Christmas on Cape Cod by Nan Rossiter
Cute story of a father and his girlfriend and his young son as they head to the shouse on the cape for the Christmas holiday.
The little boy has lost his first father but has another one now. Love how they celebrate the holiday on the Cape and the surprises that await them under the tree.
Miss having a morning with young kids-it’s a lot different than watching them via the internet. Like how this story continues with other family members in another book by this author.
Received this review copy from Kensington Books via Zebra at Netgalley and this is my honest opinion.
Nan Rossiter is a new author to me but not for long after reading Christmas in Cape Cod I will certainly be checking out other books by this author. I love Christmas and this story is about family and friends coming together to celebrate the holidays.
Asa Coleman has planned Christmas with his young son in Cape Cod and he invites his best friend Maddie Carlson to join them. Asa has only just found out Noah is his son and with this being their first Christmas as a family he wants it to be perfect and it just felt right for Maddie to be there with them to help start making new family traditions.
Christmas is a magical season and the magic certainly happens in this quick sweet magical read, the setting for this story is beautiful and the characters adorable and for it was a perfect holiday read. Looking forward to reading more from this author.
What’s not to love? It’s the most magical time of the year and also happens to be my most favourite holiday. I love any story that is cantered around Christmas; it’s a time for family and friends to get together and celebrate life.
This was a fun, quick read and one I thoroughly enjoyed. I liked Nan Rossiter’s style of writing and felt as though I was a part of the magic of Cape Cod.
Sometimes you can’t see the wood for the trees. Single, Asa Coleman is learning to be a dad to his son Noah with the help of his best friend Maddie Carlson. Maddie is in love with Asa but he has no clue.
I did feel as though I was missing their back story, their history and found out after reading that these characters first appeared in The Gin & Chowder Club so perhaps in hindsight I would read that book first. Don’t get me wrong it was enjoyable but it would have been even more so if I had read it.
As Asa, Maddie, Noah and Asa’s parents begin the Christmas celebrations, Asa is desperate for his first Christmas with Noah to be unforgettable. Full of family traditions, This was a festive and sweet story that will get you in the mood for the holiday season.
Cape Cod sounds like a beautiful place to live or visit and I found this story to be full of hope, love and family; of strength and determination and all in all a heart warming read.
I received a copy of this book through the publisher via Netgalley.
