Raven Donovan isn’t looking for a relationship. She’s married to her job and vice president of her company. So she’s blindsided when a corporate takeover leaves her unceremoniously unemployed. Reeling, she retreats to her family’s beach house on Heron Harbor Island and drowns her sorrows in a bottle of tequila. And then a tall, dark, and gorgeous stranger walks through the door…
Jack Baines … Baines has it all—money, a good job, and he’s the heir to one of the largest mergers and acquisitions firms on the East Coast. With his latest conquest under his belt, he should be flying high. But as much as he enjoys the thrill of the hunt, firing people takes a toll on him. So he heads to the beach for some alone time, never expecting to find a half-naked, black-haired beauty in his rental.
With a storm raging outside, Raven and Jack end up sharing more than just the house. A scorching night turns into a red-hot weekend that reveals how much they have in common—including Raven’s ex-company. That revelation threatens everything they’ve found unless they fight to build something new…together.

“Claim Me Now” by Lea Nolan is an amazing book and I am definitely looking forward to reading more of her books. I loved the meet-cute at the beach house and it set the stage for a romantic and page-turning story!
Hardworking Raven escaped to her family’s beach house after losing her job and quickly made friends with a bottle of tequila. While she was sleeping, her mind wandered to her perfect man and by some miracle, he appeared in her living room. Jack was a man’s man: tall, dark and handsome with the body of Adonis and a sexy grin to complete the perfect package. He was looking forward to a relaxing weekend at the beach and never expected to find Sleeping Beauty on the couch.
Raven and Jack are both workaholics who have no time for romance. Despite this, Jack found himself drawn to Raven and to the quaint seaside town. He was amazed at how quickly he felt at home and how easily the townsfolk accepted him. Raven was attracted to Jack in an intense and powerful way, but she didn’t have time to develop feelings for the handsome stranger she was sharing her beach house with. What could possibly happen between them in just three days? The house was big enough for both of them to spread out and stay out of each other’s way.
But the weather had other plans. A dark and stormy night brought our strangers together and as the wind blew and the rain pelted against the windows, their desire for each other could no longer be ignored. Fate may have brought Raven and Jack together, but their secrets could tear them apart. Can the magic of the beach house keep them together as they find their way back to reality?
This is the second book in this series but can be read as a stand-alone. Raven and Jack both end up in the same beach house trying to forget about life and it stresses. Neither one is what the other expected and as they turn what was supposed to be a bit of fun into something potential both Raven and Jack found out that they have A LOT more in common than they originally thought. Well written characters, book, and plot I’m a new Lea Nolan fan!!!
Claim Me Now
Heron Harbor Book 2
By
Lea Nolan
This is a romantic, sometimes funny story about two people not looking for love, and finding each other. It has a Meet cute beginning with a romantic story line. A good romance for anyone to read. It has a small beach town feel, we all wish we lived in.
I highly recommend this book!!
Claim Me Now by Lea Nolan is the second book in the Heron Harbor series, and it was a great read! This book felt like a quick read, not only because the chapters were pretty short but also because it was just that good. I didn’t want to put this book down! This is the first novel I’ve read from this series, I wasn’t confused so this could definitely be a standalone novel! The characters were great and well written, with amazing character development throughout the book. I loved the diverse characters and all their traits. It felt like being home with my family when I read it. It was also pretty steamy, so that could be a plus if you enjoy that short of thing, and I do. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series!
5/5 Stars
Claim Me Now (Heron Harbor #2) by Lea Nolan
This is the first book I’ve read by the author and it can be read as a stand alone. Nolan captures your attention with the way she writes. I was falling in love with the characters before I really knew them.
Raven doesn’t do relationships and she sure as hell doesn’t fall in love. Fired from her job she goes to her family’s beach house. Thinking a long weekend will help, but when a stranger enters the picture things change. The quote I chose for Raven is: “You bought Paulson Diagnostics?”
Jack drives in a storm to a beach house he rented from a friend. When he arrives he’s in for a shocker and it’s the good kind of shocker. He gets a call from a co-worker saying they have a spy in the company and then finds a bigger problem. The quote I chose for Jack is: “When you walked back in the diner, your hair was a little wind-blown, your cheeks flushed from the cold. You looked beautiful. And a little wild. Kind of like you’d been sexed up. A man would’ve had to have been all-the-way blind to have missed you.”
