A little boy’s impossible wish sparks the magic missing in Ryleigh’s holiday. Join her in Tuscany for a heartwarming holiday story of hope and the healing power of love…and prepare to leave your heart in the stunning vineyards of Italy. Ryleigh Collins isn’t fond of surprises, and when Logan Cavanaugh’s resort business takes them overseas to the heart of Tuscany for Christmas, she leaves … leaves forty-four years of tradition behind to spend their first holiday together on the other side of the world.
Her only wish is to celebrate Christmas with the man she adores renovating the vineyard’s two-hundred-year-old villa, host an Italian Christmas Eve party for the Casa sul Vigneto Resort employees, and wait for her son to arrive from Tokyo.
But an ill-timed phone call unravels what’s left of her Christmas spirit, and when a little boy appears with a startling Christmas wish, Ryleigh discovers their ancient villa is home to more than crumbling walls and bursting pipes, and her holiday plans take a haunting turn.
Logan is determined to find out who the little boy is, but when he fails to return from the village, it sets in motion a string of events that threaten to shatter their holiday. Ryleigh must let go of the past and hold on to hope–for Logan’s sake and the boy she calls Little Boy Blue–keys to a future she dares not wish for.
There’s magic in the water and love in the air, but sometimes it’s not Santa but the spirit of Christmas who makes wishes come true.
Buon Natale!
Join Ryleigh and Logan in Italy for a Christmas sure to lift your spirits.
A stand-alone novel in the Whisper of the Pines series

Christmas Under the Tuscan Stars book 5 in the Whisper of the Pines Series by Susan Haught is a very sweet Christmas Romance. It comes packed with everything to leave your heart happy with holiday feels! Even though this is book 5 in the series it can be read as a standalone, but reading in order will help you get to know of all the characters. Susan Haught writes a wonderful story which drew me right in, making me forget everything else and did not let me go until I turned the last page. I am looking forward to reading more from this author.
Ryleigh and Logan are two of my favorite romance couples, so I was excited to meet up with them again, this time in Tuscany for the Christmas holiday. Their story is timeless, poignant, and beautiful, both having suffered tremendous loss before finding each other. They found their HEA in A Promise of Fireflies and we catch up with them about a year later.
When Wentworth-Cavanaugh Properties purchases a Tuscan villa for their next resort property, Logan sees a perfect opportunity for a getaway with Ryleigh. But Ryleigh rolls up her sleeves, working together with Logan to see the villa renovated and planning a holiday party for the employees. As more things fall in disrepair, they plan to fill in the old wishing well, despite the legend attached to it. That plan changes when Ryleigh meets a boy that only she can see.
With an element of the supernatural, a touch of mystery and kissed with magic, this story will enchant you from the very first page, and you’ll find Ryleigh and Logan have stolen your heart by the end. These poetic, moving words will touch your heart and stir your soul with their abiding messages. Here’s just a taste:
“You’re the reason I want to make every moment count, for God only knows the number of our days.”
“Sometimes life surprises us and love lasts a lifetime.”
“Loving you has healed something I thought irreparable.”
“You’ve proven extraordinary exists in the ordinary.”
That last one is my favorite because it’s a reminder to look for those small, everyday miracles, but don’t these just reach deep inside and squeeze your heart? And fair warning, your heart will never be the same once Ryleigh and Logan’s story becomes a part of you. If you haven’t read their first book you’ll follow things in this book easily enough, but once you meet this couple you’ll want more. Deeper and more profound than many contemporary romances, Ryleigh and Logan’s story is one you won’t want to pass up!
A romantic Christmas story set in a villa and vineyard in Tuscany. Ryleigh has finally let go of her painful past and is enjoying preparing for Christmas with her true love, Logan. Good to read about an older heroine, enjoyed the dash of mystery and also the way the author describes the friendships of the characters. This is a heartwarming read guaranteed to get you in the Christmas spirit!
Christmas Under the Tuscan Stars is a heartwarming, feel-good holiday read. Susan Haught delivers both laughter and tears, along with plenty of food for thought topped with a dollop of intrigue. The novel continues the story of Ryleigh and Logan, the couple featured in Haught’s debut, A Promise of Fireflies.Seeing what they’re up to now is like catching up with old friends … old friends who are spending Christmas in an Italian villa with a magic wishing well and a small but friendly ghost. Don’t miss this one.
Christmas Under the Tuscan Stars is a romantic and sweet conclusion of Ryleigh and Jordan’s story which can easily be read as a standalone, but I recommend to also read the first book in this series to have more background details about both their lives before they meet.
The legend of the wishing well and Little Boy Blue gave the book a bit of a spiritual and otherworldly feeling, which I love.
The story is beautifully written and full of sentimental touches that are heartwarming any time of the year, but make this a perfect book to read during the holiday season.
Christmas Under the Tuscan Stars is the first book I have read by Susan Haught.
While I really enjoyed the Logan and Ryleight’s story, it was not what I was expecting.
It is a sweet holiday story that I will want to reread during the Christmas to put me in the mood.

There was a lot to this story. I really enjoyed reading a romance for characters that are in middle age. The characters were well developed and it really took all aspects for a 2nd marriage intricacies into consideration. A great story that was very realistic.

I have such mixed feelings about this book! While it had a wonderful storyline, a lot of romance, warm and fuzzy feelings, and beautiful, flowery and poetic language from what is obviously a very talented author, which I enjoyed immensely the first half of the book, by the time I got into the second half, it was becoming tedious to read through so much descriptive narrative, to the point that I just wanted to get to the end of the story. As far as characters, there were so many to keep up with that I found myself wondering, “Now who is this person?” Maybe it would have helped if I had read the previous books in this series. The main characters had complicated and complex pasts and personalities. I liked Ryleigh and her friend Audrey, but I absolutely LOVED Logan! What woman wouldn’t? He was so romantic in his gestures and his dialogue that it took me out of the story because he was SO PERFECT and unrealistic that I kept saying to myself, “What man ever talks like that, and what woman in her right mind could resist all that perfectness?” (like Ryleigh seemed to be able to do until the very end) I was extremely pleased with the ending, but for two very different reasons. One, that it ended beautifully, with sweet happiness, and the other, that I FINALLY got to the end! I will at some point possibly go back and read other books in this series, but not anytime soon. It was way too much work for me to take up another one for some time!

Christmas Under the Tuscan Stars, is an wounded story. It had twist and turns that I was not expecting. I love how Logan and Ryleigh progresses through the book.

Christmas Under the Tuscan Stars #5 – This is my first read by this author and I should have read the previous book that contained Ri and Logan’s beginnings. I found her too much with her garbage and baggage. She does not want him to tell her what to do but she makes continuous demands on him, without a please.
Logan and the other characters were well done. I like the Little Boy Blue addition to the story. The more I read my boredom with Ri increased. Added to Miss Eejit, there was too much redundancies making the story longer than necessary. What started out an interesting
story became a disappointment around the end of his hospital stay.
Maybe reading the beginning of their relationship may have changed my poor opinion of Miss Selfish, but there is still the redundant parts.
I found this book on Booksprout. 3*
