A Stirring and Heart-Touching Story!
A reader who has enjoyed my stay in Christmas Town for the entire series, I hope Book 8 is not a final farewell, but only a hiatus.
From the very first page of ‘Christmas Miracle on Christmas Day,’ the author takes the reader by surprise. Things are not what they may seem at first glance, but understandably so, given Charlotte’s unresolved issue.
As well, Jack wouldn’t be himself if he didn’t act on impulse without consulting Charlotte, leaving him to wonder where he stands on the brink of their wedding ceremony.
The author’s knack for cinematic storytelling transports the reader to every scene alongside each memorable character. I highly recommend this stirring and heart-touching story that stays with you long after the last page has been turned.
Charlotte is delightful as in most of the stories. Jack is a bit chevalier: making decisions, again, without including Charlotte. The situation with Ryan seems outlandish. Perhaps it will work out for everyone, but it put a damper on the story for me.
I received a copy of this book as a gift. This is my honest review.
This short book is a very fitting end to Gauthier’s ‘Christmas Miracle’ romantic novella series. It is an enjoyable and heartwarming story that draws together the loose threads of the story of Jack and Charlotte, although not without Jack still managing to endanger their relationship even as everything appears to be pointing toward a happy future together.
In keeping with the rest of the series, the overall tone is lighthearted and positive. It is easily read in under an hour, so it fits well into the reading schedule of busy people.
The Christmas Miracle Series
The Christmas Miracle Series are a group of short stories concerning a man discovering love and his adaption to the changes that love brings to his life. The stories are interesting and quickly read, although I would have preferred a complete book. On Easter has a cliffhanger ending, but by this book’s release, the reader knows there’s more to the story yet to come. I contacted the author to review her books.
Christmas Miracle In July #1 – An interesting little story set in Christmas Town. I didn’t know what the story was about, but it drew me in and kept me interested until the end. I liked the characters and the reason for the story. This author hasn’t disappointed me with any of her books.
Christmas Miracle On Valentine’s Day #2 – This story continues where In July ended. The story continues with Jack’s acceptance to the changes in his life. The characters grow and the plot is interesting and has a lot of humor in it.
Christmas Miracle On Easter #3 – Oh, no. It’s not exactly a cliffhanger, but it is; there’s more to the story. This story continues where On Valentine’s Day ended. Jack is still growing and accepting all the changes still coming with open arms; even the yucky ones. More of the characters are involved with their lives adding to Jack’s.
Christmas Miracle On Memorial Day #4 – A lovely “ending” to CMOEaster. A beautiful wedding and forgiveness and a sad surprise, but a heartwarming, well-written story told from Jack’s point of view. A nice book to read during a coffee break or a relaxing break.
Christmas Miracle on the Fourth of July #5 – Begins one year after he first arrived in Christmas Town and picks up in July, after the Memorial Day wedding, with preparations for the Fourth. The characters are still interesting, along with the storylines. There may be a bit of intrigue in the future for the P.I. I contacted the author to review her books. 4*
Christmas Miracle on Halloween #6 – The intrigue is now an investigation into a car accident possibly being a murder. Another quickly read, interesting story that follows his discoveries of the seasonal traditions, this time Halloween, and the characters that make Christmas Town special. I contacted the author to review her books. 4*
Christmas Miracle on Thanksgiving #7 – This picks up the week before Thanksgiving and remains a quickly read, interesting story with good, likeable characters. The woes that began at Halloween between him and her reach breakup and he tries to win her back. I contacted the author to review her books. She cleans up some of the previous storylines for her part. I contacted the author to review her books. 4*
Christmas Miracle on Christmas Day #8 – This pickups on Christmas Day. There’s a kink to the day and she gets her tail over her shoulder. All the storylines are finished and so ends the journey of Jack and Charlotte. I contacted the author to review her books. 4*
The Christmas Miracle Series end.
Overview: As our happy couple finally reach their big day, and are ready to celebrate their impending nuptials, another one of Jack’s secret plans threatens to derail the entire wedding.
Author RM Gauthier writes another heartwarming yet tense tale in “Christmas Miracle on Christmas Day” when she expands on Jack’s charitable but unpredictable nature and Charlotte’s fear of sudden changes. With her main protagonists’ lives already having already been threatened by hidden secrets and distrust, one wouldn’t think there would be a huge twist in this chapter of the Christmas Miracle Series… And, there is!
Gauthier expertly heightens the suspense in this story—totally shocking readers—when Jack, who is totally thrilled to finally be getting married to Charlotte, suddenly turns both of their lives completely upside-down by tossing a giant wrench into their future plans—Oh, and did I mention that he does so on their wedding day?!
Fans of the Christmas Miracle Series will certainly reel as another one of Jack’s life-altering schemes is suddenly revealed, and Charlotte’s impending decision regarding their marriage is finalized.
“Christmas Miracle on Christmas Day” is a clean romance read that contains no sexual situations or violence. Although I recommend the series be read in order, this novel will hold up as a stand-alone read. I feel anyone, especially hopeless romantics, ages 15 & older will enjoy this book.
