Claim Me Now (Heron Harbor Book 2) by Lea Nolan is a contemporary romance story. This is my first book by Lea and I was pleasantly surprised. There is lots of feels in this book with fun in the sun, witty conversations and lots of charm and chemistry and romance. The characters are interesting one strong and sassy the other standoffish but with a heart of gold. Both looking to escape their own world and secrets and lies soon find themselves thrown together in a strange twist of fate.
CLAIM ME NOW (Heron Harbor Book 2) by Lea Nolan
5 of 5 Stars
Having read, ‘Want Me Always’ book one in Nolan’s ‘Heron Harbor’ series I was looking forward to being back in Heron Harbor and was not disappointed. This novel can be read happily as a standalone story but the setting and some of the characters do crossover books. In this engaging and enjoyable story, Raven Donovan is married to her job as Vice President of her company and is not looking for a relationship. Raven is then utterly blindsided and distraught when a corporate takeover leaves her suddenly unemployed. She goes to stay at her family’s beach house on Heron Harbor Island just to get away from it all and she intends to be alone with a bottle of tequila until a very tall, dark and handsome stranger arrives. Jack Baines is the heir to one of the largest private equity firms on the East Coast and has his latest conquest under his belt. However, instead of feeling great he is finding that having to fire people is taking a toll on him and this feeling outweighs the thrill of the hunt he used to enjoy. Jack heads off to the beach for some alone time only to find a half naked, beautiful women in his rental. Thanks to a raging storm Raven and Jack decide to share the house. Following a steamy night which leads to an even steamier weekend the pair discover how mush they actually have in common. That is until the revelation that it is Jack who has just taken over Raven’s company threatens to come between them before their relationship has a chance to develop.
This is a wonderfully written heartwarming romance which takes the reader on an emotional rollercoaster along with the two main characters. Both Raven and Jack are realistic and relatable characters which helped me feel engaged in the story. The storyline flows well and the descriptive narrative really brings both the setting of Heron Harbor and the characters to life. The plot has plenty of drama and romance in it to keep the reader happily turning the pages and I found I was hooked from start to finish. I definitely recommend this contemporary romance and I look forward to future books set in Heron Harbor.

They are suppsed to make a note if someone will be there, but Lark forgot so Raven thought she would be alone. There’s no place for Jack to go, so Raven says he can stay. They start having sex, and spending their time together. Her former assistant is kept on and finds out the Jack is the one who bought the company and fired over half the workers, and Raven. They talk, and talk, he quits his job, and they say ver special words to each other.
Up next is Lark and Police Chief Hunter.
I received a copy in exchange for an honest review.
This book was a bit more than I expected and it held on to me the entire time! Very well written, it read pretty fast, the characters and the backdrop was very well done. I have never been to a town that was described in this story and it makes me long to visit and become a part of something bigger than what and where I am now. I like the premise of this story, it is one that isn’t very over done as far as the topic (that I have personally read), and I was intrigued to see where the author had to take to make the best conflict scenes play out, I loved it.
Jack just needs to recharge and then he’s off again to do the job he loves , friend has let him borrow the family home in harbour for the weekend.
He never expected company at this place. This is the second book in the Heron Harbour series and we are back to see if the harbour can work its magic once again.
You don’t need to read the first book, they all stand happily on their own, but there is a link to the first book. These
The sparks these two have for each other soon burst into a fiery and passionate weekend.
But with Jack and Raven being so totally different, how can this last for longer than a weekend?
And when Raven finds out who Jack really is. Raven is a very sassy independent lady .
This is my first book by this author which I enjoyed and I look forward to reading more from her in the future. This is a well written story that has characters that bring the story to life. The characters are engaging and connectable. They made the story easy to read and kept the story moving. I enjoyed being pulled in right from the beginning. This is a story of what happens when a tall, dark, handsome male walks through your door. Raven is vice president and loves her job until out of nowhere she finds herself without her job. Jack has everything he wants but firing people is not something he enjoys. What these two have in common is that the both end up at the beach. Raven never expected the storm that was brewing and certaining never expected Jack to walk through her family’s beach house door. What will fate have in store for them? I enjoyed their chemistry and watching their relationship grow from beginning to end. They are great characters that I enjoyed. I highly recommend reading their story.
