You’re going to be a daddy. Those were the last words I ever expected to hear. As one of the fabled Hamilton twins, I enjoy my life just as it is. Why wouldn’t I? Check out my stats. Co-owner of Hamilton Realty, a multimillion dollar business. Doting uncle to my niece, Laurie, and my soon-to-be nephew. All-around sexy, single guy who doesn’t do strings—ever. Then I went to Vegas with my … doesn’t do strings—ever.
Then I went to Vegas with my sister-in-law’s best friend, Sage.
Choices were made. Alcoholic beverages were consumed. Virginities were taken.
Hers, not mine.
Then Sage announced I’d knocked her up. And oh yeah, she doesn’t expect me to take an active role, because she suspects I can’t handle anything except myself.
Say what?
She’s so wrong, and I’m going to prove it to her. I’m going to claim my baby—and Sage.
Author’s note: Oliver doesn’t start out as a single father, but by the end of the book? Hoo boy.
Author’s Note part deux: Claim My Baby is a standalone rom com with a romantic HEA ending and no cliffhanger.more
Sage and Oliver’s story fun and emotional. I wish someone made me Origami animals. I loved this story and will be looking for more of this author’s work.
How do you convince your best friend to have your baby? Seth is a single father of a perfect feisty little girl who wants a sister. But Seth needs a little help with that. The only person he trusts enough to ask is his best friend. But that takes a lot of work to pull off. I loved this storyline. I loved the character chemistry. This was a great book from beginning to end. Some very funny moments some very tender moments. First one I have read by this author and I will be reading more.
Great Read
Great 2nd Book
Sage won a weekend to see Celine in Law Vegas, but she kept putting it off, who wants to go alone. Oliver is still arguing with her as usual. But something seems to be changing. Ally ask Oliver to go with Sage to watch out for her. Little did they know that weekend would change everything.
Love it. Romantic, fun and realistic.
Claim My Baby is the second in the Dirty DILFs series and it’s pretty great. This time it’s Oliver’s turn to be brought to his knees by a special woman. And that woman happens to be Sage, Ally’s (from Have My Baby ) best friend.
Oliver and Sage have a fairly contentious relationship. Ever since they met, when their brother and best friend fell for each other, they’ve bantered wittily back and forth and have met dislike with dislike. Perhaps all that dislike was masking something else, though? Something like a serious attraction that happens to switch on for the two while they’re vacationing in Vegas. Sage is there taking the vacation she won from a radio station and Ally was supposed to have gone with her, but what with her being all preggie and such now, Sage has to go by herself, which she is fine with. But Ally and Seth are worried about Sage being in Vegas by herself so they convince Oliver to tag along to watch over her. Watch over her he does…and lands himself in her bed after she begs him to rid her of her v-card and to give her the time of her life. But when what happens in Vegas does not stay in Vegas, instead ends up as two pink lines on a pregnancy test, how will Oliver react? Oliver, the man who has a history of non-commitment and has no desire for kids and marriage?
Well, in Oliver’s case, he reacts like the awesome guy he actually is. Which is something I admit to being surprised about, because, quite frankly, he wasn’t my favorite person in Have My Baby. Here in Claim My Baby, though, he’s pretty awesome, and sweet, and so sexy and he outshines everyone, even his twin, Seth, and Ally, and even Sage. He even turns out to be quite romantic (leaving Sage notes written inside origami has to be one of the sweetest, most romantic things, EVER!) and seeing him fall in love with Sage had me swooning. He’s my favorite part of Have My Baby, but I did like everything else about it too. It’s sweet, it’s sexy, and it’s downright adorable. I am so looking forward to more from this series!
Sage and Oliver have been frenemies for years now. Their digs and barbs at each other just a part of their lives. When Sage wins a trip to Vegas and her best friend talks Oliver into going along to keep an eye out for her, things heat up between them. But it’s all good because Sage is looking for someone to cash her v-card in to and Oliver is willing to take the job on.
I really enjoyed this cute story as this couple move from arguing to sexing it up and then screwing it up before making up. Both characters are likeable even in their own imperfections. Sage was stronger than originally expected and Oliver has a nerdy vibe going on that I absolutely loved.
