Naughty and nice collide and it’s scary good. Cider & Chill makes for a spicy romance. Hannah and Roman are an exciting combination of wicked temptation and captivating reading. Falling is love proves an easy feat with Kaylin Evans at the helm.
Really enjoyed this book, the characters were great. I loved reading about the way they interacted even though they were from different “worlds”.
Hannah is working at the family business, she’s busy and they’re having one of their best seasons yet. When her mother suggests hiring some help, she’s determined to prove she can handle it alone. Roman, an executive from New York on a mandatory vacation, is looking for work so Hannah hires him. Great characters, wonderful story of romance, love and a bit of steam all right around the holidays.

Gets you in the mood for some pumpkin pie and mulled cider
This is a very sweet story about Hannah and Roman that also has a bit of steamy sizzle in this short story. Both characters are very likeable and play off each other well. The story-line is interesting and you can get lost in it as Roman is sent to Holiday Valley to learn how to find balance in his life. This is where he meets Hannah. She runs the family owned pumpkin patch and apple cider stand and ends up helping her.
This is a wonderful holiday themed story that will get you in the mood for sipping some mulled cider, eating a pumpkin pie and cuddling in front of a warm fire to take the chill off from outside.

Hannah works in her family’s seasonal business – right now it’s a pumpkin patch and cider stand. They’re having the best season ever, but she’s super busy, so her mother suggest that she hire some help. She wants to prove that she can do it alone, but you know moms. Roman is looking for a job, and Hannah hires him. He’s actually an executive from New York, in town for a mandated vacation, to learn how to chill. This is such a great book – sweet characters, a feel good story built around the holidays, and a bit of unexpected steam. It’s a quick book to read, and very enjoyable. This is my first read from this author, but not the last.

A quick read that doesn’t short change on the steam, This book went from sweet to steamy in the blink of an eye.
Roman has been sent on a forced break by his brother and he has ended up in Holiday Valley where he runs into the overworked Hannah She is running her families cider stall and pumpkin patch he soon starts working for her to help her have some time The heat and attraction between this couple is off the charts but what will happen when Roman has to return to New York. Do they have a future together You will have to read to see
The Morton family’s seasonal business – a pumpkin patch and cider stand combo — normally starts slowing down after Halloween. But now, even though it’s close to Thanksgiving, the tourists who have been coming to Holiday Valley in droves seem determined to buy every last pumpkin in the patch! Hannah hopes this success will convince her parents that she can run the business by herself next year when they retire. Right now, though, she is making apple cider as fast as she can while two dozen people are lined up and 6 or 7 people are approaching the un-manned register to buy the huge pumpkins they selected from the pumpkin patch.
A tall, handsome customer walks up and Hannah is immediately attracted to him – and speechless. She stumbles over her words, makes an apple cider for him, then sloshes it on the front of his $1,000 coat! She comes at him with wet napkins and frantically wipes the front as he tries to tell her it’s fine and finally has to grab her hands to stop her. In the midst of it all, her parents arrive and have to help out to get the lines shorter. Hannah was hoping to eventually take over more of their family businesses. Besides the pumpkin patch, they have a Christmas tree farm, a floral shop, and a strawberry field that’s very popular in the summer – something for all the holiday seasons. But if she can’t even run a pumpkin patch and cider stand, taking on the rest of the businesses doesn’t look likely. And if she’s not ready to take over, they’ll sell the business to outsiders!
As Hannah is gently arguing with her mother about the need to hire an assistant, the tall man walks up to her again and says, “My name is Roman Laurentis and I’d love to make cider with you.” Hannah treats it as a joke, but he stands there until she notices him again. Roman owns a marketing firm business with his brother and is a workaholic type from New York, so he appreciates how hard she works and that the business means something to her. And he needs something to keep busy with until after Thanksgiving – so this seasonal job would be perfect. She hires him and the next day, because he also offered to carry the customers’ pumpkins to their car, he was getting too warm and started shedding clothes down to his white t-shirt. Hannah actually poured warm cider over her hand while watching him! She takes him on a walking tour after work to see the lovely small town that she tells him is her favorite place in the world. She wants to share her love of the town with him so he can enjoy his short stay here. When they get back to his car, he kisses her until she pushes him away. He is her employee and this can’t happen.
At the end of work the next night, Roman gets a call from his brother who finds out Roman is working instead of taking time to grieve the death of their father a year earlier. Henry knows Roman works incessantly to keep from dealing with the death, that he is afraid to mourn. Hannah accidentally overhears and her kind words cause a few tears he held back to fall before he can stop them. He puts his arms around her and kisses her again because he just has to – and this time she doesn’t push him away. She knows she wants him and he’s leaving soon. He pulls back a little and looks into her eyes and asks, “Will you go to the town bake sale with me tomorrow?” [Yes, a lost it a little and almost fell off my chair laughing.] Now that she finally knows how she feels and that she wants him, he invites her on a date! Laughing, they say goodnight and she heads home. But how is she going to be able to give this man up?
This well-written story was absolutely delightful. The reader can feel the chemistry between Roman and Hannah right from the start as they react to the comedy-of-errors when she spills cider all over him. Their interactions are warm and humorous. The story line is comfortable and well-paced. I think I fell in love with him a little, too! Grab your copy and see if you agree!
A great, well written- story full of humour and steam.

This is book 2 of the Holiday Valley series. This was a very quick read but oh so good. I loved Hannah and Roman. They were so good together. The chemistry was hot. You will be able to read this book and one sitting and it will keep you invested and the only issue I had was that it had to end. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series.

I found this book to be a very enjoyable read with a great storyline and wonderfully created characters! Roman and Hannah was very likable, believable and engaging which kept me totally captivated until the turn of the very last page!
Cute
Good and tender story but despite some hot scenes, it remained too tender, cute, without twist. I still have that cute feeling but no real attachment to the characters. It’s a shame because I loved the beginning : a man is obliged to come to rest and take a step back after the death of his father because he had drowned in the work, but he decides after three hours at his vacation spot, to help Hannah who sells pumpkins and cider between Halloween and Thanksgiving. The only point of doubt is, how would they do if they were together?
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book
While I enjoyed the first book in this series, Scary & Sweet, I was definitely besotted with Roman and Hannah’s story and their indisputable chemistry. In this second of the series, Kaylin Evans demonstrates how people from totally different backgrounds and lifestyles, can come together unexpectedly and find a love to last a lifetime.
Roman’s hails from the Big Apple and lands in Holiday Valley on a forced hiatus courtesy of his brother. Expecting the worse, a leisurely walk has Roman crosses paths with a harried Hannah at her family Cider Stand and is instantly smitten. As time progresses and their relationship moves from boss/employee, to a combustible romance, the inevitable question looms; what happens when Roman returns to New York?
Hannah and Roman are totally adorable together and their story is heart-warming, sweet, super sexy and absolutely everything we expect from a contemporary romance. I can only hope the rest of this series is a good as this book!
Sweet romance and read; love reading novellas. Good read. Can’t wait to see what happens next in this little town.
