Another fast-paced, exciting battle for good vs evil by Detective Tommy Nolan. This one takes place in London and his mission is to recover a black, obsidian stone stolen from the museum. It was being used by evil demons and humans in an effort to destroy London and take control of the world! As they say – everybody wants to rule the world. It’s up to Tommy to stop the destruction of London and consequently save the world. With the help of Father Pearson, his favorite priest, they will do their best, which is a lot better than the ordinary pair of heroes.
Declan Finn never lets the reader down. His characters are rich in color and vision, believable and true. I strongly suggest you pick this book up for a great adventurous roller coaster ride If you like battle scenes, this is for you. If you don’t , you will.
This has such fast-paced action, it makes my head spin but I love it! I enjoy the Christian tone of prayers even though I am not Catholic. I love the characters and the story of good versus evil is amazingly accurate. Do not miss this series!

What is Tommy Nolan to do when the Vatican sends him to London? He goes, of course. The writing in this book is as good as what I have come to expect from Mr. Finn. I can just see the movie. I don’t want to be repetitive, but I have become a fan. The writing brings this world to life, including the evil. Violence and humor are standard in this series along with some philosophical discussions. I am definitely looking forward to the next part of the story.

Excellent book. There is not much that I can say that will not give away the story. But I will try. I think it is excellent, there is a lot of excitement, danger and a very good plot. I really enjoyed the book. And some of the caricature are funny some scary. There is a great mix and it all fits together well. Tommy has been called to the Vatican and sent to London by them to investigate the theft of an unusual stone from The British Museum. He has a priest with a past as his assistant and new terrors in the form of shadows to fight in order to recover the stone and prevent whatever apocalypse that the use of the stone will cause. New characters, new city and new evil to find and fight make for an exciting time in London. I could hardly wait for this book to be published. Each is better than the last, which is saying something as each book is terrific. I love each of these books and wish they would never end. I found the characters are well fleshed out and the world building is incredible. Even though the books include demons, homicidal humans and a stone that can level a city, they are easy to read and fast-paced. There is angst, battles against evil and humour in this book. I gasped and laughed out loud and couldn’t put this book down. I love this entire series.