While the pace felt a bit difficult to follow at times, the story was exactly what you’d want in between deeper, darker reads. This is laced with plenty of humor, lots of heart and enough steam to fog your ereader. My first read by these authors and I definitely need to check out more of their work.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book provided by NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Dual POV
Safe – no ow/om drama; H has been with other women after meeting h but not on page; Everyone thinks he’s a manho but he is not
No apparent triggers
This was so funny, and I mean – laugh out loud funny! These characters were so freaking cute and Sage nearly had me rolling on the floor. Her sass, quirkiness and feisty zingers just made it so entertaining. She’s definitely a character I will remember. The “frenemy” relationship she and Oliver had was pure gold. The way they pushed each other’s buttons? It was obvious there was underlying sexual tension and chemistry to nearly everyone even if they were totally oblivious. It a way, it was their foreplay.
Sage is one of those females that knows what she wants, lives her life and makes no apologies. She has her insecurities, but she hides them well behind her bold personality. Oliver, on the other hand is her complete opposite. He’s darn near anal with his life. Everything has a checklist or schedule. He’s in a suit everyday and all business, all the time. Sage’s erratic, outspoken personality just gives him whiplash and there is something about her that just rubs him the wrong way…until they get close enough for her to rub him the right way. *if you know what I’m saying*.
As you would expect, they make a “what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas” pact and to their delight they become not only friends but so much more. Without their regular lives influencing how they react to each other, they take that time to really get to know one another and the typical “opposites attract” ends up being a much stronger connection neither anticipated.
This book was perfect for a easy read that got me laughing and lightened my mood and had a wonderful HEA that was perfect for their story. Taryn Quinn is a writing duo that had never disappointed. Their teamwork makes for great romance tales with wonderful, lifelike characters.
Oliver Hamilton was a work in progress, but boy did he clean up nice. The frustratingly arrogant pseudo playboy became a family man in the making. Claim My Baby caught my attention the minute I laid eyes on the cover. I’m a sucker for a man not afraid to be sensitive and there is a purity to a bond between a father holding his offspring. It lets you see a piece of his heart. Sage and Oliver were the best kind of romance. Saucy, surprising and sensitive. Their love kind of sneaks up on you and lays claim to your soul. Sensitive can be sexy and Taryn Quinn delivered both.
ARC – I voluntarily offered to review this book with no obligations and my opinions are honest
Sage liked to get Oliver all riled up
Oliver also like to get Sage all riled up
It was like foreplay for them.
I loved the storytelling + the characters
The storytelling + the character’s build were awesome!
CLAIM MY BABY is the second instalment in Cari Quinn / Taryn Elliott’s contemporary, adult DIRTY DILFs erotic romance series. This is diner waitress Sage Evans and real estate entrepreneur Oliver Hamilton’s story line. CLAIM MY BABY can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story line is revealed where necessary. The reader was first introduced to Sage and Oliver in book one-HAVE MY BABY.
Told from dual first person perspectives (Sage and Oliver) CLAIM MY BABY follows the acrimonious relationship between real estate entrepreneur, and Seth Hamilton’s twin (Have My Baby) Oliver Hamilton, and diner waitress Sage Evans. For months Oliver and Sage’s barely veiled, palpable sexual attraction has all but gone unnoticed if not for the fact that their constant bickering and snide comments places them directly towards the path to love. When Sage wins two tickets for a weekend in Vegas, her bestie Ally Lawrence-Hamilton begs her brother-in-law Oliver to go as chaperone to protect our heroine from nefarious onlookers. What no one knows is that Oliver has secretly lusted after Sage from afar placing himself in in a precarious position as it pertains to the woman with whom he will fall in love. What ensues is the building romance and secret affair between our leading couple, and the potential fallout when Sage announces she’s pregnant, and Oliver dives head first hoping for a happily ever after.
Like her best friend Ally, Sage was a virgin when she met the man with whom she would fall in love but unlike Ally, Sage had some preconceived notions about Oliver Hamilton-a manwh*re by reputation, and completely out of her league. Olive Hamilton tried desperately to keep away from Sage Evans but our heroine was determined to loose her virginity while vacationing in Vegas. The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic and intense with a little bit of bondage and spanking on the side. The back and forth interactions between Sage and Oliver is sexy, sassy and fun.
