It’s supposed to be the wedding of Lisa’s dreams: the picturesque ski town of Emerson Pass, Colorado, her closest family and very best friends, and the love of her life waiting for her at the altar. But when the mother of the groom sets out to rid her son, Rafael, of a family marriage curse before the big day, it seems that all of her best efforts do nothing but keep the curse alive. And when the … the mother of the bride drops a bombshell on her daughter the night before the ceremony, it seems the wedding Lisa has always wanted may never become a reality.
Join the Wolves and their lovely ladies in snowy Colorado for this sweet, suspenseful installment of USA Today bestselling author Tess Thompson’s much beloved Cliffside Bay Series. But please note that unlike the other books in the series, Christmas Wedding is not a standalone and is intended to be enjoyed after reading Missed: Rafael & Lisa.

I cried and wished i was there. This family of friends is what i dream about everyday. Everyone needs to read this wonderful book.
Sweet story of Rafael and Lisa’s wedding weekend with a little extra romance, with a different lovable character, thrown in to make it even better.
A wedding that changes several lives!
What starts out as “whatever can go wrong, will go wrong” quickly turns into “the right things happen for the right reasons.” It’s a wonderful time, and if you’ve been following the events in Cliffside Bay, you don’t want to miss this special novella.
Everyone that matters is in Emerson, Colorado for Rafael and Lisa’s wedding. For Lisa, it’s a chance to finally confront her mother; for Mama Soto, it’s time to start a new chapter in her life. For others, it’s a chance to come into their own and embark on the lives they were always meant to live.
The toasts at the rehearsal dinner are the best part of this story, though the entire trip is magically unforgettable. Family bonds are tested and grow stronger, and the significance of such a gathering is not lost on any of the participants. There’s even a new, unexpected romance blossoming in the middle of it all. Its events fall right in between those of “Healed” and “Scarred.” I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
It’s a sweet story of Rafael and Lisa’s wedding from the Cliffside Bay Series… which is a wonderful Series…. Nothing like a Christmas Wedding, what could go wrong? You’ll have to read it to find out…
What could be better than a Christmas wedding? This is Lisa’s dream come true or is it? Trouble seems to blow in on the heels of Lisa’s parents. After dropping major news the day before the wedding, will Lisa want to continue with the wedding? Come join the residents of Cliffside Bay for love, guilt, forgiveness and family.
****I received an ARC for my review****
Thank you for sharing this ARC with me in exchange for my honest review. I jumped in quickly to read this story as I am a true fan of Cliffside Bay and all those who live there, as well as I was anxiously awaiting the wedding of Rafael and Lisa. The true life experiences bring unexpected twists and turns into the story. New characters are introduced that I can’t wait to discover more about in future books of this series. The emotions expressed at the end of the book actually brought tears to my eyes. I am so looking forward to your next release. Your books are amazing!
Cliffside Bay characters in a beautiful Christmas story about love….
Lisa a beautiful actress is engaged to her body guard Raphael. Lisa’s best friends Pepper and Maggie are once again at her side. Several years prior Lisa read about the Colorado town with the cute church in the mountains in a magazine. She expressed her dream to her best friends about someday having a Christmas Wedding in that quaint mountain town and in that picturesque church. Pepper and Maggie helped her remember her dream wedding after she got engaged. Lisa’s mother was very controlling and had a different idea for her daughters wedding. Lisa could not handle her mother and certainly did not want her mothers wedding.
Stone the best man and Pepper came to the rescue and went to the Colorado town and planned the wedding. During that weekend while making the plans Stone and Pepper were snowed in a cabin. It was a magical time that was unexpected and they found true love together.
Now all the wedding party, friends and families are in the Colorado town for the wedding and most of them are staying at the cabin. Lisa’s parents announce the day before the wedding their shocking news. Lisa is hurt by the news and the hurtful words her mother said to her. Will the wedding go on? Who else finds love in this magical cabin in the Colorado mountains?
I finished the Christmas Wedding with tears flowing from eyes with “A Thousand Years” playing on Pandora… I love this beautiful story SO much! I’m in Awe of you, Tess Thompson…. truely. Tess Thomson’s Cliffside Bay Series is one of my favorite, so to have a Christmas story featuring 2 of the characters is a delight!
Christmas Wedding: Lisa and Rafael,
This short Christmas story was a great fix for my longing for the next Cliffside Bay book by Tess Thompson. The story is a follow up story for the last two books released. The books don’t have to be read in order, but this one, I would recommend reading after Healed: Stone and Pepper. The author does a good job in all of her books in keeping the reader caught up on parts they may have missed but since this is such a short story, it is best if read in order.
The story takes place at Christmas in a small town in Colorado. I know, it is not Christmas time yet, but it is a nice break from a hot busy summer! I loved the wedding and the new characters who were introduced in this book, and I am sure we will see them again in our favorite Beach town, Cliffside Bay.
As with all weddings, this one has romance and a little drama. What wedding doesn’t come with a little family drama? Don’t wait for the cold weather to return to pick up this book and read it. Get you Christmas fix in July!
Such a sweet novella! The story is set around Lisa and Rafael’s wedding in a winter wonderland. But, mama Soto is muy caliente with a romance of her own! The entire Cliffside Bay series is intertwined with great friends and tight knit families. The dogs and wolves love the wags with all their hearts! This is a fast, easy read that is sure to put a smile on your face.
