Candy Ray Sunshine—Yes, that is my real name, thank you very much, Mom and Dad—knew two things. One, she was going to work her butt off and open her very own coffee shop, even if she had to die doing it.Two, Banks Valentine was the world’s worst ex-boyfriend in the history of ex-boyfriends. Even if they were only boyfriend and girlfriend for one evening. She wouldn’t sneeze on him even if he was … if he was on fire.
Banks Valentine also knew two things.
One, he was an immature jerk when he was in high school, and Candy Ray Sunshine probably could open a coffee shop if she put her mind to it. But he still thinks that she should shoot a little higher, anything that gets her the heck out of Kilgore, Texas.
Two, he likes riding bulls. It’s a dangerous job, and when he gets on the back of one of those thousand-pound death machines, he can finally feel his head clear enough that he can think.
Candy and Banks would never get along. Not after what he said, and definitely not after what she did.
Then again, neither one of them expected that night to end the way it did, either—the night that both of them refused to talk about the next morning.

Oh! Those Valentine boys, they get me every time! And Banks and Candy’s story is definitely not an exception! It was spicy, it was funny, it was everything I adore about these boys and their family! What started out as a not so friendly rivalry, became one of the sweetest love stories I’ve ever read!
Despite her loving parents, and happy childhood, Candy had more than her fair share of heartache and tragedy. Plenty of it at the hands of Banks Valentine. Trying to find herself as a teenager invited ridicule from her peers, and left her in a bad place, emotional and mentally. But even though Banks wasn’t the nicest to her, and she had plenty of anger and harsh feelings leftover into adulthood, there were other feelings mixed in with the anger. Feelings that she kept hidden.
Banks’ life has been full of chaos, horror, and pain. He is a survivor, and it’s all made him a better man. He regrets many of the things he did as a young man, and just hopes that he gets a second chance, to make things right. he just has to figure out how to earn her forgiveness, and prove that he deserves her heart.
This book hits a nerve with me. I have to admit, I cried for Candy. The things she went through were harsh, and there are too many who live through it, and never get over it. That she was able to move past it, and find her happiness in that forgiveness, was amazing. This was a beautiful story, and definitely turned my sad tears, into tears of happiness!

5 Hella Good Stars !!!
This series just keeps getting better and better. Each book I think will be my favorite and then the next book comes out and BAM! I adore the new couple even more than the last two and I did not think that would be humanly possible.
Lani Lynn Vale has created this southern comfort good ole boy series. The Valentine men have values that I just cannot get enough of lately. These men have been through utter hell and still hold more self-worth and value for their community and loved ones than you would think possible.
Candy Ray Sunshine and Banks Valentine’s book started with one of the best High School Senior pranks ever. I was rolling so hard I had tears. You can vividly imagine this scene and put yourself right into the story.
This book is riddled with heartache that will break you and have you feeling absolutely heartbroken for Candy and Banks. But Lani Lynn Vale keeps the humor flowing and we get a beautiful HEA and a couple that goes from frenemies to best friends and lovers. Their story is so beautiful.
Candy and Banks are two of my favorite characters that I have read this year. One-Click and fall in love with their story like I did.
I wasn’t sure what Chute Yeah had in store for me as the first part of this book had the tears streaming down my face. However as the tears from the pain and heartache dried, new tears formed, but don’t worry these were ones resulting from the laughter that at times I couldn’t control. Banks and Candy stole my heart and had me captivated by their journey from pain to happiness. Their story was emotional, heartfelt, witty and overflowing with passion. Another Valentine that will have you absolutely enamored and wanting to pull on a pair of boots and head to the rodeo. Be prepared though because eight seconds will never be enough with Banks and Candy.
I loved this book. It broke my heart in the beginning but quickly rectified that. Banks and Candy are perfection together. This is the 3rd book in the Valentine Boys series and I am so in love with all these characters. This book was a quick read with lots of laugh (after some heavy stuff, there is talk about rape so if that is a trigger for you than you may want to avoid.) Candy is hilarious .
Just a side not I love how this book touched on how the world views on celebrities being objects not worthy of privacy. I think it’s an important message that just because they are famous doesn’t mean they don’t deserve they same privacy that we all have. I don’t know why that stuck with me it just did.
***I did receive a free copy of this book from Lani Lynn Vale and Wildfire Marketing Solutions in exchange for a fair and honest review. ***
What an amazing book! I was so excited to see what would happen between Banks & Candy to make them go from not being able to be around each other to falling in love. I loved watching these two give into their chemistry! Candy was sassy & made me laugh so hard with her reactions to pain meds!! I loved watching Banks do all that he could to make Candy feel his love! Plus I think this has been the least “angsty” Valentine brother book so far!! I can’t wait to read Darby’s book!

The third of the Valentine brothers’ stories belongs to Banks. Back in high school, before “that night” happened, Banks had been popular and quite the hottie. Then there had been Candy Ray Sunshine. Candy was also known as “goth girl” and was teased relentlessly, but after getting a yes from Banks when she summoned up the courage to ask him to a dance, the night in question changed both their lives forever… for the worse. Jump to present day and both are back in town, both lusting after each other, and both silently hoping that maybe they will finally get a chance at a happy ever after. Is that hoping for too much though?
This was yet again a brilliant story from Lani Lynn Vale that I devoured in pretty much one sitting. I love Laniland and can’t wait for the next one to take me back there. I give Chute Yeah 5 stars.

