Candy Ray Sunshine—Yes, that is my real name, thank you very much, Mom and Dad—knew two things. One, she was going to work her butt off and open her very own coffee shop, even if she had to die doing it.Two, Banks Valentine was the world’s worst ex-boyfriend in the history of ex-boyfriends. Even if they were only boyfriend and girlfriend for one evening. She wouldn’t sneeze on him even if he was … if he was on fire.
Banks Valentine also knew two things.
One, he was an immature jerk when he was in high school, and Candy Ray Sunshine probably could open a coffee shop if she put her mind to it. But he still thinks that she should shoot a little higher, anything that gets her the heck out of Kilgore, Texas.
Two, he likes riding bulls. It’s a dangerous job, and when he gets on the back of one of those thousand-pound death machines, he can finally feel his head clear enough that he can think.
Candy and Banks would never get along. Not after what he said, and definitely not after what she did.
Then again, neither one of them expected that night to end the way it did, either—the night that both of them refused to talk about the next morning.

Man I love everything Lani writes! But boy do I love her Valentine cowboys! She definitely didn’t disappoint with Banks.
I have loved Banks in the previous two books. There was just something about him, be it his quiet don’t mess with me attitude, that just made me love him and knew that there was more too him. He definitely showed that in this book especially with Candy.
Candy per usual broke my heart in Part I. Oh man did she kill me with what happened to her. But I think Banks got to me too once he finds out what happened. I adored these two together. They are so perfect for each other.
I can’t wait for Darby’s book next. I am super excited who the heroine is going to be!! But I will be sad to have to end this series as it’s in my top 5 cowboy romance series.

recommendation
Candy and Banks have a past, a hurtful past that lead to events that almost destroyed Candy. Now years later they interact again but now Banks wants to make up for his past and to tell Candy the truth, but there are always people and complications trying to keep them apart. I loved this book so much. The Valentine family have had a complicated past and they have to learn to love and trust again when it was ripped from them. The first member was Georgia and I fell in love with all of the brothers in that story. Now this the third book about the brothers has me hooked. Their stories are emotional, funny and sexy. I highly recommend this complete series as it has something for everyone. This author will blow your mind as every character is different in their own way.
Chute Yeah by Lani Lynn Vale is the third book in her Valentine Boys series. This is the story of Candy Ray Sunshine and Banks Valentine. Frenemies since their younger school days, two tragic events that take place on the same night end up separating them before the “enemies” part of their relationship has a chance to morph into more.
Fast forward to present day and they are now neighbors. Candy has a donkey that keeps escaping onto Banks’ family ranch and the two are back in each other’s social circle. With the help of mutual friends their social calendars keep overlapping and Candy steps up to help Banks with an issue he’s having on the rodeo circuit. One thing leads to another, some shenanigans ensue, some sexy times, and some awesome crazy that is par for the course in a LLV book. LOVED THIS! Enjoy!
For as long as I have read Lani Lynn Vale she has never failed to make me laugh, think, cringe, squirm, etc. And with Chute Yeah she does it all again. As this is book 3 in the Valentine Boys series, and as I have been hooked since book one, I was ready to sit and enjoy all sorts of fun. She did not let me down.
If you have been keeping up with the Kilgore stories by Lani Lynn you know the last name Valentine. If you have not been keeping up with the story she does gives you a little backstory. But, I highly recommend you go back and catch up from the start. Every story brings a little more to light and each story will secure your heart tighter to the family and all the antics that entails.
Banks is the brother that has always known where he was going, or at least had a plan on how to get it done. Chute Yeah brings his profession to light and parts of bringing that profession to life will have you wishing he had chosen a different career. But adrenaline in sports is what makes it all the more exciting. The risk is what gets you paid. And in his field the risk could just as easily get you MORE than paid.
Candy has been anything but the girl about town. Often known as the loner she has built her life through hardship and strain. Her choices have seldom been of her choosing, but her successes are still just as visible. Even as she moves forward with life, some things cannot be swept under the table. The heart really is a powerful tool.
Lani Lynn Vale has put another victory on her mantle with this story. Banks and Candy are challenging and yet fun. Watching them make up for lost time is endearing. Feeling the stress and fear of watching your loved one risk their lives is touching. And then Lani Lynn gives us the great ending we all hoped for. This is another great story and I happily give it all the stars I can.
I knew Banks’s story was going to be awesome. And it so was.
