In a world of fae, vampires and shifters, where wishes can be bought and bargained for, Elle is human, bound to her stepmother by a slave charm. Her only hope at freedom is to wish for it. But the Godmother rules the illegal wish trade, and the price she demands is steep. Is Elle willing to pay it?more
It was amazing I’m so happy Elle got the good things she deserves so far I hope she gets more!! And that her good step sister and her and the prince have a happy ending together too!! 🙂
For a quest story, it was a bit boring. Nothing was unexpected, I was never very worried. But I did enjoy the characters!
Woods, magic, a quest – what’s not to love?
Fast-paced, action-packed and full of fun twists.
A great build-up for the final battle.
I knew I’d enjoy this one, but I didn’t realize how much! I was excited to read an advance copy, which does not affect my review, and this review is voluntary. Once again, this series had me up late into the night to finish it, and I couldn’t be happier! I’m always up for a good challenge, trial, quest type story, and this one had each of those! I loved seeing the characters work to solve the problems they faced in this one, and I totally called the ‘shifter’ part when I started reading this! I’m excited to see the next and final episode in this series!
A THRILLING INSTALLMENT!!!
WOW-ZA! Rachel brought her A-game out to play as she bounced this little treasure to a whole new beat. An incredible smorgasbord of sups popping up with all the secrets and abilities that keep you on your toes as well as a razors edge. Oh, and let’s not forget our gracious Godmother (insert sarcasm). Throw in the perplexing situations that keep your full attention focused on this page turning dynamo and you have one thrilling ride. Perilous drama, a horde of uncertainty, chilling danger and electrifying suspense melds this bad boy together piece by piece. The realism and authenticity of the characters as their on point personalities blend and connect along with the graphically detailed scenes that thrust this little jewel together smooth as silk. Fantastic job Rachel, thanks for sharing this little gem with us.
good story.

Rachel Morgan’s THE STARLIGHT QUEST (City of Wishes #5) is enchanting. I cannot get enough of this retelling of the Cinderella fairytale. In this segment, Elle sets out on a quest as her payment to the Godmother for her freedom.
THE STARLIGHT QUEST was exciting from start to finish. Elle enlists the help of a few friends to join her on her quest. She discovers more about her past. She experiences a lot as her life dramatically transforms. All the while, we are still not certain of the Godmother’s ulterior motives.
Rachel Morgan’s THE STARLIGHT QUEST is creative and skillfully written. It is a thrilling addition to the City of Wishes story. I am anxiously awaiting the final book, THE EVERAFTER WISH. I highly recommend this series to people who enjoy paranormal fairytale retelling. I suggest reading the books in order, you will not want to miss a single detail in this exciting story.
Finally! Finally it seems that Elle and her friends are gaining some advantage in the game the Godmother is playing. I still can’t decide what to think of the Godmother. But she can’t be one of the good guys, right? Not way she is playing with everybody like a puppet master makes it hard to see good in her. I would love to go on a quest like Elle. I don’t know where I would find a vampire, a shifter and a fae to accompany me, but if this would be a possibility I would look hard to find me some new friends! I love this series so much, it shows that you can accomplish a lot if you’re open minded, not look down on people and are willing to help each other out. Besides that there is a lot of magic and romance and a lot of adventures. Everything I need to make a book memorable for me and that’s why I wholeheartedly recommend the City of Wishes series.
This series is absolutely amazing. Cinderella is one of my favorite fairytales. And I am loving this retold version. Its fast paced and action packed. And the Author has really done a fantastic job at the World Building and you get to know the Characters as well the way they are all brought out. This is a must read series.

Ho-lee stars….each book gets crazier and better than the last! I absolutely adore Elle, Dex is definitely charming and all these additional characters are making the series so much more incredible!
The storyline is so amazing that I’m starting to feel like I’m apart of the series and the world building is just as spectacular! Rachel Morgan is a wicked genius and this series just proves even more why I’m a fan for life!!!
Another fantastic installment to this fantasy retelling. Our fearless heroes embark on a new quest full of dangers and magic. I enjoyed the twists to the overall story and can’t wait for the final book!
Another amazing adventure with Elle and Dax. As they continue to try to outwit the Godmother and save the day Dax, Elle and friends run into all kinds of trouble. Packed with lots of action you won’t be able to put this book down and you will beg for the next one .
I received an ARC of this book and this is an honest review.