Nolan hits this one right out of the park. I was captivated right out of the gate and couldn’t put it down before finishing the last page. The chemistry jumped off the page and lit up the room. Every emotion felt extremely tangible and sincere. I don’t have adequate words to express how much I enjoyed this book without possibly spoiling the story for others. This is one you need to read for yourself.
CLAIM ME NOW (Heron Harbor Book 2) by Lea Nolan was a great romantic read! I loved the premise and Raven and Jack did not disappoint. I found Raven super relatable, she was smart and sassy. The pacing was perfect and I loved all the details. I loved Heron Harbor and cannot wait to read more.
The main character, Raven Donovan, is relatable for those who have lost in love or those who have not made time for romance. Like Raven, many people settle for being married to someone who should fulfill their desires and light their passion. This idling in life is shaken by a stressor that makes people change their lives. Raven finds herself in the same situation when the successful professional life she has created is reduced to being an unemployed statistic. Without the distractions of work, she becomes aware of a longing that is sparked when she meets a man while staying at her beach house. When Jack Baines enters her life and brings unexpected and unplanned romantic complications in their lives. With his professional success and handsome exterior, Jack seems to offer Raven the return to her previous life. However, complications exist for them both and the holiday at the beach house will force difficult choices for both of them.
“Oh yeah, Raven and Wren had talked about the kiss. And judging by the pink flush rising on Raven’s chest, she’d told Wren she’d enjoyed it.”
Jack needed a solitary weekend. He completed a major deal and this is his time to unwind. When he shows up at a friend’s beach house – he wasn’t expecting to find another guest. It appears that his friend’s sister planned on a weekend to herself at the beach house, as well. And that kiss – that kiss was a much better start than he expected.
Raven didn’t expect a roommate for the weekend. Jack isn’t expected, but he more she gets to know him, she finds spending time with him is not a hardship. Not only is attractive, she sees he has a big heart. Helping out her beach community after a storm.
Jack is loving his weekend with Raven. They definitely cross the line between strangers to … not strangers. But Jack’s job doesn’t display his best side. Little does Raven know what Jack’s job has to do with her NOT having a job any longer.
I loved the characters in this book! Jack and Raven have an amazing chemistry and I love the beach town of Heron Harbor. Now I’m going to go back and read the first book in this series since this one was so good!
This is my first book by Lea Nolan. I really enjoyed this story. Jack and Raven were perfect for each other. I loved the setting of the beach town and all the characters living there. This story had all the feels. A cute, ugly dog and chemistry between Jack and Raven was hot. I had some good laughs and I also had a good cry. That’s a winner in my eyes. Now I’m going to check some more of this authors books
Raven only wants to lick her wounds and hide from the world after being sacked!! She poured her heart and soul into the company and the item they had created. She tries to warn the company, but as the young members of the board wanted to get rich quick, it fell on deaf ears. So she gone home to rest and work out her options…..
Jack just needs to recharge and then he’s off again to do the job he loves (or does he?) his friend has let him borrow the family home in harbour for the weekend.
He never expected company…..
Second book in the Heron Harbour series and we are back to see if the harbour can work its magic once again…..
You don’t need to read the first book, they all stand happily on their own, but there is a familial link to the books.
The sparks these two have for each other soon burst into a fiery and passionate weekend.
But with Jack and Raven being so totally different, how can this last for longer than a weekend?
And when Raven finds out who Jack really
is, can she let go of resentment and anger?
I liked the characters, Raven being sassy and independent, she’s also got a good head on those shoulders, she’s not some innocent needing rescuing from the big bad man! She fights her own battles, and it made a refreshing change.
Jack plays his cards closer to his chest, and I found him a little standoffish at times, and not very flexible, he didn’t always get the point Raven was trying to make.
I love Heron Harbour, it was beautifully described so I could easily see me walking along the beach.
We get enough background on both the MC to understand a little of why they are the way they are.
I did want to bang their heads together a few times, especially towards the ending…..
So, if you want a naughty weekend with the promise of forever, then grab Heron Harbour and enjoy.
And I think I’m going to go grab the first book and possibly pre-order the third.
I received a free copy of this book and volunteered to review it.
I think this is my first book by Lea Nolan but won’t be my last. Claim Me Now was a good solid read with a lot of sexy heat. I enjoyed it.
