Acting reckless isn’t something Bentley Wilson is known for, but when he runs back into a burning building to save a little girl’s puppy after specifically told not to do so, that’s exactly how most of the townsfolk sees him, especially the fire chief who insists he has to help with the annual Christmas party because of his behavior. Throw in the fact the woman he pined over for too long is … getting married, this holiday is going to go down as one of the worst. Until he meets Emma Brookes. She’s feisty, headstrong, and holds so much pain hidden in the depths of her beautiful green eyes. He wants nothing more than to erase her sadness. But it’s already a season of disaster, and every time they’re together, they spar like two warriors dueling to the death. Despite that, he likes the challenge, the crazy way she makes him feel. Before the holiday is up, he vows to get his one Christmas wish. That she never leaves his side.

Some good characters in this novel with some twists and turns. It’s a nice little Christmas gem, which keeps you nice and snuggly warm, and makes you wish you were a part of a close knit town who looks out for their own.
I will warn you sometimes it’s a bit cringe with Bentley and his whole crush. I thought he had recently split, but turns out it was more than 5 years at least and was just using the split as an excuse to not allow any woman close. It just felt a little immature and the fact the whole town knew made it a little worse. Let’s also be honest here, Emma is a bit of a cow. Everyone is being nice to her, she was given a place to stay and a job and she’s acting like a spoilt brat at times. However I acknowledge she is having a hard time, so I gave her some slack.
The warmth from Bentley towards Emma was lovely, and when Emma finally decided to have fun, the two of them were great together. The sex scenes were well written and not too obscene. I enjoyed the wit and smart comments from them both sparring back and forth.
If you love hunkalicious firemen who will risk their life to rescue a puppy from a burning building, Christmas Wish by Amanda Siegrist is for you. A sweet love story. Realistic. Slow burning. Two people hurting, healing, and falling in love.
I do love that sweet cover that Amanda designed herself.
The family had lost everything, but Mulberry people are the best. They will turn their frowns upside down, making it a Merry Christmas. His, not so much. He let HER get away.
Okay, now my mind;s working and I already plotted the ending. I just can’t help myself. Being predictable doesn’t bother me, it’s all about the journey.
Emma and Bentley, literally, bump into each other. I love Bentley’s thoughts the first time he meets and talks to her. And the thoughts he has…though he doesn’t go for sassy women. He likes them soft and cuddly. Emma also likes to play practical jokes. I am not one of those people. but knowing Amanda like I do, I look forward to seeing what she comes up with.
I enjoyed their verbal foreplay. It is fun and uplifting, which they both need. They sound like a couple of teenagers. It reminds me of me and Mr Wonderful. Neither one realizes, or at least wants to admits it, but they’re interested.
AHA!
Bentley is becoming a grownup, emotionally. He’s so cute and sweet. Emma’s hard as nails and I am lovin’ her, well, him too, the more I get to know him. I love when he meets her parents.
Amanda Siegrist’s writing is so good, she can take a romance and make me love it as much as my thrillers with the dead bodies everywhere and danger around every corner. The only danger here is heartbreak. I am fully invested in the characters outcome from their first meeting.
A hot chocolate martini? I’ll have one please.
Had me cracking up as ‘we’ sit at the bar drinking.
It was easy for me to like the characters and their story that has a ring of truth. No insta love, just slow burning attraction they slowly give into. Predictable, yet so sweet I love it.
I voluntarily reviewed a free copy of Christmas Wish by Amanda Siegrist.

I had really high hopes for this book but it very hard to believe. If you’ve read the other two books then you know how much of a crush Bentley had on Daphne. I mean he didn’t date at all because he was so much into her. I don’t want to say obsessed because it wasn’t that far but the whole town knew about it. This is why I found it very hard to believe. He meets Emma and then suddenly falls for her just like that. It’s hard to believe. Plus I had to really think who Emma was and even who her dad was. I really didn’t ever figure it out, I just keep reading hoping for a name or something to spark in my brain. It didn’t happen. I’m not sure other then her personality really drew Bentley to her. She was broke, homeless and still grieving the loss of her dad. I felt like this story moved fast, had gaps and really didn’t answer any of the questions I had. I love Bentley and probably always will. I mean he has the personality that you can’t just help but love. I just thought he could do better on the girl front.
Mistletoe Magic is a story that was not only sweet and steamy but had just enough angst and drama to keep you mesmerized right to the end. Aiden and Theresa were two people troubled by their pasts. At times I sat on the fence not sure whether to love or hate Officer Aiden Crowl but in the end love won out. Their story was like a well earned cup of coffee in the middle of the day. As Aiden and Theresa are drawn together by a sizzling chemistry, twists and turns won’t make their journey to happiness easy. A passionate holiday romance filled with drama, love and just a touch of magic to fill your heart completely.
Bentley has been secretly in love or maybe not so secretly in love with his high school girlfriend for years. She is getting married to someone else and he is upset. Emma recently lost her father and is down on her luck. She stops into town to give Elliot some of her father’s things, at least that is the excuse she uses. He isn’t really family but she feels like he is all the family she has left. Bentley and Emma spend most of their time in a verbal sparring match.
I think this is my least favorite of the 3 books in this series so far. Bentley is in love with a girl he dated for a few months years ago seemed pretty childish to me. If he had been in an adult relationship with her it wouldn’t have bothered me. I like Bentley and the fact he is such a good guy he ran back into a burning home to save a puppy. Easy read.