Highly recommended for Contemporary Romance lovers.
Claim Me Now by Lea Nolan was a great 5 star read.
I was pulled in right from the beginning and had a late night of reading because I didn’t want to put it down.
Raven gets some shocking news from her bosses children which includes that she is now unemployed. She is devastated due to the recent project she was working on and worried about her co-workers and their jobs. To get away she goes to her beach house for the weekend. What she didn’t expect was Jack Baines waking her up, and let’s say that was an interesting moment that had me LOL.
Jack was looking for a downtime weekend to regroup after taking over another company. He hasn’t been happy with how his stepfather has been running things and has plans for when he takes over. He didn’t expect to find Raven at the home he had rented for the weekend.
They both decided to try and share the house for the weekend. The attraction between them was too much and they have a very steamy evening that turns into a weekend thing. When a storm hit’s things take a dangerous twist and we get an even bigger glimpse into the hunky man. There is so much more to this read than two people falling in love, there are some things from the past that come up and we get another HUGE twist that throws Raven for a loop. Will these two let their walls down and get a HEA? Overall I really enjoyed this read, both characters were great and all of the secondary characters added a great element as well. If you are looking for a great read with more than romance this is the series and book for you. I look forward to reading more from the series. 1-click and get started today.
So this wasn’t for me. Not to say that it wasn’t well written, it really was, with some wonderful characters, and moments that genuinely made me chuckle to myself. I just don’t really like these types of books, I’m not really sure why but there you go, tis a thing.
This story is the second book in a series, though honestly, it can easily stand alone as a nice little beachside romance, full of the funny misadventures you’d find in most romcoms. Raven has recently been unceremoniously fired, and she takes it about as well as you’d expect, retreating to a beach house that her sister owns, to lick her wounds and apparently solve all her problems by watching porn. I’ve got to say, I’m not the type of person that gets massively horny when facing life-changing events such as daftly losing your job, but I suppose different strokes for different folks.
Jack Baines, dude who just brought her company and sort of the reason why Raven is face first in terrible porn and half-dressed on her sister’s beach house sofa, decides that he would like to take a nice de-stressing holiday, and runs smack bang into Raven, who believes that she is in the middle of a very vivid sex dream and throws herself at him. What a way to start ay? Anywho, the pair go through all sorts together, learning to see the good in each other and trust someone other than themselves, as they work together in the before and after of a storm. I quite liked that idea, it might not have been imagery, but it felt a little like it. Relationships don’t just develop in the fluffy stuff, life flings shit your way, lashing you with hurricane levels of crap, and relationships either stand or fall by this, having Raven and Jack work together both before and after the storm sort of felt poetic.
There’s plenty of steaminess between the pages and I do sort of have to hand it to Nolan for actually writing an interesting female lead, who seemed to be in control of her own sexuality, not ashamed of that libido, or her needs. She also wasn’t beholden to the male lead, hanging off his biceps and dribbling on his pectorals, although there were times when she got slightly close, describing him as Mr Perfect. Now, I am in love with my husband, thinks he is the dog’s bollocks, but I know that while an awesome Beardy he may be, he is not perfect, no man is. I suppose I should send a little Kudos Nolan’s way in the fact that when he was ‘Mr Perfect’ there was just the sexual chemistry that ‘sparks’ between most leads of a romance novel when they first meet, but when Raven begins to care for Jack its when she knows him more deeply, and he more than just his jawline and gorgeous locks (though I’m sure they helped sway her decision).
Either way, while this romance is not my cup of joe, I definitely recommend it to romance lovers out there that want to sink into a well-written love story, that will have your heart a fluttering and your cheeks a reddening. Its saucy, steamy and sweet all rolled up into one, sort of like a jam roly-poly.
Claim Me Now by Lea Nolan is the second book in the Heron Harbor series. This book can be read as a stand-alone and is a great story with strong and interesting characters.