Banks and Candy together was so sweet. I loved that it’s almost like they decided it was enough to be in this love/hate thing going and just gave in to their feelings for each other
My heart just Broke for Candy and what she went through and so it did for Banks. Evetyime I read about what their family went through in each book it just breaks me
But I think both of them so broken they just knew how to fix each other
I am excited for Darby’s story. I know it’s going to be another Heartbreakers. Lani I am loving these new books and I am waiting in anticipation for the next one
Continuing to love the Valentine boys! We’ve gotten some teasers in the past two books about Banks and Candy and I was so excited to finally get their story. My heart honestly bled for Candy and what she experienced. After a rough time in high school that ended with a devastating outcome, Candy has built herself back up and is determined to make her business successful. Banks’ whole life changed and turned around after what he experienced with his family all those years ago. The book mainly focused on what happened to each of them all those years ago and the role each of them played in the others. The chemistry between this couple had me constantly laughing and made me so happy that they ended up together after all those years! While I loved their story, I felt like I was forever waiting for the ball to drop and something to happen, as that’s this author’s typical M.O., but other than that I really enjoyed it.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
While this book did not come with a disclaimer, there is a tragedy in the heroine’s past that could trigger some readers. It isn’t discussed in detail, but even the brief glimpses might be difficult for some. By the middle of the book, it’s not brought up in more than passing once or twice.
That being said I thought the story was wonderfully written and I loved seeing things unfold between Candy and Banks. I wouldn’t quite call it an enemies-to-lovers book, but there are enough misunderstandings in the beginning that it might come across that way. I was happy to see the two of them start over and stop ignoring the attraction they felt.
Once I started this book, I couldn’t put it down. There were times my heart raced and times I melted at how sweet Banks was with Candy. But don’t just take my word for it… Grab a copy and read it for yourself. You won’t be disappointed.
These Valentine Boys are each taking a piece of my heart! I can’t even be mad about because they are do dang charming and irresistible!
Chute Yeah is the 3rd book in the Valentine Boys series. While the books are interconnected they can be read as standalone novels. This is the second book in the series I have read and I am already head of heels for these guys! Lani Lynn Vale is a new to me author (I’ve only read these books) but you can bet I’ll be grabbing many more of her novels in the future. What are some of your favorites? I need more recommendations for where to start!
Anyway, this book is heartfelt in so many ways. It’s not a cheesy romance filled with fluff. The characters (mainly, Candy) have had some disappointments and hardships in their lives. While these don’t take over the entire story, they do add to the realism and the reasons why I personally fell in love with the hero.
Banks is a fantastic character and dare I say, my favorite so far? He’s come so far from who he used to be and shows is through his actions towards the woman he is fighting for! I loved him to pieces.
If you’re looking for a solid read, one that will NOT disappoint then you can’t go wrong with Chute Yeah! This is a romantically sweet read with an amazing set of characters
Lani Lynn Vale was all about the feels in Candy and Banks’ story; there was a lot for these two characters to sort through, but they could only do that if they, not only, worked through the night that irrevocably changed both their lives, but processed what that ordeal taught them and how to focus on the here and now, not the past that seems to always be there, forcing them to remember what their struggles, but hopefully, see this as a second chance.
Vale sets up Chute Yeah using a number of romance tropes, all illustrating the path Candy and Banks needed to take in order for them both to make amends and then get to know the older versions of each other, realizing that those high school crushes have meld into something more, something that they both want, something that could bring a whole lot of light to the present, forcing the darkness of their pasts to recede, and even though that task may be arduous and may come with a heck of a lot of ups and downs, by the time the story is over, Vale gives readers exactly what they’ve come to expect from her writing and characters – humor, heart, steam, and the knowledge of just how important family is.

4 Stars!
As soon as I reached the end of Crazy Heifer I started counting down the days until the next The Valentine Boys book! I couldn’t wait to jump back into this world and get Banks’s story. Once I started reading it on my Kindle, I ended up needing to finish it in one sitting. I really enjoyed this installment!
Banks and Candy’s journey is one that brought out my emotions. The more I kept on reading the more I connected with these two. From their strength to their connection, and every moment in between, I really adored them!
It made my heart so happy to reunite with the Valentine Boys!
With Chute Yeah, Lani Lynn Vale created a read with such realness and heart! I can’t wait for Darby’s book!
*I volunteered to read and review a copy of this book from Wildfire Marketing Solutions / the author*
I love me some Valentine boys! One night changed Banks and Candy’s lives forever. Then fast forward several years and they are both thrown together. There is no fighting the sparks flying between them. I loved the banter between all the characters and could not get enough. This is another great book by Lani Lynn Vale!
These Valentine boys are something else. In Crazy Heifer, we got a glimpse at Banks and Candy’s relationship and I couldn’t wait to see this relationship unfold.
Let’s just say kids are mean and hurtful in high school and I didn’t blame Candy for holding a grudge against Banks. But if they would have just taken the time and talk maybe things wouldn’t have lasted so many years. But the saying “Good things come to those who wait” is exactly what happened with Banks and Candy. And I think it made their relationship that much stronger.
This might be my favorite book in the series so far but then again I am so looking forward to Darby finding his person and his brothers finally telling him I told you so!
Each addition to this series I love the characters more and more. This one is Banks Valentine and Candy Ray Sunshine’s story and it seriously pulled at my heartstrings. As per usual with LLV’s writing one minute you are laughing to much you are almost peeing your pants (I could honestly picture the senior prank) and the next you are having chills and feeling your heartstrings being tugged.