CLAIM MY BABY is a frenemies to lovers story line; a fast paced, provocative tale about two people whose lives are about to spin out of control. The premise is entertaining and lively; the romance is sensual and erotic; the characters are dynamic and energetic.
If you have read the first book in the series Have My Baby you’ll remember Oliver and Sage, Oliver is Seth’s twin brother and Sage is Ally’s best friend and co-worker at the diner. When I heard that Oliver and Sage were going to get their HEA I was pleasantly surprised, first because I really enjoyed these two in the first book and second because they hated each other and I knew this would be a great enemy to lovers story and it so was.
Sage has won a tip to Las Vegas and she was excited to go even if she had to go alone, she had a plan a plan that involved loosing her V-card and a weekend fling was the way she planed to do it. What she didn’t plan for was Oliver sitting next to her on the plane. I absolutely loved the bickering between Sage and Oliver it’s been years of foreplay between the two and they don’t even realize it.
This book can be read as a standalone but I would encourage you to read Have My Baby that way you not only get the full story of Sage and Oliver’s bickering but you also get a great friends to lovers story with Seth and Ally. This was a great addition to the Dirty DILFs Series.
**I voluntarily reviewed and Advanced Readers Copy of this book**
Oh how I love Taryn Quinn’s Dirty DILFs series….swoony alpha men, fun and flirty women and plenty of cherry-popping sexiness abound! Claim My Baby is book 2 in the series and it can be read as a complete standalone. It does give away spoilers from Book 1, Have My Baby, so if you haven’t read that one yet, I do recommend going back to give it a read because it’s fun and sexy and a great read! However, if you want to start with book 2, you can totally jump right in as the authors do a great job of filling in the blanks as to who the characters are and what their backgrounds are.
Claim My Baby centers on the virginal Sage Evans and her nemesis Oliver Hamilton, her best friend’s brother-in-law. These two and their verbal sparring is solid gold! Quinn writes their back and forth banter brilliantly and it will have readers laughing out loud and snickering constantly. When Oliver takes Sage’s virginity in Vegas, all bets are off and these two go at it HARD! Holy steamy scenes Batman!! Seriously, Quinn can write deliciously sexy smuttiness with the best of them and I loved every second of it! But there’s so much more to this story than just cherry popping, S-E-X and surprise pregnancies! There’s a beautiful love story at heart—one in which the hero falls and falls hard! Yup, Mr. “I don’t do relationships” topples like a tree in a forest only it takes him a while to truly see it! He’s so suave and debonair on the surface but underneath, there’s an awkward, uncertain side that peeks out every now and then as he bumbles his way through romantic gestures. It makes him more human and I loved this gawky, unexpected side of him. As Sage falls for Oliver, she becomes more and more confident in both her inner strength and in her independence. She is able to stand on her own and doesn’t back down from the challenges she is facing.
Claim My Baby is a seductively fun and humorous read that will leave you feeling a bit flushed while sporting a huge smile. Taryn Quinn hit it perfectly with this story and I can’t wait to read Who’s The Daddy, Dirty DILFs Book 3 when it is released in May 2018! This dynamic writing duo has me hooked!
Entertaining. Audible sexy
I loved the back and forth between Sage and Oliver. Sage was never afraid to go toe to toe with any of the Hamilton men at any time. The steamy scenes were steamy, the swoony scenes were swoony and this couple got their HEA. Loving this series so far!
A must read series!! I have read the series a few times and won’t stop anytime soon!!
An enjoyable, witty, and entertaining romance. Oliver and Sage’s road was a little bumpy but the journey was sweet and heartfelt. I liked this story.
I could not wait to read Oliver and Sage’s story after they appeared in Have My Baby and seeing the bantering between these two. I loved how much fun they had together and their sex scenes were so hot. I really enjoyed seeing Seth, Ally and Laurie again in this book and I loved the interaction between all the characters. Another fabulous read by Taryn Quinn and I cannot wait for more books in the Crescent Cove series.
Realistic and brilliant story
Sometimes it takes losing someone to see what they really mean to you. Oliver learnt that lesson when Sage left to to take time out from him. Her absence gave him the time to think about what really matters and what he truly wants. Well worth reading.
A sexy entertaining story. Great ending.