I always love a story when the characters don’t know the full extent of who the other is so I was excited to start reading this book. Jack and Raven worked so well together. They had such a strong chemistry right from the moment they met. Their journey was one that had highs and lows which only made them more interesting to read about. I couldn’t wait to see what would happen when they discovered the truth about each other.
The overall story I thought was well written. The author has a found balance between developing the story and providing a level of detail to keep your attention. This isn’t the first book that I have read by this author but it is definitely one of my favourites. I will definitely be going back to read the first book in this series and I would recommend this book to anyone.
Claim Me Now is book two in the Heron Harbor series by Lea Nolan. I went straight into this story, not having read books by this author. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but went in open minded. Oh wow, am I glad I read Claim Me Now. It was a book I got right into, no warm up needed. The characters were easy to relate to and get lost in. My whole attention was dedicated to the cast and the author was brilliant at engaging me as a reader and keeping me enthralled for hours.
I found Raven and Jack complex but totally enamouring characters. I was giddily entertained throughout the whole journey. The story flowed along with fantastic ease and was a thrilling and alluring escape. The connection between Jack and Raven was addictive and bewitching.
Passionate, powerful and impeccable. 5 stars.
I really enjoyed this romance story. I loved the twists and turns and how fate has a plan for the two lead characters no matter how much they fight it.
Raven is a strong successful business woman but when she is fired from her job she retreats to her family home hoping for a weekend of alone time and peace. That is until Jack arrives.
Jack is a friend of Raven’s sister who rented him the cottage without telling her sister. So imagine both Jack and Ravens surprise when they realise the mistake.
After not finding a solution apart from sharing the house the attraction between them grows. However Jack is hiding a secret which could destroy their relationship before it even begins.
Can they survive Jack’s secret? Can they stop the attraction between them growing? Can they build something new together or will they fall apart?
After being fired from her job, Raven escapes to a beach house to get away (and drown her sorrows in a bottle of tequila). Jack, a workaholic, also heads to the beach to seek refuge from the stress of company takeovers. As luck would have it, Jack and Raven end up in the same house. Neither is in the market for a relationship…but a couple of steamy days with a stranger is something they both agree on. Mother Nature, however, has different plans and puts them in situations neither of them expected. As they begin to open up to each other, and truths start coming to light, they find out that they have quite a bit more in common than they thought…and that’s not necessarily a good thing. Can they look beyond their jobs to make a real go at a relationship…or are they meant to be just a fling?
I enjoyed both Raven and Jack’s characters (even if I wanted to bop both of them upside the head a few times). There were some steamy scenes which I enjoyed and story line that kept me turning the pages til the end. I read the first book in this series, but this book can definitely be read as a standalone. There are some supporting characters in this story that I loved! This is a series that I will continue reading as more are published.
Claim Me Now is the second book in the Heron Harbor series by Lea Nolan. Although part of a series it can be read as a standalone. I had not read the first book in the series before reading this one and didn’t feel that I was missing any necessary information. In fact, I had not read any of this author’s work before reading this but I’m very glad that I chose to read this book as I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Claim Me Now is a contemporary romance that has great characters and the story flows very well, keeping the reader engaged throughout.
Raven Donovan has chosen to go to her family home in Heron Harbor after a particularly disastrous day at work. What she didn’t expect was the handsome man in her house. Jack Baines needs a break after a stressful week at work and his friend Lark Donovan offers him her family home for a weekend away.
Raven and Jack’s story is great. Both are unwilling to leave the house so they agree to both stay there but give each other space. But when the attraction between them gets to hard to bear will they both give into their attraction.
And will the reason that both of them had such a stressful week at work come back to haunt them as they realise that both of them are linked?
This is a really enjoyable read and I struggled to put it down. I just couldn’t wait until both their secrets came out and see how everything around them would explode when it happened. Definitely recommend!
This is my first read from this author and a brilliant introduction into this author it was! This author has a brilliant writing style that captivates you from the very beginning and brings the characters to life! These two characters had amazing chemistry that was undeniable and really made this book engaging as I really wanted to see where their connection and relationship would go, throughout the read, I couldn’t help but root for them but with them being opposites, will there be too many issues stopping it from being a HEA? I can’t wait to read more books from this author until then I highly recommend this book.