He thought he had been in love for years. Since actions speak volumes it says a lot that he never put himself out there, well not after the first time. Everyone knew what he thought was a secret only his best friend called him on it. Then Emma came to town. She showed him that everything he thought was wrong but now he’s gonna need to prove she has no reason to run, that he wont leave her like everyone else she loved. This battle isn’t an easy one since her history is close on her heels. But Bintley isn’t going to take any chances. His Christmas Wish will make sure she knows everything especially how important she is.
I love that this author doesn’t beat a dead horse by being repetitive or over loading us with too much angst. Emma is skittish but she’s got some fire when she needs it and she isn’t a push over, she just tends to let her flight instinct take over. It’s a great story that will have you in the holiday spirit for reals.
This was a wonderful Christmas story. It’s so touching and well written. I really enjoyed Emma and Bentley’s banter and watching them come together. This is the perfect book to get you in the Christmas spirit.
This was a great holiday read. It’s packed full of feels. Emma just grabs at your heart with her back story. all I kept thinking she deserves a HEA and family. Going to visit a long time family friend is the best life changing decision she made. I loved Bentley. I loved how Emma challenged him and made him realize some things about himself. It’s a beautiful holiday read that will get you right in to the Christmas spirit. I highly recommend this one.
Ready for your favorite holiday read this season? I loved this book. It had the feels a Christmas novel should have. There is an independent and strong woman who really is hurt and needs someone to show her real love. There is a sexy and sweet firefighter that is deserving of true love. A small town of people who band together as a family. And all the magic the Christmas season has to offer. I couldn’t put this book down. It had me gripped from page one until the end. I found myself totally engulfed in the love story of Emma and Bentley. This is book three in the series but can be read as a standalone. This was my first book to read in this series. I can’t wait to read the previous two. The characters that those books contain are in this story and I fell in love with them right away. I can’t wait to learn their origins.
I highly recommend this book to all romance fans, especially holiday romance obsessors like myself. Curl up with a cozy blanket and a cup of hot cocoa and get lost in this enchanting and majorly fun story.
Emma arrives into town looking for her father’s friend, Elliot. She feels lost, alone, irritated and annoyed with everyone and everything. Homeless and needing money, she accepts Elliot and Lynn’s hospitality by staying at their house for the holidays. It’s hard for her to find any kind of happiness when she’s always been hit with bad luck and people leaving. She’s bitter and has no intentions of staying and making friends. Unfortunately, Bentley didn’t get that message as he tries to get her to go out with him. He knows under her icy exterior, she’s hurting and he wants to help her. She has no problem saying no to him, but eventually he wears her down. Just when he starts breaking through her thick walls, she feels betrayed and lied to when she finds out he kept something from her.
This was a great holiday read, book 3 in the series. Characters from the previous books make appearances. Looking forward to the next one!
I love Emma and Bentley and really enjoyed their story. It’s fun and romantic with some twists to keep things interesting.
A perfect Christmas read! Emma has had a very rough time of it lately and she’s just trying to get through the holidays. Bentley would love a romantic partner of his own but he can’t seem to stop obsessing over someone he can’t have, until he sets his sights on Emma. So many wonderful characters, I was hooked from the very beginning! Highly recommend!
Emma is on her last leg, she’s out of money and has no place to go. She decides to find Elliot, a man she used to consider an adoptive Uncle. While she hasn’t seen him in years, she’s desperate. While she has no plans to stay in town, he has other plans. Between him and his wife Lynn, they know there’s more going on than what Emma leads on.
Enter Bentley, the sexy fireman who Emma cannot stand, he’s cocky and he’s pining for a woman that won’t have him. While Emma is trying her hardest to stay away from him, he just keeps popping up where she is, loving the feistiness that is signature Emma.
Emma was really hard to like at first because her walls were just so high up, so thick, that her stubbornness, her amount of loathing was just too much. We have walls up for a reason, and Bentley is intent on breaking them down. Because it would be all too easy for Emma to run, to leave town and the people that care for her, but she doesn’t see it, she doesn’t want to, her self-esteem and repeated let downs stand in the way.
This is the only series I haven’t read of Siegrist, and while it is completely a standalone novel, I do want to go back and read the first two books, because I loved Lynn and I want to meet her from the beginning. I adore this little community that pulls together when people need it. I liked the easy banter that flows in the dialogue and I like Bentley’s drive to get Emma to break down her walls. Christmas Wish is the perfect feel-good, HEA Holiday read just in time for Christmas.
A heartwarming Christmas story. Amanda Siegrist is a talented author and you can tell. She paints a perfect picture of a small town at Christmas. I loved Bentley and Emma!
The holiday season is full of twinkling lights, presents, cookies and good wishes. Everyone is happy, busy and full of excitement and it is hard to find a reason to be sad and lonely. Who wouldn’t enjoy this magical time?
Emma is still reeling from her father’s death and is very bitter that he left her alone. She is sad, depressed and unsure of where her life will take her. She doesn’t have a job, has very little money, and all of her possessions are in her beat up car. She decided to visit an old friend of her father’s who was like an uncle to her when she was a child. She wasn’t sure what to expect from him or the quaint little town, but she was certain she would have another miserable Christmas. Nothing or no one could possibly change her attitude about life and love.
Bentley is a brave and hardworking firefighter who wants to share his life with someone special. He had a crush on his old high school girlfriend but she was getting married and that has put a damper on his holiday spirit. That all changed when he met Emma. She might be feisty and opinionated but there was something about her that has lit a fire inside of him that he wants to explore.
Do Bentley and Emma heat up the cold winter nights or does the holiday spirit disappear from their hearts?
This is a wonderful holiday story of a young couple who have a lot of love to give and they just needed the right person to share it with. Bentley had to be patient with Emma and she had to trust that his feelings for her were genuine. Emma found her home with Bentley that also came with many new friends, and she finally had a reason to be happy at Christmas.
