A little boy’s impossible wish sparks the magic missing in Ryleigh’s holiday. Join her in Tuscany for a heartwarming holiday story of hope and the healing power of love…and prepare to leave your heart in the stunning vineyards of Italy. Ryleigh Collins isn’t fond of surprises, and when Logan Cavanaugh’s resort business takes them overseas to the heart of Tuscany for Christmas, she leaves … leaves forty-four years of tradition behind to spend their first holiday together on the other side of the world.
Her only wish is to celebrate Christmas with the man she adores renovating the vineyard’s two-hundred-year-old villa, host an Italian Christmas Eve party for the Casa sul Vigneto Resort employees, and wait for her son to arrive from Tokyo.
But an ill-timed phone call unravels what’s left of her Christmas spirit, and when a little boy appears with a startling Christmas wish, Ryleigh discovers their ancient villa is home to more than crumbling walls and bursting pipes, and her holiday plans take a haunting turn.
Logan is determined to find out who the little boy is, but when he fails to return from the village, it sets in motion a string of events that threaten to shatter their holiday. Ryleigh must let go of the past and hold on to hope–for Logan’s sake and the boy she calls Little Boy Blue–keys to a future she dares not wish for.
There’s magic in the water and love in the air, but sometimes it’s not Santa but the spirit of Christmas who makes wishes come true.
Buon Natale!
Join Ryleigh and Logan in Italy for a Christmas sure to lift your spirits.
A stand-alone novel in the Whisper of the Pines series

I read this way out of order as this is the first one I’ve read. So consequently I’m at a loss and a bit confused at some of the story line. Ryleigh and Logan are together and in Italy. The fact that Logan is/was a minister and living with her with no doubt as to their relationship is a bit disconcerting for me. As is why he is a well off CEO & why he’s no longer a minister.
There is mystery, some supernatural, and the brokenness of both Ryleigh & Logan in the story. It will draw you in but would be better if you’d at least read book one.
This is my first book in this series. I highly recommend you should start at the beginning of the series. This books is very thorough and well written. It features very realistic characters and life. There is a supernatural element. A wonderful novel of love and family.

What could be more romantic than spending Christmas in Italy? This is the first book in this series, Whisper of the Pines, that I have read so I was not familiar with Logan and Ryleigh. It seems they both have found a love with each other that has helped them overcome their past losses.
I was intrigued with their renovation of the villa in Tuscany and the legend about the wishing well where Ryleigh met a little boy she named, Little Boy Blue. When she tries to get Logan to see the little boy he has disappeared which adds to the mystery of whether or not he is real. He seems to give hope to Ryleigh at a time she really needs it so she can get through the holidays away from home and away from her son who works in Tokyo and cannot get away for the holidays this year
This is also the first book I have read by Susan Haught. I enjoyed her style and loved the descriptions of Italy and the villa. I now need to read the other books in this series. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review..
Would YOU like to spend Christmas in Tuscany?

This is an unusual Christmas spent in Tuscany renovating an old villa from Logan Cavanaugh’s family. Logan and Ryleigh bring us along with them. You can close your eyes and vividly imagine yourself there! While this is not the first book about this couple, it brings them alive in new ways. The best aspect of the book (to me) is Italy, Tuscany in particular.
Worth the read, and go back in the series to find out more!

Christmas Under the Tuscan Stars is about Ryleigh Collins and Logan Cavanaugh, the couple who found their HEA in Susan Haught’s previous book, A Promise of Fireflies.
They travel to the Tuscany Region of Italy where Logan’s company is opening a resort to add to the other exclusive properties as well as renovating an old villa for their personal use when they come to Italy. The story takes place leading up to Christmas. Ryleigh and Logan are busy planning a party for the employees of the resort when some strange occurences begin to take place. According to the village residents, ithe occurences are related to a magical well on the villa’s property and holds an ancient spell.
There is romance, happiness, sadness, intrigue, a touch of the supernatural and always love. The love of family, friends and the true love Ryleigh and Logan hold for one another.
Susan Haught writes her prose as if it is poetry. You can feel her characters emotions come through the pages. I love her writing and this book! Christmas Under the Tuscan Stars will bring a touch of romance and Christmas to you. A timeless Christmas story.

We meet up again with Ryleigh and Logan from A PROMISE OF FIREFLIES. This a continuation of their story and takes place a year later in Tuscany. Lots of drama and emotional issues to overcome before they finally get to the HEA. I would suggest that you read these two books in order to get the complete story
Tis the season for gift giving and this author has given her readers a superb novel through here storytelling. This is the story of Logan and Ryleigh. It takes place in Tuscany where magic seems to surround the characters. This is a sweet read with wonderful characters. The author has gone to significant effort to make them believable and developed them fully. This is a story of finding joy in just living every day. A few ghosts along the way keeps the story interesting. This is one book you will want to read if you need a boost of Christmas spirit. While it is a stand alone story, the reader would benefit from reading her previous novels.
Ryleigh and Logan are in Italy for Christmas – he’s renovating a villa, and she’s planning a party for the employees. Ryleigh misses her Christmas traditions, and her son, but she making the best of the time with Logan. She sees a little boy making a wish for his sister and her health, but only she can see him. When they unravel the mystery of who he is, she has to make some decisions about what she wants for Christmas. I knew this book is part of a series, but assumed that it’s a standalone. I feel like I missed a good part of understanding the relationship between Ryleigh and Logan, and had some trouble getting into the story. Once I started to figure it out, it turned out to quite a nice story.

