This series has so many twists and turns and surprises around every corner! The author knows how to keep us panting for the next installment with the crazy cliffhangers. I’ve fallen in love with Elle and a few other characters and hate her stepmom. I found myself mad, laughing , and heart racing with fear throughout the story.
This is an awesome story to read. This is book number three in this awesome series that I have learned to love very much. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about Fae, vampires and shifters in their stories.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book

Oh my goodness this series keeps getting better and better with every book!!! I can’t stop reading them one after another I love it and can’t wait to to find out more lol!!!! 🙂
I love pretty dress descriptions, and this was no exception! The pacing was also very fun. Excited to start the next one immediately.
I finished this one in like 6 hours and it was the best 6 hours so far!
This one ended with a small cliffhanger and I just can’t wait for another episode! The writer is amazing! The way she writes her books is just
The magic is exquisitely woven.
The interpersonal relationships grow stronger.
The romance goes up a notch.
The mystery about Elle’s past grows more compelling.
And can she get into more trouble? Obviously, yes.
A fast-paced, fun read. Highly recommended.
ONE AMAZING ADVENTURE!!!
Chirping chickens! Biting off more than you can chew is definitely not the brightest bulb in the room. A whirlwind of emotions and events that feed from the excitement and nerve racking tension that brings this bad boy roaring to life smoothly. All the twists and turns, ups and downs, along with a few glitches and bumps here and there pull you deeper into this raging storyline and hard hitting plot. Throw in all the drama, intrigue, uncertainty and suspense and you have one intense, page turning bombshell that grabs your attention and holds it from start to finish. The characters are complex and so believable it feels like you can just reach out and touch them. The scenes are so graphically detailed it really pulls this little jewel together beautifully. You have no trouble picturing each scenario as it plays out perfectly. Remarkable job Rachel, thanks for sharing this bad boy with us.
Good different retelling of Cinderella.
Like the characters and twists in story, still a mystery why the vampires want Elle.
Short would like it better if all books where put in one.
But looking forward to the next to see wnats happens.
Voluntarily reviewed.
THE MOONLIGHT MASQUERADE is the third episode in Rachel Morgan’s City of Wishes serial. Elle Winter makes a deal with the Godmother to grant her wish of freedom. However, Elle does not want to pay the price.
This was another exiting addition to the City of Wishes story. The story continues to have unanticipated twists and interesting variations on the Cinderella fairy tale. Elle is a wonderful heroine. She discovers a number of interesting things about herself and others in this installment.
The tale has a nail-biting conclusion that left me anxiously anticipating the next episode. I recommend this series to people who enjoy paranormal fairytale retellings. Make sure to read the books in order. You do not want to skip an episode. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
*I received an advance copy from this author. This does not affect my review. This review is voluntary.*
I’m torn on this review…I love this series, and enjoyed reading this one, but I actually guessed many of the twists in this one were coming after reading Ep. 2, and the ending on this one was…a little weird, although I enjoyed the very end, and can’t wait to read more! As mentioned, these books are too short, and $3 is a lot for a half-hour read when many other books closer to normal length are the same price. I’d love to see this series combined in a boxset when finished, since readers who enjoy the series aren’t going to want to stop after every book!
I loved seeing Dex and Elle in this one, and enjoyed the mystery, though as mentioned, I expected most of the twists this time, it led to more questions, and some interesting suggestions that I’m hoping will be mentioned next time.
Identities are revealed, secrets have come to light, and a coup seeking to destroy the royal family has been initiated. And in the middle of all this stands The Godmother, The Allegiant, and Elle.
More twists, more turns, more secrets. Episode 3 is just MORE of everything and I’m hyped for episode 4, because now crap is getting real. And poor Elle is running out of time–literally. Rachel Morgan has definitely upped the game in Moonlight Masquerade and I’m completely here for it! I’m also in favor of Elle choosing her rhinestone combat boots over crystal heels. The bigger reason is disclosed in the novella. But, I mean, heels are overrated anyway.
Wait, wait, wait…. What? Is this Dex’s sexret? That’s huge! It changes everything. And the vampires? Are there good ones too? Or are they playing the prince? There is so much going on in this book. It’s definatly not how I remember the godmother in Cinderella. She’s not a nice person… Or maybe she is and she has her reasons? I don’t know what to think anymore and I desperately need to know what happens next!
Thrilling! Another magical thrill ride that kept me on the edge of my seat the whole way through. This story is unpredictable, entertaining and a whole lot of fun! I can’t wait for more.
Oh My Stars! Every book gets better than the last! “The Moonlight Masquerade” is so exciting, so thrilling, so magical….I could not put it down!!!
We pick up where we left off at in “The Vampire Trap” and the magical work of Rachel Morgan is at work once again. Weaving her magic into this incredible series, enthralling us with her enticing web of tales and leaving us breathless and wanting more!