I absolutely loved Candy and Banks. Their connection and chemistry was off the charts hot and mixed with so much love and humour.
Can I just say that I can totally relate to Candy’s reaction to her painkilling drugs, I had that reaction when I had my wisdom teeth out.
Well done on another instalment in this brilliant series. I can’t wait to read Darby’s book
What can I say, at the beginning I just didn’t know if a wanted to laugh or cry after, I just love it, OMG, this one is beautiful, how the author creates her characters is beyond me because they’re perfect, and how everything falls into the right places, hope you enjoy this one as much a I did.
These Valentine men keep getting better and better! I was already intrigued by Banks and Candy after the last book but I was totally blown away with their full story. To say these two have a rocky history is an understatement. The background between them is enough to having you shedding a few tears while feeling a tad bit ragey, but when it comes to the present be prepared to swoon like crazy.
Banks and candy have a relationship full of sparks and humor with a whole bucket load of sweetness thrown in to round it out. The sparks that fly in the beginning grow into explosive chemistry the more time these two spend together. I swear when I wasn’t laughing like crazy I was crying tears of happiness at how dang perfect they were together!
This is the third book in the Valentine Boys series. It is a stand alone, but each book has been beyond fantastic! It’s hot cowboys!
TThis is Banks and Candy’s story.
What’s great about this book is that it starts before the shooting and fire that flipped all the Valentine’s lives upside down.
That wasn’t the only thing tragic and horrible that happened that night. We learned about what happened to Candy also.
They are both survivors though.
I love how they “hated” each other at the beginning.
I also loved how all the other Valentine’s kind of threw them together to keep the buckle bunnies away!
This is such a great read!
“Have you ever put two and two together and come up with fifteen reasons to smack a motherfucker?”
Chute Yeah (The Valentine Brothers #3) by Lani Lynn Vale is a hilarious and emotional rollercoaster romance read.
I have been so waiting for this story because it’s Candy Ray Sunshine and Banks Valentine’s story!! They have history together that goes back to high school and back then, some of it wasn’t good at all.
Without giving the story away, just know that Candy and Banks story is heartbreaking, emotional, touching, funny, heartwarming, steamy, intense and amazing. I totally didn’t expect to read what I read in this book and I really loved everything. I loved the characters, chemistry and family history that was written. Everything comes together quite brilliant. I can’t wait for the next book in this series.
My Rating: 4.7 stars ********
4.5 Stars
I couldn’t put this one down! I will admit that the beginning was tough to read, but hang in there because this book gets so good. I loved Candy so much! I want to be friends with her. With what the Valentine family has gone through it always makes me so happy to read their hard fall into love. Banks and Candy always fight, but they say there is a think line between hate and love. The cast of characters in this series is so great. I’m happy to revisit previous characters and see what is into store for the current main characters. This book had me laughing so much. Right now I’m in need of some HEA and laughs so this one fit the bill perfectly!
Lani Lynn Vale brings fans of the Valentine Boys series a fabulous enemies to lovers romance with Chute Yeah!
Candy Ray Sunshine and Banks Valentine. Candy Ray wasn’t popular in highschool and preferred to stay in the background. Banks was part of the “in” crowd. Both had a secret crush on the other, but neither let it show. And, on a night that should have been a fun and amazing time, they both experienced the worst night of their lives that left them forever changed.
It’s been years, and Candy Ray is back in town and finally following her dream of opening a coffee shop. Since her new business partner is Banks’ sister in law, it’s time to call a truce.
From there, things spiral quickly into the relationship that they should have had all those years ago . . . and it’s fabulous, although not without a bit of drama!
Honest to god, I loved Banks and Candy! What was not an easy relationship between them felt like one. Once Candy Ray and Banks decided to move on from the past, it just happened naturally and quickly.
I adored this quirky couple. I loved that even though people saw Candy as fancy, she was willing to jump in and muck out a stall with the rest of them. I also loved watching her jealousy spark around the buckle bunnies on the Rodeo circuit as they tried to lay their claim on Banks. And Banks . . . for a quiet guy, he sure is a romantic! His proposal and final ride are both epic moments like only Lani Lynn Vale can write. And, Candy Ray on pain meds was beyond hysterical!
Chute Yeah was everything I could have wanted for Banks and Candy. Fun, flirty, quirky, sexy, sweet and unexpected. 5 stars!
I’m loving these series that are back-to-back and this is the latest in this series. I absolutely adored Banks and Candy Ray. I thought what happened to her was the saddest thing ever and it really hit home. It broke my heart and when Banks found out he was such an Alpha male. I love that about LLV’s characters. They’re alpha but not chauvinistic. I definitely recommend this to everyone!! You get to see all the side characters of the other books and the lead up to Darby’s book.
