She had me at cyborg. Enjoyed the inventiveness of crossing Cinderella with sci-fi. From the first pages, I found Cinder to be a relatable and interesting character. Highly recommended.
Amazing series Cinderella and cyborgs!
Predictable. So predictable. I figured out every plot twist before it happened, so also disappointing. My friends say that it’s just the set up for the next books, so I’m going to continue with the series. I just don’t understand how so many people could love this book in particular.
I DID enjoy the characters. Especially Peony, Iko, Kai, and …
This is a story of a place called New Bejiing. There are humans and androids that live together in this world. A plague has ravaged the human population that has not been controlled or cured. There are a people that live on the moon and they are called Lunars. They are ruled by a ruthless queen who wants to take earth for her own. She tries …
Cinderella meets intergalactic conflict! This was so good! If you are that person that wants to know what magic and tech would look like side by side, this is your book!
Ever read the Cinderella story? Loved it didn’t you? Liked how a young woman that came from a house of horrible people, a life where all she did was work and work and not get anything from it but won’t complain about it goes for one night have a “ball” only to find out that everything she new was a lie. But, that didn’t matter to the man that fell …
Cinder is the first book in The Lunar Chronicles and is a retelling of Cinderella in a futuristic way. I enjoyed Cinder’s sarcasm and realization that she, a cyborg, was in love with Prince Kaito aka Kai. This series is the kind of series that I would pull off the shelf on a rainy day. It made me sigh with contentment, growl with anger, and want …
I love retellings of fairy tales and this one didn’t disappoint. As a fan of sci-fi I loved the fact that Cinderella is a cyborg and that she loses a little more than just her shoe. Super creative. Loved it and can’t wait to read the next one in the series.
I loved this book!! Winter is a very exclusive and a addictive book.( the lunar chronicles) by far my favorite book
This is the first book in an amazing series that has a different take on classic fairytales. It flows really well and is easy to get into. The author did an amazing job developing the story in a way that is intriguing and interesting.
This book was actually recommended to me by my older sister and I am so glad she did. It is one of the best books I have read.
Cinder is the first book in the series. It got me hooked into the entire series. 10/10 recommend the series and other books by Marrisa.
Contains spoilers!
I read the book yesterday. A fascinating book, though expected.
Already at the beginning of the plot, I knew details about Cinder that were later exposed.
—-Spoiler—-
Like the fact that she was the Lunar’s daughter, and that she was the princess who supposedly murdered. You do not have to overthink to understand …
Love this book! I would recommend it any day of the week.
This is one of my new favorite books/authors. She is imaginative and fun! The characters are relatable and deep. I cannot wait to read the rest of the series!!!
Absolutely love this series
a unique twist on the Cinderella story. not a huge sci-fi/futuristic plot fan (in books, movies or TV), but the characters and story itself kept me engaged despite these details. really well written and an easy read.
Original characters and a very good plot. Cinder is a cyborg, making her a member of a persecuted minority. But it turns out there’s another problem she knew nothing about. And yes, there’s a charming prince. And one bad stepsister and one good one! Most interesting. A good read.
Waiting for movie!!
My second time reading this, And I love it just as much as the first time.
Cinder is a retelling of sorts of Cinderella. In Cinder, She is a cyborg. Half human/Half Robot. She has a evil stepmom and 2 sisters. Cinder is a mechanic. Also pretty much a slave to her stepmom, as cyborgs don’t have any rights. Well I’ll stop there so anyone who hasn’t …
