One of the best books I’ve read in a long time. It’s so easy to fall in love with all the characters.
I absolutely love this series!!! I have read it twice and I don’t think I will ever stop loving it!!! I love how Marissa Meyer based each book off of a fairy tale!!! Cinder (Cinderella), Scarlett (Red Riding Hood), Cress (Rapunzel), And Winter (Snow White).
I ADORE THIS BOOK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It’s my second time through the Lunar Chronicles, and I’m excited to re-experience it! This time I’m listening more like an author than a reader, considering each of Marissa Meyer’s choices. I think it’s ingenious that she interwove fairy tales into what was otherwise a wholly original plot in and of itself. It takes place in a futuristic, …
This book was really good . And sad. How would you like to get in a car crash and be replaced with metal parts. Have a stepmother that mean, a mean stepsister and a nice stepsister. What about people someone volunteering you for the plague.
This is honestly one of the best book series I’ve every read! Highley recommend!
Fairytales have never looked so good! A twist on old fables and the Lunar Chronicles takes once-loved stories to a new level. Give me Cinder over your stereotypical princess any day!
I am a sucker for a good retelling and Cinder does not disappoint. In a world full of Cinderella retellings it can be hard to come up with an original and exciting concept that isn’t easily predictable, but Meyer absolutely did.
From the moment I picked up Cinder to the second I put it down, I was completely enthralled in Cinder’s story, world, …
I wonder how many reviews I’ll begin with “I wanted to see what all the hype was about?”
So. I wanted to see what all the hype was about. I was not disappointed. I really do like this book. Normally, I’m more into Beauty and the Beast retellings than Cinderella retellings but oh. my. god. This one was good. Cinder is such a wonderfully complex …
Despite being based on one of the most famous romantic fairy tales of all time, Cinder by Marissa Meyer proves to be a fresh and exciting read for readers of all sorts. I would absolutely recommend this fresh new novel to the young readers, AND adult readers who are interested in any mixture of adventure, fairy tales, sci-fi, and romanticism. I …
This was a fun romp through an interesting and well-constructed futuristic world. Meyers has put a ton of effort to weave together fantastical ingredients into a realistic gritty world. Cinder takes the Cinderella role and pushes the boundaries further by first, being really good at something unexpected, and second, wanting something else than to …
What a fun version of Cinderella! Full of cool technology, good romance, and twists with royalty! I enjoyed this book!
I’m not fully done with this book, but from how far I’ve gotten its so good!!
Dude. This book was fun! Soft sci-fi Cinderella set after World War III in New Beijing, where Cinder is a cyborg due to a horrible accident and now she works as a mechanic. Then Prince Kai shows up with an secret-holding android needing to be fixed. And there’s a plague. And a colony of telepaths/empaths on the moon whose queen is looking to gain …
I was truthfully surprised by how much this book sucked me in. The synopsis makes it seem kind of weird; it’s a science-fiction, fairy tale, post-apocalyptic, cyborg, alien book and I’d never expect all of that to work together in one book but it does. Cinder is a pretty good character, perhaps with some of the typical whiny behavior I’ve come to …
This was painful.
P-A-I-N-F-U-L.
This book is one of the best books that I have ever read in my entire life.
I loved this whole series; just re-read all of them and they held my interest a second time. Hard to put down!
This is the first book in the Lunar Chronicles and I have them for such a very long time that I decided it was finally time to read it. This book is a futuristic retelling of Cinderella, which is my favorite fairy tale.
All you have to know is that this book takes place in New Beijing and we follow our main character Cinder. Keep that in mind and …