The 5th book in Susan Haught’s Whisper of the Pines series finds Ryleigh and Logan traveling to Tuscany for Christmas. This is a romantic Christmas story with a bit of mystery to keep things interesting. This is another great book y Susan Haught just in time for The holidays.

A well written perfectly paced story pulling you in from the start. A standalone read in the series, this one about Logan and Ryleigh and the struggles they both go through. And Italy as a back drop and a vineyard you cannot put the book down.
Heart warming, romantic, and full of spirits of both varieties. Renovating an older villa on a vineyard can be an experience, especially when it comes with a legend. A perfect reader the holidays,

Christmas Under the Tuscan Stars (Whisper of the Pines 05) by Susan Haught is a continuation of Ryleigh Collins’ life. Now at Christmas she is in Tuscany, not exactly what she had wanted, being a person of tradition.
The story has Ryleigh experiencing the usual angst and emotional drama in her life that has always been in these stories. It also has a haunting of sorts that is not so usual. This time there is also a cat, along with subplots and interesting characters, past and present that keep this story rolling.
Not sure that this is a complete stand-alone, reading of this book might be enhanced if the previous books especially the first had been read. Fans of the series will love the book. New readers will become fans.
The publisher/author gave me a complimentary ARC of the book which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Book five in the Whisper of the Pines series a beautiful story of love, trust, believing, and letting go of the past. Ryleigh Michelle Endicott Collins, Logan Wentworth Cavanaugh, and their friends, family, and ghosts story. “Villa Sotto le Stelle Toscane,” “It means Villa under the Tuscan stars.” and is one of the things Logan says to Ryleigh, there are so many sayings in this book that captured my attention. This is a must read story. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This was funny and sexy older couple Christmas romance. I loved the idea of staying in a villa in Tuscany for Christmas and all the secrets with the magical well. But I wouldn’t have wanted to deal with the crumpling structure, the spotty water and electricity, and the ghost.
A touching Christmas book.. I really enjoyed this story and can’t wait to read the prior ones in the series to better connect everything. Well developed characters and the description of the country is amazing Thank you Booksprout and Susan Haught.
Even though this is book 5 in a series, it can be read as a stand alone book and the reader won’t be too lost. If you want to know more of the background on other characters in the book, it’s helpful to read the previous books in the series. It’s a sweet Christmas time romance that leaves your heart happy and full of all the holiday feels. The author has done a great job of captivating the reader in the story and letting them escape everyday life within the pages. Will definitely read more from this author.

Ryleigh and Logan are spending Christmas in Italy where Logan is renovating an old villa, combining business with the pleasure of celebrating Christmas together. Ryleigh really wants to bring some of her past with her to the villa, but this just isn’t happening for her. Deeply disappointed, but determined to forge ahead with a happy holiday with Logan, Ryleigh starts seeing and talking to a little boy. When the young boy disappears and Logan soon follows, Ryleigh has to follow her heart to find her true love and what she really wants this Christmas. This was a quick romance to read and a lot of fun to read as well. I enjoyed the sprinkling of Italian in the book, especially since I could understand most of it because I know Spanish. The characters were well-developed and portrayed in a realistic manner. I wanted to be Ryleigh, celebrating Christmas in Tuscany! Although this includes characters from previous books, this was the first book by this author that I have read and I had no problems understanding the story or empathizing with the characters. Fans of contemporary romance with a little paranormal will enjoy this book.

Love in a Tuscan Villa
A billionaire and the finding of a second in a lifetime, forever love! This is the 5th book in the series and ties up so many plot lines. I have no idea if this is the final book, but it could be. This is a satisfying ending if it is to be the last. This author paints lovely word pictures and expresses sentiment very well. Mental time travel is a given while reading her books. Her descriptions of Italy has me smelling the odors and tasting the food. Great trick! While I enjoyed the story, there were many times that I wished the story would just hurry up. That is unusual for me. I received this ARC book for free from Net Galley and this is my honest review.
This is the first book that I have read in this series. It was not what I thought it was going to be however the more I read, the more I liked it. Susan Haught is an excellent author that will get anyone in the Christmas mood with her books. There was laughter and tears throughout the story. I hope to read more from this author in the near future.

Lush and evocative. That’s how I would describe author Susan Haught’s fifth book in her Whisper of the Pines series. Also a Christmas story, set in Tuscany, the reader is transported to the Italian countryside, no passport required.
Even though the characters aren’t new to the series, you still get the full measure of each of them, fully rounded and in depth. I loved not only the two main characters, Ryleigh and Logan, but all of the supporting characters as well.
If you dream of a romantic getaway in the lovely Tuscan hills, this story is for you. But remember, everything comes with a price and nothing is ever perfect the first time around. Be ready for an awesome twist and some emotional ups and downs. Even so, you won’t regret diving into this story. Have some tissues handy!
