Will a Christmas love built on lies melt away just as surely as the snow?Welcome to Seattle, the Emerald City and home to The Single Dads of Seattle. Ten sexy single fathers who play poker every Saturday night, have each other’s backs, love their children without quarter, and hope to one day find love again. This is Zak’s story … Single Dad of Seattle, Zak Eastwood plans to spend Christmas with … Eastwood plans to spend Christmas with fellow lonely hearts. His kids are supposed to be at an amusement park with their mom. However, fate has other plans. When a woman from his club finds herself stranded in the snow, he takes her to safety.
Drowning in student loan debt and her father’s medical bills, first-year law associate Aurora Stratford allows herself but one splurge–a pricey membership to Club Z Fitness to watch the gorgeous Zak flex his muscles. Though out of her league, fantasizing about his blue eyes and tattoos is the only thing that keeps her sane these days, especially since her Christmas will be spent alone with her dead cactus and money woes.
When the snowstorm of the century moves in and the hero of her dreams offers her a ride and a place to stay, Aurora’s Christmas begins to look up. However, Aurora is ashamed of her current financial state–she’s nobody’s charity chase–and her lies of self-preservation begin to take on a life of their own.
Can Aurora spend Christmas with the single dad and win over everyone? Or will her deceit get in the way of not only their happy holiday but her happily ever after?
**Note: This book can be read as a standalone. It includes lots of steamy scenes, cursing, and of course as with all my books, this has an HEA and no cliffhanger or cheating. If you like single dads who take charge, this book is for you.

I received an Advanced Reader Copy. I am voluntarily leaving a review. Zach is the owner of a company of gyms. He is also the single father of two young kids. His ex-wife blatantly cheated on him while he was building his busines, so he doesn’t trust anyone. Aurora is a first year associate at a Seattle law firm. She can barely afford living and paying her school loans, but the minute she sees Zach working out at the gym she was using for the free 10 day trial, she signed up to be a lifelong member. Worshiping Zach from afar, she ends up snowbound at the gym. Zach finds her and offers to let her ride the storm out at his place, since his wife has his kids for Christmas. Well, after hitting it off quickly, they find themselves surrounded by Zach’s family for Christmas. But in trying to impress her crush, she hasn’t been entirely truthful. Will this newfound romance get knocked off the rails before it has a chance to begin? This is the fifth book in the Single Dads of Seattle series. It is a standalone but there are hints and spoilers from the past books. The book is well-written, as are all Ms Cox’s books. There is a lot of steam.
The fifth book in The Single Dads of Seattle series a well written story that held my interest until the end. Zach owns Club Z a high end gym and Aurora is a first year partner at Liam’s law firm, they both have things to overcome if they are going to get their happy ending. I enjoyed reading their story. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Christmas with a single day is one of the best single dad romances I have ever read. This story is one of many in The Single Dad’s of Seattle Series, it can be read as a standalone, but the previous books are freaking awesome, so read those first if you the full experiences.
Zak and Aurora’s story warmed my heart, gave me back a little bit of my soul back and was one of the best reads I have had all year. It is a story about forgiveness, learning ones self again, and that everyone deserves a happy ending.
Aurora “Rory” is a first year lawyer, just trying to survive after the loss of her brother, her family is having some trouble and the amount of baggage she has is blame and simply dragging her down. Her one vise is going to the gym, the gym that little does she know; Zak owns. Her crush on Zak is hot and heavy, but he doesn’t even know she’s there.
Mother nature had to step in and help her along.
Zak is a single father of two awesome kids, and the one man that hates lies more than anything else. After being lied to and cheated on by his ex-wife, Zak has hardened himself to the outside world. Well the universe said enough is enough, and in walks Aurora. After rescuing her from a broken-down car in a horrible snowstorm, Zak and Rory form a fast and meaning relationship. They connect so deeply, the chemistry flaring between them. Add in some lust, family and friends, and to top it all of Christmas and the story is complete.
But what happens when Rory finds herself at the odds of Zak, will they be able to work it out? Will they both spend Christmas sad and alone? Read and find out!
Christmas With The Single Dad might just have to be Whitley Cox’s best book yet. The emotions that the author was able to pull from me with this story was amazing. If you can make me cry, have my heart ache for the characters like I am personally attached to them, then you have done your job 110%. Zak and Aurora’s story is one that will have your heart melting and your emotions felt soul deep. A story of acceptance, forgiveness and love that will have you on a roller coaster ride from lust, happiness, sadness, frustration to ultimately fulfilment. If a holiday romance that gives you every wish, hope and desire is what you crave, then Zak and Aurora have the perfect present all tied up with a pretty bow waiting under the Christmas Tree for you to indulge in.