Another hit out of the park! Banks and Candy give us some major feels in this story! High school isn’t easy for anyone, for Candy it was horrible and Banks Valentine had a hand in that. Now years later, high school was long ago but the feelings still remain. Candy hasn’t forgiven Banks for the part he played. What would it take for her to forgive him? What happens when all the cards are put on the table, and secrets are shared?
This is not a standalone and should be read with the previous books from the Valentine series. Candy’s story broke me and I will forever be in her corner. Seeing everything play out with loads of drama, some really hot moments, and of course some bull riding; this was a really entertaining story that I couldn’t put down till it was done. I give this 5 stars.
I freakin love the Valentine Brothers. Each.and.every.one.of.them.HARD. I can’t even begin to tell you how much. These Wrangler wearing cowboys will own you like a prime piece of real estate. And Banks, rodeo star Banks, is prime cowboy material – PRIME. His chaps can line my bedroom floor anytime, anyplace, anywhere! Candy Ray Sunshine (yes that is her name and despite the hell she’s been through, she totally lives up to it) is beautifully broken but stronger for it. You will adore her quirky, sexy personality. Together Banks and Candy are fantastic.
Trust me when I say that you will absolutely love this drama free, enemies to lovers romance read because it’s sexy, funny and ever so sweet. TBR and fall in love with the Valentine Brothers and the women who complete them. (I read an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review.)
5 Star Review Chute Yeah (The Valentine Brothers #3) by Lani Lynn Vale
This is Candy Ray Sunshine and Banks Valentine’s story which was emotional.
Candy and Banks have history, starting in high school and not all of it is good.
This was an emotional roller coaster of a read and I admit, tears were shed. Can Candy and Banks make peace with the past, forgive and move forward? Or will they allow the past to destroy their chance at happiness?
I loved how Candy gave as good as she got, not prepared to back down; while Banks was totally alpha and swoon worthy.
Candy and Banks are perfect for one another and I was cheering for them to get their happily ever after. If ever a couple deserved happiness it was these two.
These ‘boys’ and their ‘girls’ are romance royalty…
I loved this series from the first pages so it was little wonder I was on high alert for Banks and Candy’s story. Their relationship was complicated but I had no idea at all, what was hidden by well-earned animosity. If I hadn’t already had a soft-spot for Banks, he may not have been able to dig out from under…
When we are kids, we don’t always make the right decisions but these ones were doozies. With heart-wrenching complications. Banks, his entire family, had been through he** and back, yet Candy could go toe to toe in the pain department. She survived, stayed strong, and didn’t let Banks off the hook for a second. Banks was stuck with a girl he had been too afraid to admit an attraction for, but who now in his face and soon solidly in his heart… He had to redeem himself, if only he knew how.
With this author’s proven skill at mixing family, humour and heart, their story played out like a dramatic roller coaster I never wanted to leave. With each revelation, with each moment of redemption, they proved what true love really means.
Be prepared for emotional overload. And chaps. Oooh, yes, chaps…

Chute Yeah tells the story of Candy Ray Sunshine and Banks Valentine. And what a terrific story it is too. It is written in two parts with the first part happening fifteen years prior to today.
From the first part I was chuckling, that senior prank was a good one but the description of the cleanup even funnier! The hilarity continues in part two but one of the funniest was the description of what Wranglers do for a man. And the reaction Candy had to painkillers, hilarious. There are some extremely dark and serious aspects of the story though that balance this lighter side, these are handled smoothly and don’t overshadow the story.
Candy was a fighter and yet when she had had enough I couldn’t blame her for feeling so despondent, my heart broke for that young woman. She certainly triumphed though and it was great to see. Banks we got to know on a deeper level, naturally, and I liked who he was, his self-honesty and reflection was very refreshing. I liked them together but did find the jump from the previous book where the hatred between them, on Candy’s side, was incredibly strong to their budding relationship a bit too easy, but hey it’s fiction.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and recommend it to everyone.

These Valentines boys are just swooping and stealing everybodies hearts.
First we had Ace, then Callum and now Banks! I already know Darby is gonna make me swoon!
Banks and Candy’s relationship wasn’t easy and we knew it wasn’t going to be but i never would of imagined the pain that Candy went through. I can’t even be mad at Banks either with the stuff he pulled since he was a teenager and man does he make up for it when he’s older.
I absolutely loved these two!
Banks like his brothers had that sweet charming trait about him that i loved and wanted to eat up.
And Candy even though she had a awful time she was amazing too! So feisty.
I can’t wait for Darby’s book!
This book was, gah, soo sweet! Chute Yeah showed that love can be born out of quiet, tragic places. Banks and Candy seem to bond over their shared love/hate relationship in high school and traumas that happened on the same night. I just loved this story! Banks is the sweetest. (I want one of him for myself.) Candy is one lucky lady! The epilogue brought tears to my eyes, too. If you find me watching bull riding videos, don’t be surprised! LLV brought the heat, too. 5 stars!
If I could have happy little hearts around my head right now I would. Banks and Candy have such an amazing romance that just left me feeling all happy and light headed. These two went through enough shit when they were younger, and now seeing them together just makes all that shit in the past come across as more than a lifetime ago.
Candy is a badass and i love her for it! She’s not afraid to speak her mind to Banks or anyone else. She gives Banks just as much as he gives her. Banks is like an uber sweetheart. He is so masculine and alpha, yet he’s so sweet and caring. I love how he pulls off that!
I adore these Valentine brothers and I’m so happy to finally see them get their happily ever afters. Lani once again takes us away to a big ass farm in Texas and sweeps our feet from under us!
