Meet Carly & Kip…
She’s a Holiday Grinch…
Carly Gatlin doesn’t want to spend another Christmas alone. With her beloved father gone, she’s desperate to be part of a family-so she’s spending the holidays with her step-brothers on Stewart Island. But even with sand, sun, and not a snowflake in sight, everything reminds her of what she’s lost. So no tree trimming, cookie baking, or kisses … lost. So no tree trimming, cookie baking, or kisses under the mistletoe for her, thanks. Especially not from Due South’s sexy bartender, Kip.
He’s a too-hot-for-his-Santa-suit killjoy…
Kip Sullivan’s moved hundreds of miles away from his family who’d like to see him married off before his next birthday-on Christmas Eve. Then ten days before the big event, his meddling relatives arrive en masse, and dear God, they’re planning to stay. With match-makers breathing down his neck, it’s becoming harder to ignore the temptation to unwrap Carly like a present under the tree.
The Kiwi barbecue isn’t the only thing sizzling this summer…
Kip agrees to help make Carly’s first New Zealand Christmas special. He’s got five holiday missions to complete-one involving a frisky fake reindeer-before he hopes to claim a mistletoe kiss…and maybe even Carly’s heart.
Christmas just isn’t Christmas without this spicy yet sweet Due South novella.
This 40,000 word novella can be read as a stand-alone, but you’ll love it so much more if you’ve read the earlier Due South novels.
CHRISTMAS WITH YOU is the fourth story in Tracey Alvarez’s best-selling Due South books set against the stunning backdrop of Aotearoa, New Zealand. If you like Jill Shalvis, Marie Force, or Bella Andre, then you’ll enjoy diving into these heart-warming, sexy & seductive small-town romances with authentic men and women struggling to find their special someone.
more
Carly is on Stewart Island trying to forge a relationship with her elder stepbrother, with both her parents gone she needs to make the best of the family she has left. Seven weeks on, West is still awkward with her and Christmas once her favourite time of year and now her least is looming. But an awkward fall on top of smoking hot bartender Kip when decorating Due South and the arrival of his family leads to passion and the return of her holiday spirit. Loved it!
Cute, summer and Christmas together
Two of my least favorite things. I loved Carly’s Grinch attitude. It was nice that she regained her Christmas spirit. And his family was great. But the edge that it started with dissipated to cutesy romantic fluff. I like cutesy romantic fluff–I read romances–but good edge is rare. The edge rode the line between realistic and romantic really well. Usually edgy ends up being empty lust and falling for a body rather than a person.
I couldn’t finish it. More detail than I needed!
“Christmas With You” (nook version) was a delightful romance. If I could, I would rate it at 3-1/2 stars.
Tracey writes such lovely books. You feel you know the characters and where they live before you finish. Fantastic read.
Christmas “Down Under”.
love her books. hope to read more. fantastic auther
It’s a fun book! A quick read! Just a very relaxing book to read.
It was very good
Enjoyed this book was a good holiday story I’m sure the next in the series about this family will be good reading
Where has virtue gone?
This was such a cute heart warming read
So. New Zealand makes a great setting for resolving family issues for 2 young people.
As with all the characters in Oban on Stewart’s Island, Carly and Kip are just as entertaining. The sexual tension is stretched about as far as it can go while keeping a good working relationship. A lovely Christmas story bringing the joy back to those who have lost it as well as a family.
sex
Great story of Christmas romance with Carly and Kip set in New Zealand. More additions 2 Alvarez’s family of characters. A good read.
I found this book to be very predictable. If you dont like steamy/descriptive sex scenes then you probably wont like this book. I wish there was as much thought in the story line and characters as the sex scenes had.
Tracey’s stories are some of my favorites: GREAT characters and story lines, flowing dialogue, humor, romance and HEA. All her books stand on their own but when you read more in each series, the better the overall experience. Highly recommend. 🙂
Finding Love
Carly moved to New Zealand to be close to her step family after her father passed away. She works at the hotel owned by her step brothers. Kip is a bartender there. They kinda fell into each other while decorating. His family comes to visit for the holidays & try to make it good for her.
I love this series! The characters are people I think it would be fun to hang out with!