Cox is one of my very favorite authors and Single Dads of Seattle gets better with every release! The Christmas book is about Adam’s brother, the Hulk-like Zak, owner of a chain of gyms and father of 8-year-old Tia and 10-year old Adain. But this year his ex-wife’s husband bought tickets to Disneyland, forcing Zak to give up his year to have Christmas with his kids. He picks up Aurora after closing the gym near his home when her car breaks down in the gym’s lot midst a snow blizzard. After finding out she lives across town, he invites her to spend the night in his guest room and he’ll take her home in the morning. Before he can serve her dinner, Aurora has told a white lie about where she works and let him assume another fallacy. Next thing we know the man who hates liars has invited her to spend Christmas with him! These two are deep in a romantic affair when they receive one surprise after another. Aurora’s small deception will adversely affect their world! Only faith in the author kept me from crumbling to pieces! I volunteered a review of this great read of an ARC.
Aurora had been going to Zak’s gym for months just in order to watch him. Zap then rescues her from a blizzard and takes her home. Insta-lust/love happens. Good and interesting story with some impressive characters. Good read in this book five of the Single Dads of Seattle read.

Tattoos and muscles, sweat and squats. Zak’s the perfect guy in Aurora’s mind. She’s been down on love and luck. A snow storm that leads to sex, yes please! I love everything about this story. The kids are awesome Tia’s a slice! The conversations that these two have sound so much like my husband and I it had me laughing out loud a few times. The single dads of Seattle are definitely in my top 20 ( there are so many of them lol I had to add them to my hockey team)
I absolutely love this series about single dads and their path to finding love. I have been waiting for Zak’s story and I was sure not let down.
Zak has worked hard to build his empire of owning gyms all over town. He thought he had a decent life. He worked hard to provide everything that his two adorable children and wife would need. While Zak worked to make money, his wife decided to work the neighborhood and throw her marriage away. Zak won’t ever let a women lie to him again and since his divorce, he has sworn off women and finding love. That was until one snowy night that changed everything.
Aurora is a first year lawyer who works 80 hours weekly and has nothing to show for her hard work. She sends all her extra money home to her parents to help pay her dad’s growing medical bills. She only splurges on one thing–a lifetime membership to Z’ s gym. She purposely drives a town over to this specific gym just so she can work out and eye f@@k Zak while he works out too. She has had a crush on him for over 6 months, but Zak hasn’t really noticed her since he has a personal code of not franticizing with his clients.
A blizzard has hit the area while Aurora was working out. She is the last to leave the gym and while she approached her car, she realizes she needs help digging out and a ride after her car dies. Zak comes to her rescue and offers to take her to his house since the roads are so bad and she lives a distance away. Aurora pinches herself because this is a dream come true.
Her dream has just started. The two of them get very close and as the weekend progresses and Christmas approaches, their plans get changed and they must adjust to all the people that ambush their quiet weekend. They barely know each other, but it is obvious to everyone that they truly have something special starting. Aurora hasn’t been 100% honest with Zak and eventually everything comes to a crashing end. Zak won’t put up with any lieing, so will he throw away the best thing that has happened to him in maybe forever? The single dads help him get his head on straight and even make him look in the mirror to see the truth in himself.
There are many sexy scenes because…duh….it’s Zak’s story and he is totally ripped and hot in the bedroom! Gotta love his stamina from all his working out in his gym. These stories are great and it’s fun to read about all the other couples and what they have been up to too.
Order this entire series and enjoy these sexy single dads. They will truly steal your heart too.
I loved Zach and Aurora! She is a struggling first year lawyer who wants just one thing for Christmas, Zach. Her methods may not be the perfect way to go but she has her heart to protect. Pride can get in her way more than her lust. Zach hasn’t wanted to dive back into the dating pool since the demise of his marriage. His kids are enough to keep him busy, along with his gyms. How he takes Aurora into his life is so big hearted that I swooned in my seat. Her car breaks down and since she has no one to spend the holiday with, Zach takes her into his own home. Since his kids are supposed to be with his ex, he isn’t looking foward to spending it alone. Aurora might be a beautifully unplanned distraction. Tjey have an instant connection. The heat and the sparks could melt all the snow that has blanketed the city. Whitley Cox has created all these single fathers who need just a little more. I keep saying that the present one is my favorite and Zach is no different. I adore Liam and really can’t wait for his story.
