha male character. Jay is the usually confident hardworking girl working to put Jordan in the friends zone until he would be placed there anymore.
Loved their story!!
4.5 STARS!!!
Claimed was such a great romance read. It was absolutely enjoyable! Jordan and Jay were perfect for each other. The chemistry between the two was off the charts and there was no denying the attraction. Jordan was sexy, charming, thoughtful, protective and so, so sweet and caring. He was such a great son and I loved him even more for it, on top of being a great man.
“You’re not the kind of woman that gets one night. You’re worth a lifetime.” (Swoon moment)
Jay was a sweet, thoughtful and a strong character. Although, she had her moments of clumsiness which was funny at times, she wasn’t perfect and that was okay. Her sister was definitely a handful. This story had the perfect amount of romance and suspense. This book made me smile, laugh, swoon and had me on the edge of my seat, and I enjoyed every moment of it. I definitely recommend this book to romance lovers that enjoy a good bit of suspense within their story and I look forward to reading more books from this author in the future.
Alexa Riley is the go to writing duo when you’re looking for something short, sassy, angst free and with scorching heat. Claimed fits the bill perfectly. Longer than their quickies, this one has a bit of drama and mystery as well as suspense included. There is still plenty of insta-everything but this time there’s a friendship that developed before either of these characters showed their feelings.
Jay is smart and independent. She works hard and doesn’t back down when confronted by a problem or someone out to harm her. Jordan is a computer whiz and he stalks her via the security feeds at their place of work. He doesn’t try to hide the fact and Jay kind of likes that he does so.
Together this couple were so sweet and charming. Their chemistry was steaming and their possessiveness in regards to each other was equal. While the mystery might not have been all that mysterious, it added depth to what was a very enjoyable read.
I read AR to get out of my head, refresh my reader’s palate and satisfy my need for a sweet h, an alpha H, lots of heat, an HEA, and babies. Mission accomplished.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book provided by NetGalley and Carina Press. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Claimed is one of those books that you pick up and just get lost in. I was lost in a world of hot, sweet, over protective alpha the second I started reading and I never wanted to come out. Masters of the most swoon worthy men, Alexa Riley always delivers a book that will melt my heart and keep me smiling. Claimed was no exception to that rule. I was having an awful day when I started reading this and now I can’t even remember why my day was bad.
Jordan is a dream man. Sweet, protective, deliciously sexy. I couldn’t help myself from melting every time he spoke. The way he loves Jay is just so perfect. They made for the most adorable couple ever! When I wasn’t busy swooning over these two I was on the edge of my seat with what was happening at their office. It made for an addictive read that I couldn’t put down.
These two….freaking hearts and rainbows. They were just so sweet and Jordan….dibs. He’s been “claimed”, pun intended. I read him first and I am stingy. He’s a swoony alpha, smart, a badass, thoughtful and cooks….yeah, he’s all that….and mine.
This book had a little action and suspense, which I loved. We get to see our original favorites and some new ones aka Jordan’s dad…so sweet. We get a safe read, 2 virgins, baby batter, babies, epilogues (plural), and an hea. This was my favorite book in the series…I know, I know, even over The Captain’s. Great book.