A lovely story about Rafael and Lisa’s dream wedding held in snowy Colorado during the Christmas season! We first followed this couple’s falling in love story in Missed, a previous book in the wonderful Cliffside Bay series. This author, Tess Thompson, has such an extraordinary way with words; reading this book you can visualize it all, and feel you are experiencing this beautiful weekend with Rafael and Lisa and their friends and family. There’s much happiness and friendship in this little story, as well as a hint of love in the air for a very unexpected and deserving person! I enjoy this series so much; Christmas Wedding was like the icing on the cake for this beautiful series, which I highly recommend!
I knew once I started this book, that I wasn’t going to sleep until I finished the book. What a great read with some surprises that made me happy and sad at the same time. Any book that can make me feel sorry for someone that I really don’t like, is a good book.
This is Rafael and Lisa’s wedding story, but we get to see all the rest of the crew. It’s a chance to see if all of Stone and Pepper’s planning pans out, but events throughout had me wondering at times if the wedding was going to happen as planned. There is also new romance that I’m looking to reading more of in future Cliffside Bay books.
My only complaint is that it was over way too soon. I’m eagerly looking forward to the next book in the series.
I absolutely loved this book!
It was wonderful that Lisa and Raphael finally got the wedding they wanted! There was some family drama but they made it through and had a beautiful Christmas wedding! Mama Soto may have found a love interest! We will have to wait and see it all work out! Once again Tess has given us another fantastic Cliffside Bay story!
What a sweet treat to be brought back to Cliffside Bay for some holiday magic. This story follows Rafael and Lisa as they head to Colorado for their wedding. It is a beautiful way for us to catch up with everyone and remember how the Lake House has magic all of it’s own!
Another great Cliffside Bay story that takes place in Colorado – Lisa & Rafael are finally getting married! This novella is a sweet story takes you through all of the wonderful family dynamics (good and bad) that tend to exist in many families. Although Lisa’s mom drops a bombshell before the wedding – love is definitely in the air in this book! This book is intended to be read after Healed: Stone & Pepper.
Thank you Tess for the ARC of Cliffiside Bay Christmas Wedding!
This was just what I needed to get my Cliffside Bay kick! It was almost like reading the inside workings of the characters that you are always left wondering about. I loved the honesty and rawness of this book, showing you once again that there is love and happiness after hurt and tragedy. Another home run for Tess Thompson!

Tess has yet again brought us a beautiful story from Cliffside Bay . I don’t read many Christmas books this time of year but this year i am doing Christmas in July.
Christmas Wedding is beautifully written story of Lisa and Raphael. This story touched my heart so much. I love Tess’s writing style and the fact she writes good clean romances. The book starts off with Mama Soto. ( Raphael mom ) Lord she had me laughing so much with her Marriage Curse Cures . Lisa is indeed going to have a wonderful mother- n – law. I loved all of the characters and can not wait to read Cliffside Bay Series in order. So be on the look out more reviews of this series coming soon. Through out the book i was hoping Mama Soto would find love . And maybe just maybe she does. Hopefully in the future we will get her story.
Stone and Pepper ( I just love their names ) arrange for the wedding to take place in the town of Emerson Pass Colorado . A place Lisa had dreamed of for her perfect wedding . Lisa’s mom ( the only character in the whole book i did not like ) dropped a HUGE bombshell the night before the wedding . Will Lisa and Raphael still get married or will this bombshell stop the wedding ? I guess you will have to read the book to find out.
Even though this is a short quick read it is packed with so much. It is a must read ! I highley recommend this book and suggest you start with Book 1 in the Cliffside Bay Series. I promise once you set foot in this town you will never want to leave.
As with any Book you read PLEASE LEAVE A REVIEW on places like Amazon and Goodreads. Something as simple as I loved the book will work. Reviews is what keeps writers writing these amazing story’s for us.
I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. This review is my own opinion.
I usually enjoy reading Christmas stories during the correct season, however I have been waiting for this one and was delighted to read it in July! Tess Thompson is one of my favorite authors and her Cliffside Bay series is absolutely wonderful!
I loved the intimate setting for the wedding, with snow swirling around outside for Lisa and Rafael. Their friends Stone and Pepper were able to arrange a destination wedding for them that Lisa had dreamed of all of her life. It was so romantic and intimate that It took my breath away.
It also seems like another new relationship has started to blossom unexpectedly and another relationship is ending. True to life characters make this book so warm and inviting, along with challenges along the way, this was a very delightful book.
I enjoyed this romantic story so much Tess! Thank you for writing it and for allowing me to read an arc of this book. I gave it a big well deserved 5 stars!
I was given the opportunity to read this book for an honest review. It was a short, but sweet visit with our Cliffside Bay friends. I really enjoyed the wedding of Lisa and Rafael, and the interaction between Mama Soto and Dominick.
A short & sweet addition to the Cliffside Bay series
Usually, reading a Cliffside Bay Book is like taking a vacation with friends-you get to catch up on what everyone is into, hear some great stories, maybe meet a new friend. This novella is no different! A must read for any fan of The a Wolves & Wags. Take a long weekend, and cool off on Colorado for Lisa & Rafael’s wedding. You won’t be sorry!