This is my favorite one yet in the Single Dads of Seattle series! These books just keep getting more awesome with every book. Aurora is a real sweetheart, kind and selfless and weighted down by guilt. I loved that she had been watching Zak for months, driving to a gym so far from work and home just to see him. Life has been rough the last few years and it is weighing her down. Circumstances put her in the right place at the right time to get noticed by Zak. He rescues her from a snow storm and a broken down car and takes her home. Wanting to leave all her baggage behind for Christmas, she omits a few things so she can enjoy her dream come true of getting close to Zak. The attraction between them is amazing, hot and playful. Zak hates liars and when he finds out, it is devastating. I was so anxious waiting for that shoe to drop. Aurora stays true to her nature and her hurt and sorrow made my chest ache for her. The ending was everything I could have hoped for, simply beautiful. I can’t wait to go back and reread this one! All the joy and hope of the holidays and the contentment of finding where you belong all wrapped up in one story. All the stars for Whitley Cox’s Christmas with the Single Dad!
This is Book 5 of the Single Dads at Christmas with Zak and Aurora who meet at his fitness club when she gets stranded at Christmas during a snow storm and he takes her back to his house. His two children was to spend the holiday with his ex but they return home and they hit it off with Aurora. Aurora was dreading the holiday as he is in debt and alone but with Zak and his children is all seems like things are looking up for her that is until a problem pops up.

Another great book to the series. This one brings Zak and Aurora’s story. Their characters are strong and have a hot chemistry together. The author does a great job developing the story and pulls you in with all the emotions flowing through the pages. She adds a steamy and passionate romance along with a cast of supporting characters and delivers another fantastic book. I loved reading and would recommend this book.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.
I am so in love with this series. Once I start one of these books, I hate to put it down. It stinks when I actually have to put in a days work and it interrupts my reading time!! What the #$%@. Anyway, each one has a great story line and this one was no exception. Contains awesome characters that blend over into the next book for just a taste. There are a few times where the story stretches beyond the believable, but it still makes for great reading. There is comedy thrown in to lighten the mood as well. This one had me on an emotional roller coaster ride. I would be snickering one minute and almost ugly crying the next. Thank goodness I was not reading that part during my lunch time when that happened!! That would have been awkward! But that makes for good reading!!
Written as a 3rd person, multi pov with a HEA.
Would I recommend this book? Yes!
Would I read more from this author? Absolutely!

My new favorite of the series. There is something about the holidays that makes people just feel good; spending time with family, the traditions and the overall warmth of holiday season. However, there is also the flip side when one lives in an area that is prone to receiving snow as it can put a damper on the festivities and throw a wrench into one’s life. Yet sometimes, the unexpected can occur and leave a person with a new lease on life. Aurora is a woman who is struggling to make ends meet. Her one ray of sunshine is her gym membership that allows her the perfect view of Zak, alpha male personified. Zak is the gym owner, with two young children, and very familiar with receiving the attention of women, even when unwanted. One night after staying late at the gym, Aurora is attempting to go home when she not only gets caught in the snow but her car up and dies. Luckily, a large truck comes to her rescue and Aurora is gobsmacked when she realizes it is Zak. What started out as a lackluster holiday for Aurora looks like it is picking up in spades. As the two get to know each other, there are things that are said but the whole truth is left unsaid. Regardless, the two begin a steamy relationship that just burns hotter with each day that passes. However, is a lie of omission really a lie? How will Zak react when he learns the whole truth? Will Zak be able to get past his feelings and forgive Aurora or will he cut off his nose to spite his face? This is such a wonderful storyline made even better with the wit injected from Zak’s children….as the saying goes out of the mouths of babes. I highly recommend this book and am looking forward to reading Emmett’s story next! I volunteered to read an advance copy of this book.
The Real Sleeping Beauty 5 stars
Falling was instantaneous on Zak’s part but Aurora has been “stalking” Zak for the past 6 months. Aurora has been having a bad year, make that several bad years, financially and emotionally. When her late boss suggested that she see a therapist and sign up for a gym, she went to every gym for their free trial period to save money. But when she saw Zak at Club Z, she allowed herself one guilty pleasure and signed up for Lifetime Membership – LOL. Then the snowstorm hit Seattle and Zak and Aurora were thrown together. Steamy dirty sex ensues and love came unexpected for Zak but wished for by Aurora. But would the lies bring an end to the Merry Christmas? Zak has baggage from the circumstances of his divorce while Aurora is near depression. Read to find out who is saving whom but let’s be clear – in this story, Zak is the sleeping beauty.
This Christmas romance is now a favorite of mine. Tia and Aiden are adorable and funny. The supporting characters are wonderful. I love how Aurora just grabbed what she wanted when the opportunity presented itself. Of course, nothing says jingle bells than kilt!
