I love Christmas stories and I love reading books set in Alaska. This romance hit all my buttons. I love reading sweet romances with lots of romantic tension.
Christmas With An Alaskan Man is both a heartwarming and emotional tear jerker. When an older couple falls in love but he lives in Alaska and she lives in California what’s the chances of it surviving? They met six months ago in Alaska at a friend’s wedding and his best friend paired them up. But when her family all goes back to Alaska for two weeks for her cousin to get married they try to make it work. But as always, both have different things they are expecting from the marriage. They take a long hard look at their situations, reasons, and what they want to come from the marriage and turn to the Lord in prayer. They know that the Lord brought them together six months ago and their faith is strong enough to withstand this tough decision. A very inspirational story that takes a serious look at what some couples face. It gives numerous scriptural verses that they use to help make their decision. Highly recommended reading!!
She went to Alaska with her cousin to visit her cousin’s best friend. They set her up with a date. He had a full heard and long hair. Definitely not her type. But he grew on her. She needed to tell him her sex before it was too late.
A great story.
I enjoyed this book but the ending fell short. It was great writing but the ending left me hanging. That said, this was a really good 3 book series.
Jazmine has a secret that she has kept close to her heart for years. She has learned contentment with her situation, but then she meets Clay. Clay is the kind of man that Jazmine could see herself with, but she struggles with being vulnerable enough to open up to Clay. Clay is a handsome man that has found the woman of his dreams in Jazmine, but she won’t even give their relationship a chance. Both have to learn to be vulnerable and learn to be content when the secret comes out.
This was a sweet, clean romance. I loved how the characters interacted with each other. I was given a complimentary copy. This is my honest and voluntary review.
Definitely my favorite so far in the series.
Why?
For one thing, Jazmin is 41. Yay.
She’s successful at work but is alone and that’s partially to her infertility.
I liked that this book dealt with infertility (you can’t pray it away).
I did like Clay, who has to do both an external and internal makeover.
I’m glad it wasn’t the woman!
So. I do recommend and yay for a book with a woman in her forties!
End of journey as a single man…
“With God at the center of our relationship, we can’t go wrong.”
Enjoyable romance with an exceptional characters who overcome their past hurts and present struggles with God’s help.
What a sensationally heartwarming story about tow people so ready to find love yet one scared to commit due to a medical illness that has made them infertile. Jazmine is a psychologist who has always wanted love and a family but has long since given up on that dream since a diagnosis has made having a family the natural way impossible. Clay lives like a mountain man but longs for a family of his own and believes he’s finally found his soul mate in Jazmine. Christmas with an Alaskan Man is a captivating and heartwarming story filled with heartache, secrets, romance, forgiveness, faith, and love. This was a beautifully written story that will pull at reader’s heartstrings and wonderful characters readers will fall in love with. I absolutely loved this new book from Evangeline Kelly.
“I voluntarily reviewed an ARC copy of this book.”
When Jazmin meets Clay again they just continued where they ended a couple of months ago. And they want both more but Jazmin has a secret that was too painful for her to tell him. But is it so painful that it can destroy their future plans.
I enjoyed this Christian story. You could feel the struggle of the main characters.
A fantastic read. The Author has done a fantastic job at Bringing Jazzs story to fruition. It grabbed me from first page to the last. And great for the holidays, you might need a box of tissues. This is definitely a story that touched my heart and I definitely recommend this read.

Do you believe in love at first sight? Or are you one of those people that go slowly in every relationship. In Christmas with an Alaskan Man, we have both types of people. Clay knows what he wants and goes after it; whereas, Jazmin takes her time when considering any relationship. To complicate things further, she lives in California and he lives in Alaska. They met the previous year when Jazmin was in Alaska for a wedding. Now one of them wants a relationship and the other won’t admit to feeling anything. This is a really good book. It takes you from California to Alaska where things are entirely different from what Jazmin is expecting. The book takes readers on an emotional roller coaster ride. One minute you are laughing, and then you are crying. You need to have some tissues nearby. The characters are well developed. Since Evangeline Kelly writes Christian romance books, you will find characters that pray and attend worship services. Although Ms. Kelly writes what she believes, her books are not “preachy”. This being an Evangeline Kelly’s book, there is a HEA ending. I think that anyone who likes reading good, clean romances will enjoy Christmas with an Alaskan Man.
So good! Finally got to get Jazmin and Clays back-story. I read in one sitting while laughing and feeling sorrow to the plight of this couple and their dreams. If you love clean stories with substance, I highly recommend ‘Christmas with an Alaskan Man.
God makes it all possible!
This is a beautiful story. The writing in this story allows you to feel the deep emotions the characters have. The struggle of dealing with a relationship and trying to discern if this is the relationship God wants for you. Knowing without a doubt the decision you have made is the right path. Clay and Jasmine love each other, but they have a huge decision to make.
This story includes some scripture. This is, of course, the word of God. Some of the scriptures used this time felt like God was speaking to me. That is always a beautiful thing!
Hunter and Sabrina have continued to be happy and they are on their way to the alter.
Wow!! Best christian fiction, I’ve read so far this year!!! Excellent and inspiring story full of powerful insights that are so spiritually and realistically touching. Regardless of relationship status, there’s scripture reference’s entwined with what this couple is dealing with to guide, comfort and encourage. Love & admire both characters. Jazmine is so strong and faithful, my heart went out to her, I remember her being reserved in the previous book. I think Clay fell in love with her at first sight, he is very determined and faithful. Tear-jerker, in fact their emotion is so strongly embedded in this story that you can feel it. This series just keeps getting better. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
When Clay met Jazmin at a friend’s wedding he knew he wanted more after all they are both around 40 years old. But he lives in Alaska and she lives in L.A.
