This book is a sweet tale of a special Christmas in a small town of Biders Clump. It’s about dreams, wishes and a gathering of the community for a traditional play about the birth of our Lord. Music is sung, stories are told and food is for everyone for the celebration. This book begins the series and is special in remembering what this holiday is all about. Loved it!
Although I enjoyed this story, the ending wasn’t very satisfactory, not really having an HEA, just a promise. Apart from that, it was a lovely sweet story of two young people who fall in love during the Christmas season and there are many wonderful scenes that encompass what Christmas is all about. I had a good giggle at the Christmas play the children put on:)
All is not easy for Rafe and Seraphina since their parents have been in a feud for years and would not approve of their friendship. Throughout the story, they can only meet in secret and even then it’s for very short periods of time. I would love to see a continuation of their story as the ending left a lot of unanswered questions.
What was there was really good, but I didn’t realize it wasn’t a stand alone book. I prefer to read books that have closure, not books that I have to buy the rest of the series to complete it.
Christmas Kringle
Tales from Biders Clump, Book 1
By: Danni Roan
Narrated by: Greg Young
This sweet short story had me from the first chapter. Seraphina is a bit of wanderer. Unlike her sisters, she enjoys being out and about. When she decides to climb a tree, she doesn’t account for the snow and falls. Lucky for her Rafe is there to help her. But is it lucky? Immediate attraction between these two pulls them together only to know their feuding families will keep them apart. Is there a chance for a Christmas miracle? This came out at the perfect time of year. Jump starting the holiday season, this look at families and their differences and how they overcome is the spirit of the season. Love is the shining light for their Christmas season.
Greg Young is a new narrator to me, and I absolutely fell in love with his voice. He has a calming quality that is soothing to listen to. He easily goes between characters and can do both male and female voices with ease. He is one I will be watching in the future.

This is a lovely holiday story! I really got the Christmas feels from it. The story is sweet and moves along nicely. The characters are big, bright and kind. Seraphina (LOVE that name BTW) is a kind girl who lives for her family. Rafe has shown interest in Sera but their families don’t get along.
This is a nice star crossed lovers story with no or little hope. I loved that Rafe didn’t let his father get him down about Sera. He shows a great kindness to them. I did listen to this on audio. Greg Young is the new to me narrator. I love his voice! Its very smooth and I could listen to him frequently.
I liked this clean story and the fact it is set around Christmas is a bonus. I thought the pacing was good and the characters were wonderful. This can read well alone.
but reading the others in the series would add more background. Overall a good read.
I can’t wait to see what happens with the Adams and Dixon families as this sweet western series continues. I really enjoyed the family dynamics and sweet romance.
