This book was one dreary thing after another, with no end. I honestly just couldn’t take it anymore and skimmed around the last bit and saw the ending was no better, and gave up. I read the majority of it though, so I can speak properly here when I say, I do not recommend anyone read this unless you are just looking for depression.
I like endings, not carried overs.
I had a difficult time getting into this series.
Although the book is predictable, it is an easy read and the characters are so we’ll developed you can picture them at your home. The 2nd book has so much repeating text from the first book, I actually found myself skipping whole passages.
First 2 books of series. The first introduces you to Holly and her obsession with Christmas Tree Key. Because she is so obsessed she cannot balance it with her caring for a guy. He doesn’t do well with suggesting that she pick him over her island. She cannot see it.
Book 2 picks up with her infatuation with one of the guys who was part of the first gtroup to come to Christmas Key while male 1 is still sadly in background. A reality show decides to host their show on the island which picks up all kinds of issues for those who want to stay just Christmas all year long Key … and now her infatuations tugs between both males. The story kinda limps to an end which is really just to make you need to keep reading to find out what happens cause there is no conlcuion.
Booke 3 was hoped to be finding the happy solutions for Holly … but, no, it is actually the short story of how her mother became teen pregnant with her which is what cauised her grandparents to buy Christmas key and create the community in the first place. I guess it was not put first because you really did not need to know Holly’s parents story before the first two stories.
For those who do not like descriptive sex scenes, you will be fine. There is kissing and you are told they go to bed but nothing about being in bed is described at all.
Very entertaining. Good characters.
I would have enjoyed more of the third book- way too short.
Characters were great. Felt like you knew them. Different from the normal romance story.
great series . read the rest of the of the Cheistmas Key books all were great!
First book was the best of the 3. Could have done without the third OR make it longer. The romantic aspect left the reader hanging. I don’t like to be hung. I also have some common sense issues but then it is fiction and the author is in charge.
I was hooked by the end of the first book. Very fun read and went on the purchase the other 3 in the series.
I can give the first two books high marks. I liked the characters, for the most part, but I have no interest in Coco. I don’t want her back story and I won’t change how I feel about her character. I personally think that book 3 backfired on the author.
I really like it
