What a sweet story! This was my first visit to Rivers Edge, and I now will be going back to read the first two Four Irish Brothers Winery stories.
Aidan and Holly are a great way to jump start my Christmas spirit!
I can’t say enough about this book! I love all of Ms. Reinhardt’s books, especially the Flaherty Brothers series, and I’m not about to pick a favorite, but the setting of this one–a riverboat in a small Southern Indiana river town–captured both my heart and my imagination. The cast of characters is wonderful, especially the hero with the fedora and the heroine’s delightful son Mateo. Seeing Holly, the heroine, grow as a human being, a mother, a daughter, and a woman in love is pure delight. I was lucky enough to get an early read of this book, and have been thinking about it ever since.
Christmas With You is the third book in the Four Irish Brothers Winery series by Nan Rinehardt. An it is a great story you will not regret reading. There’s even a huge surprise near the end.
Loved this book and would definitely recommend it. An like I said before you will not be disappointed.
Christmas With You is Nan Reinhardt’s 3rd book in her Four Irish Brothers Winery series. This book is sweet, beautiful, wonderful, intriguing… an incredible read! It is the story of celebrity actor brother Aidan Flaherty’s return to River’s Edge. He falls in love with Holly Santos, divorced mother of Mateo. Holly’s father owned a large paddle boat that served as a floating show theater, up and down the Ohio River. Aidan was his top student, the “golden boy” of all the young actors. Aidan’s relationship with Holly’s father was better than the relationship between Holly and her father. This became more complicated when Holly became pregnant at 16, and left home with her young husband. She returned years later, but her father, suffering with cancer, died shortly thereafter. Much to Holly’s heartache, her son, Mateo, falls in love with his grandfather, the showboat, and acting.
Aidan purchases the showboat, now in dry dock, with the intention of restoring it to its former glory. Mateo thinks it’s wonderful, and wants to act on stage. Holly has spent her young lifetime, being pushed aside, disappointed, and severely hurt by actors, and their theatrical productions. She’s torn… She wants nothing to do with actors or acting, but now her young son is a budding actor, and Aidan… the man she’s always loved is an actor to his core. An unforeseen medical emergency makes everyone understand that life should be led by love, not by fear.
I love Holly’s character! Mateo too! Aidan? What’s not to love? He drives around in an old green MG. He’s a devoted tea drinker. He’s a man that loves unconditionally! I’m sure that I will read this book many more times. It’s a treasure!
Holly doesn’t like actors. Why is it that they keep coming into her life? In some form or another they keep messing with her life and she’s done with them! First her father was obsessed with mentoring actors and put his whole heart and soul into that so he seemed to have little left over for her. Then she fell in love with an actor at 16 and has a son to show for that – he never had time for her either. Now, Aiden Flaherty, big time movie star, is back from Hollywood and wants to pursue her….um, no, just no! Just because he got killed off on a TV show, that doesn’t mean he wont go back to Hollywood and leave her when he’s tired of his hometown! Oh how I loved this latest installment of this series! The characters are great and having the other brothers and their wives pop in and out of the story were great! Can’t wait for the next book!
A not quite Christmas, not quite second chance, romance that will warm your heart. Reinhardt captures these characters perfectly and definitely makes you want to curl up with a cup of tea and an actor.
This story has a little different feel to it – younger main characters with a preteen included, just to start. I won’t give spoilers but the story definitely wields it’s way to a happy ending! It felt very organic to the main characters. I was enthralled from the first chapter.
This is the third book in this series (yes i have read them all) and a second chance romance to boot. It is an enjoyable book to read and a series I plan to read again as an entire grouping once this series is finish and I have some free time. This is Aidan Flaherty, the actor in the family’s story and Holly and her son Matteo. Aidan had no idea he used to know Holly as a kid when he was a teenager acting on the local showboat that her father owned. BUT oh Holly recognized him when he waltzed into town wanting some specialty tea early one morning before her shop was even open. Oh yes did I forget to mention he got killed off on his famous tv show he had been on for years. LOL which burned his britches. So much push and pull between the two of these two characters but add in a young man who is just coming into his own, thinks he can make his own decisions in life and well yes fireworks all around. This is a good read anytime of of the year if you read it connected to the first three or not.
I admit, I shed a few tears. There is one particularly touching moment between brothers that caught me off guard and I needed to grab a tissue. This family is so well written I feel like they are my neighbors and I’m so bummed I can’t go see them for Christmas.
Aiden was headed back home after being killed off in the TV show that he starred in. Not sure what he is going to do now, he decides to go home and spend some time with his family. He wants to help them out while he sorts out what he wants to do. He may decide to stay there and help with the family’s business, the winery.
On his way through town he thinks he sees a light on in the tea shop even though they weren’t scheduled to be open yet. He knocks and hopes they will let him in so he can buy his favorite tea before he heads to the winery. She does let him in and sells him his tea then locks the tea shop back up.
A really good book that has a lot of “emotional feels”. At some points wasn’t sure if I was going to laugh or cry. Can’t recommend it enough.
I think Aiden ranks as my newest book boyfriend. And not just because he is an Actor!
Aidan and Holly’s story is a compelling read! I read it straight through and hated to see it end.
Actor Aidan Flaherty is at a crossroads in his career and is back home trying to figure out his next step at his families winery. When he sees Holly Santos he isn’t quite sure why she has a bit of snark when she is dealing with him. What he doesn’t realize is who she is and when Aidan takes an interest in her fathers old showboat they find themselves thrown together working on its restoration. Holly has a wall up when it comes to actors but Aidan is determined to prove he is worth taking a chance on. Can they find their happily ever after?
