Darby Quinn has a bone to pick with Cinderella. Burned one too many times by ex-boyfriends, Darby has lost all belief in the happily-ever-after that the fairy-tale princess promised her. She’s sworn off love, Prince Charmings, and happy endings and she’s happy about it. Really. Or at least she was… until she met Jake, her gorgeous neighbor and the manager of her favorite restaurant. But Darby has … has rules about dating, ones she’s culled from her years spent with so-called “princes,” and starting something with Jake would break all of them.
Charming, fun, and unwilling to give up on her, Jake doesn’t fit any of the profiles Darby has created from her case studies of ex-princes-gone-bad. Finally presented with her own Prince Charming, can Darby take a chance on a happily-ever-after?
Full of wit and sarcastic humor, Cinderella Screwed Me Over proves that sometimes the perfect love, like a perfect pair of shoes, is just within your grasp.

Kept me laughing! Very enjoyable!
The title caught my attention but the story kept me hooked. This is about Darby an interior designer with alot of baggage, Cinderella case studies and a belief that love doesn’t exist. Jake is a restaurant manager/owner who literally swept her off her feet and broke down her barriers against love. And that was not an easy task. Great characters, …
An adorable, amusing look at life.
I liked this book. Different because of the way it was written. A lot of jumping around but still makes you think a lot about what happens in life from day to day. Rnjoyed
Not your typical romance. Clean with slow development — no immediate sex. I plan to read more from this author.
I am recommending this book but not urging anyone to read it. It is a good beach read and fun, but in the end, I never connected with the characters. On the other hand, it was much better than many other books I read and way above several I have started to read recently and then decided my time was better spent. This from a woman who finished …
I liked this book. It is a very simple, easy read. It is broken down into sections of the main characters relationships, that she relates and contrast to fairytales.
Very whimsical
I really enjoyed the story. I was well developed and it made me laugh. I love to laugh when I read.
Doesn’t every little girl believe in “Happily-Ever-After”? Then we grow up!!!
I really loved this book! It was an easy read that kept you rooting for Darby to find her “happily ever after”. This book really was excellent. HIGHLY recommend!
It was cute, and kept me laughing.
3 stars, fun light and romantic, it could have been a solid 4 if there wasn’t so many rehashing of the stupid rules and then the detailed story behind each one. The main character Darby was just so irritating to me, her stubborn opinions and judgemental attitude rubbed me wrong.
Found this book to be witty and relatable. Cheered for the main character all the way through.
Great beach book. easy to read and likeable characters.
Easy read…funny and times when I laughed out loud!
I really enjoyed how the main character compared her ex-boyfriends to fairy tale princes. It was a fun book to read, and the main character’s angst in regards to relationships was somewhat understandable if a little extreme.
One of the better free books I’ve read! I’m a Disney fan and I thoroughly enjoyed the Disney prince comparisons to her boyfriends. It was very entertaining and had many notable insights into dating and happily ever after. It was well written.
This book had me at the title and cover. I mean, what girl could resist reading about all of her favorite Disney fairy tales vs reality? Cindi Madsen weaves a light and fun hearted read.
Darby Quinn was a typical little girl who watched every single fairy tale ever put out by Disney. Over and over. She just knew her Prince Charming was out there …
I prefer a faster pace
Light chick lit. Good for a winters night.
