Oh my gosh! Wow! This book has left me breathless and wanting for more! This is such a page turner/thriller ! Cinder is such a brave young woman and readers will be on the edges of their seats and cheering as Cinder takes down Queen Levana.
Cinder is just as the book and cover suggests, a futuristic retelling of the classic Cinderella story, but there is the brink of a great space war looming in the background. It tells the story of a cyborg teen, a mechanic, commonly referred to as Cinder. There is a mean stepmother and stepsister, but there is also a nice stepsister. There is also …
I enjoyed this series
I love Marissa Meyer’s style of writing she did an amazing thing when she mixed fairytales into a future with cyborgs and an interplanetary society! It inspired me when I was writing my own. I loved all of the Lunar Chronicle books!!!
Cinder is the first book of a four-book series. She set up her large story-arc using four satisfying sections, with each focusing on a different romance. I love that while we know the story upon which Cinder is based, and the unfolding happens as we anticipate, Meyers brings it to us in a totally unexpected way.
Cinder. First book in the popular The Lunar Chronicles series, this YA book is a futuristic story of a girl with a third of her body “repaired” with electronic implants and mechanical appendages. In the vein of Cinderella, she’s treated poorly by her step-mother and two sisters, but there’s minor deviations from the fairy tale and unexpected …
The originality of this book is unmatched. It came out of left field and I never saw it coming. This book is one of a kind with a story bringing together cyborgs, humans and aliens. The truth is out there people and it is that this book is a must read. Although we do not intend to make a habit of reviewing mainstream books, such like this, we felt …
Very interesting twist on a classic tale. The story is well written and the character development is equally impressive. You can’t help but root for the “good guys”, who are extremely lovable, and hate the evil villains who are extremely repulsive. The plot is not hard to figure out early on but it is still fun to see how they get you there and …
Absolutely fantastic – a compelling story about a teenage cyborg with a hard-knock life. Of course, there are some fawning over the prince parts that I skimmed in favor of the meatier action, but since this is a new take on the old Cinderella story, I wasn’t too fussed about it. Overall, it held my interest and kept me reading. I was a little …
THIS IS A WONDERFUL BOOK

This is a good book, keep reading and it will easily become your favorite series! It’s definitely mine!
That well written it played a movie in my head.
This book is an amazing start to a series called The Lunar Chronicles! I love this book, and read it many times before. Cinder is science-fiction version of the fairy-tale Cinderella. The main character, Cinder is a sassy, talented mechanic, and a lowly cyborg. Cinder is soon uncovering secrets of Prince Kai, Queen Levana, and herself.
It was a great book that all tweens and teens should read. I loved it!
Surprised in each book in the sires!
Enjoyable book. I like the twist on Cinderella.
There’s no good way to tell a woman what to do. Now imagine if she had mechanical upgrades and can fix hover cars ….
This was a great take on the Cinderella story. Cyborg Cinderella? Yes please! It was a very cute and quick read that’s perfect for teens and adults alike.
This series is one of the best I’ve ever read and if you like this book I urge you lo read the rest of the series “The Lunar Chronicles” and the book Heartless also by Marissa Meyer!
What an interesting story. I really loved this twist on a classic fairy tale. I am not sure why it took me so long to pick this up. I cannot wait to continue this story in book two.