I liked this one, I did not know the back story initially for Holly so you wondered about what was going on with her and Aidan. I thought this story was great, a delightful one to pick up in time for the holidays.
I recommend this story. It had me turning pages, smiling, cheering, and crying. I loved Holly’s loyalty to her son, Mateo. She was a strong woman who could not let go of her past and almost lost her future. Aidan was a sweet, generous, caring man, and made my heart pitter patter. I also really enjoyed the secondary characters. This was my first story in this series, and I will be checking out the past books and watching for the next one.
I received a copy of this story through Goddess Fish Promotions, and this is my unsolicited review.
I received this arc in exchange for an honest review. I realized this was book 3 in the series so I got and read books 1-2 and I’m glad I did. This is a terrific series and I loved this book a lot. Book 3 features Aidan Flaherty, the youngest of the 4 brothers and an actor in Los Angeles. We have met him in the other books.
When the book opens we learn that Aidan has been told his character in the popular tv series is being killed off by reading his script. He is upset at not being given a warning of this and also is feeling at loose ends without the long played role. He decides he wants to return home to Rivers Edge to hang with family and figure out his next move. He is thinking about the showboat at home he used to perform on while in college. It has gone into disrepair as the owner, Holly’s father passed away. He wonders about buying it.
He drives home from Los Angeles and meets the woman who has the tea store in town, Holly Santos. He is drawn to her, not realizing she is the daughter of his old mentor who helped him start acting. She knows who he is, as she’s always had a crush on him. Holly is a single mom, divorced from her son’s father after a bad marriage to an actor wannabe. Because of her ex and his ignoring their son Matty while trying to secure acting roles and her father who put his work ahead of his family, she avoids actors.
Holly and her mother have a booth set up at the town festival, next to Four Irish Brothers Winery’s booth. Matty has gone off with his friends. Later his friends come to get Holly as Matty has gone on the showboat and gotten hurt. Aiden hears and goes along to help save Matty. He and the paramedics get Matty off the boat and to the hospital. Holly is very grateful. Aiden visits Matty in the hospital. He decides to purchase the showboat from Holly’s mom. He plans to open it again after refurbishing it and putting some instructors and staff on board. He wants to bring it back like in the glory days under Holly’s dad.
Holly still doesn’t want to get involved with Aiden but she eventually agrees to go to dinner with him. He tries to convince her he’s nothing like her ex or her father. He has plans to stay in Rivers Edge and make it his home while running his new business. He wants her and Matty in his life but she is resisting him.
There are many interactions between the 4 brothers, Sam, Meg and Ali which are enjoyable to read. We see the relationships between Holly and Aidan and Aidan and Matty grow during the book. Holly eventually lets her loving feelings from the past for Aidan come out and she struggles with what to do, based on her fears of being with an actor. We see Matty develop an interest in acting and Holly matures in her handling of the situation. There is some angst over some health issues as well as whether Holly will finally trust Aidan to stay. It is a wonderful romance and continuing Family Saga. It is a 5 star book.
This is a sweet Christmas romance about two people both disillusioned with life finding a reason to go forward together.
Aidan Flaherty has been written out of the award winning TV show he starred in so he has returned to his families winery something he has invested money into for years in the small town he grew up in. Meanwhile single mum and divorcee Holly Santos has also returned totally disillusioned about love. She had a major crush on Aiden when she was younger but never acted on it. When he becomes interested in the old show boat she inherited from her father they reconnect Can this be the connection they both need to start rebuilding their lives and will they fall in love in the processes You will have to read to see.
Holly is very cynical on love and movie stars. Burned once and a little gun shy. Running a tea shop and with her mom’s help raising her son. Aidan’s a movie star comes home to regroup after getting killed off on his role. He’s the one Holly always loved from afar. He buys her father’s show boat and plans to put it back in use. He also sees the sparks between them from the start and wants to expand on them. Can he convince Holly to give him a chance? Trust that he’s not like her ex and that he’s the real deal? Entertaining characters and storyline. Enjoyed! I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC from Tule Publishing.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC from Tule Publishing.
Christmas with You is a beautiful coming home story involving one of the Flaherty brothers of the Four Irish Brothers Winery by Nan Reinhardt. This is a lovely heartfelt series that has Aidan Flaherty returning home after a major career disappointment. Holly Santos has also returned to River’s Edge along with her son. As Aiden plans his future Holly and Mateo become a big part of the plan.
The characters are the kind that you forget that they are fictional since you grow to care for them so much. Aiden is far from the big shot celebrity, you just like this guy. Holly has reservations about all men but with an old showboat to be purchased and renovated he wears her resistance down. Book three of the series is a lovely story that held my interest until the very end.
4.5 Stars
An ARC of the book was given to me by Tule Publishing which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
A second chance romance set in a small town. A loving family of four brothers who are making their way back home and finding their HEA. Interesting plot and charming characters full of family relationships. I enjoyed the connection of the showboat to Aidan and Holly’s father and her son. Fantastic chemistry, fun banter, and growth as both Aidan and Holly overcome individual challenges. A nice addition to the Four Irish Brothers series.
Loved everything about this book from the cover to the storyline to the characters .Even though it only had 21 chapters I didn’t want it to end.I can’t wait for book 4 in the Four Irish Brothers Winery.