Claim me now by Lea Nolan a fantastic five-star read. This is number two in the Heron Harbour series, but it can be read as stand-alone as I haven’t read number one and didn’t feel lost, I did love the harbour though so I will be going back to check it out. This is sweet and hot and has a great story to go along with it, Raven and Jack will keep you on your toes, life doesn’t always go to plan, but who needs a plan.
CLAIM ME NOW (Heron Harbor Book 2) by Lea Nolan. This is the 2nd book in the Heron Harbor Series and I love this series. Its the story of Raven Donovan and Jack Baines. Raven is such a hard working lady so when she loses her job she is devastated. She turns to alcohol to cope and goes to her family’s beach house. Jack is also a workaholic as well and is wore out so he asks a friend to stay at his beach house. Little do they know they both picked the same weekend. They are instantly attracted to each other and end up sleeping together. Raven has never been so attracted to someone that she is Jack. As the weekend progresses secrets are kept and that might be the reason they can never make a relationship stick. Jack is a totally different person during work than he is outside of work. This is such a fun read I didn’t want it to end.

This is the first book that I have read by this author and I really enjoyed it. It was a lovely contemporary romance read with lovely characters. I loved the setting for the story it was so peaceful and serene, the authors descriptive language made me feel like I was there at times. I loved Raven and Jack, they had a nice amount of genuine chemistry, it felt like they should be together and I was rooting for them the whole way through. There were some nice twists in the story. This is the second book in the series and I read it as a standalone however I definitely would love to read the first book just so I can be in the beautiful Heron Harbor again!
A lovely read that I would highly recommend!

Claim Me Now is the second book in the Heron Harbor series by Lea Nolan. I really wasn’t sure what to expect going into the story as this is my first book from Ms. Nolan, but after reading it, I am happy to report that it definitely won’t be the last. It is a small-town romance, with secrets, mistaken identity, chemistry, sizzle, tension, drama, angst, and some wonderfully interesting and endearing characters.
I won’t go into the storyline, as I feel the blurb does a great job of giving you an idea of what to expect- and I don’t want to spoil the story for you by giving too much away.
I really loved Raven and Jack, even if I wanted to shake them at times- but I think Brilla might have stolen the show for me. She was such a cute and clever addition to the story.
The story is quite steamy- some scenes really sizzled off the pages. This is one of those stories that I totally lost myself in- in a great way- and I definitely didn’t want it to end- as there was so much more I wanted to know- but only because I was so invested in the characters and their story. I really do hope we hear more of Jack and Raven in future books.
Having said that, this could be read as a standalone- but this story has intrigued me enough to want to go back and read Book one, before then continuing the series.
So, if you love a mistaken identity contemporary romance with plenty of sizzle, wonderful characters, and a captivating storyline- then you definitely won’t want to miss this book/series.
I am definitely adding Ms. Nolan to my “must-read” authors list. Can’t wait for more!
Thank you, Lea Nolan!

I loved reading the book CLAIM ME NOW (Heron Harbor Book 2) by Lea Nolan. It is a wonderful romance story that pulled me in from the very beginning and I was hooked. I loved the characters of Raven Donovan and Jack Baines. Raven is a woman who is looking to forget her sorrows at the home that belongs to her and her sisters. She is not looking for a relationship. Then she meets Jack. Jack is a man who doesn’t want a new relationship. He has rented the house where Raven has taken refuge. What does the future hold for Raven and Jack? Read this book to find out. This story had my emotions going up and down the entire time I was reading it. It is written in such a way that I felt like I was right there with the characters. I grew to care about what happens to Jack and Raven with each chapter that I read. I also enjoyed reading about the additional characters that are introduced in the book. That author does an amazing job in making the storyline and the characters come alive. Don’t miss out on an entertaining and romantic story. I highly recommend reading it.

Raven and Jack are two driven and intense people who meet and find each other when each needed one another. Though some heartbreak these two are a fantastic read!
This is a story of redemption, love, and undeniable chemistry. There seems to be more than meets the eye. I loved the dialogue between the characters and the storyline is easy to follow. I enjoyed this quick read from start to finish
