Come home to Silver Springs for the holidays, where broken hearts learn to love again…together. So much for forever. When Harper Devlin’s rock star husband ditches her on his way to the top, she takes her two daughters to her sister’s place in Silver Springs for the holidays, hoping family can heal her broken heart. But comfort comes in unexpected places when she crosses paths with local Tobias … crosses paths with local Tobias Richardson.
The moment Tobias spots Harper, he recognizes a sadness he knows all too well. After spending thirteen years in prison paying for his regretful past, Tobias is ready to make amends, and maybe helping Harper is the way to do it. But offering her a shoulder to cry on ignites a powerful attraction and a desire neither saw coming.
Fearing her reaction, Tobias doesn’t reveal his checkered past. He’s falling hard, and if Harper finds out, he’ll lose her for good, especially because her famous ex is now trying to win her back. Secrets have a way of coming out, but maybe this Christmas will bring Tobias the forgiveness—and the love—he deserves.

Harper Devlin gave her heart and soul to husband Axel, helping him on the way up to becoming a renowned lead singer for the rock band, Pulse. Now that he’s a success, he’s declared they’re finished and wants to explore life as a rock star and all that implies. Harper takes her two young daughters to Silver Springs, California to spend the Christmas holiday with her sister and her family, hoping to heal her broken heart and pray that Axel has a change of heart. When Tobias Richardson sees her eating alone in a diner and notices her sadness, he gives her words of encouragement and a rose to brighten her spirits. This begins an unusual relationship neither saw as a possibility.
After the last book, I was hoping for more about Tobias who was released from prison five months ago after 13 years of incarceration for a tragic accident he committed as a teen. Not all of that time was for the original charge as he was given more years for defending himself in prison. That’s important because Tobias was never a hardened or habitual criminal and is really working hard to make something of his life following prison. So, when he reached out to Harper, it was without guile or ulterior motive.
What I loved about this story was the possibility of hope and redemption that was always in the background. It is perfect that Tobias’ story happened during Christmas, a time of goodwill and giving. In Tobias, Harper found someone who appreciated her for who she was and not as the wife of someone famous. In Harper, Tobias found a woman of compassion with a lovely spirit. I enjoyed their journey, even though the heat ramped up rather quickly. I am happy I opted to listen to the story as Veronica Worthington is one of my favorite narrators for romance. She does male voices very well, avoiding the pitfall of lowering her voice to emulate the change in gender. Worthington finds better and effective ways to provide distinctions.
I really enjoyed this story and while it stands alone very well (as do most of the books in this series), I highly recommend reading the preceding book because it gives Tobias much more texture and layers. I rarely read out of order so that’s a big statement for me.

I really enjoyed this Silver Springs novel and reading about Tobias Richardson finally getting a break from his tragic life. It begins when he meets Harper Devlin, ex-wife of a rock star, who is trying to get her life back on track after her divorce. There is an immediate attraction when they meet and all is going well although Tobias has not revealed his past history about his prison term. When Harper’s ex returns and reveals Tobias’s past, it looks as if all will be lost. There are many twists and turns and returning characters from past Silver Springs novels.
Welcome to the town where broken hearts and healing souls go hand in hand. Novak has a gift for stated the obvious with a spoonful of turpentine sprinkled with the sweetest hint of sugar. Christmas in Silver Springs delivers some harsh truths with a lyrical tongue and an empathetic ear. For Tobias and Elle real world heartache could lead two bruised souls to find their own brand of fairytale. Sweet gets complicated, but love makes it all worthwhile.
A truly beautiful, heartfelt and emotional read of love, healing and the realisation that redemption and forgiveness most often come from within.
Harper Devlin is trying hard to get over the idea of her famous rock star husband, Axel, wanting a divorce. With the final divorce date only days away Harper and her two young daughters head to Silver Springs, CA to stay with her sister and her family for Christmas. While sitting in the local cafe Harper meets Tobias Richardson and is instantly smitten. Although Harper is still in love with Axel, Tobias is making her feel things that she hasn’t felt in a long time.
Tobias loves spending time with Harper but he is reluctant to tell her that he was just released from prison five months ago. Just when it looks like Harper and Tobias may get the happy ending that they both deserve, trouble from her past comes rushing back full force. Harper is going to have to really dig deep down to see if she should be back with Axel and the okay life she was living or for once in her life do something for herself and dive in head first into a relationship with Tobias. It’s a rough and bumpy road but finally Harper ends up with the perfect happy ending she was meant to have.
I loved Harper and Tobias. They are both characters who have been hurt in life and really deserve a happy ending. I also adored the secondary story with Atticus….what a great thing to do! Overall, this was another great story in this series!
Christmas in Silver Springs brings a bit of redemption and second chances. This one isn’t really what I would consider a Christmas romance. It’s Christmastime, but the romance is more about moving on and learning your own heart. I will say that I didn’t much care for the timing on Harper’s end. It reminded me of an old expression I heard once – the best way to get over one man is to find another. It was just too much like a rebound relationship. That said, Tobias is such a sweetheart that I couldn’t help but root for him. He does have a jaded past, and I liked that the author didn’t make him the victim in it all. He’s paid for his mistakes, and he’s only looking to get on with his life. Despite the bad timing on Harper’s end, I still liked her. She had some stuff to work through and did the best she could with what she had. I may have started with reservations about it, but Brenda Novak certainly won me over with a romance that is just the right mix of sweet and sexy, and a couple that is thoroughly lovable, faults and all.
Harper is heartbroken because of the end of her marriage with pop star Axel Devlin. Willing to move on
and not letting the past spoil hers and her daughters’ Christmas, she goes to her sister’s house in Silver
Springs. She is not yet ready to move on but upon meeting the gentle Tobias and realizing how desirable
she is still, she decides to get involved with the mysterious man.
Tobias has spoiled his youth because of a mistake and now that he is trying to restart his life, to recognize
the pain in Harper’s eyes can be very dangerous to his heart but even so he lets himself
take for his feelings for her, even though he thinks he doesn’t deserve her and that everything will end in a
blink of an eye.
Tobias has a great group of friends and perfect brother who love him and are capable of everything for
him and when he needs, will show how special he is and deserves a second chance.
Although the story is not quite a Christmas story, the way the writer reinforced the second chance idea
it was quite strong showing how well the Christmas spirit can touch the hardest hearts and operate
true miracles.
3,5 /5 stars
I absolutely loved this book.So full of love and forgiveness. The characters were amazing my favorite Christmas romance
I loved it
4.5 stars
Tobias is a dream. I knew from reading Unforgettable You that I would like him. But I just fell completely head over heels in love with the man. Now if only he could have as high of an opinion of himself that those who know him do. Tobias has some problems with feeling “less than”. Due to his upbringing and his incarceration, it’s understandable to an extent. Yet he’s so much better than he gives himself credit for.
Elle’s reawakening is magnificent. She comes off as a bit of a weak pushover at first. In a way, she has some of the same inferiority issues as Tobias. While she knows she’s a good person and worthy of much, she doesn’t seem to feel she deserves the same accolades as her (almost) ex-husband. Just because he is charismatic and the public at large loves the man doesn’t mean he’s any better or worthy of things than Elle. Luckily, as this story progresses, Elle starts to see that she shouldn’t have to sacrifice her own happiness for someone else’s…no matter who that other person happens to be.
It’s so plain from the first time they meet that Elle and Tobias will be good for one another, if only they will allow themselves to let down their shields. While Tobias doesn’t feel he is in a position to ask for more, Elle is wishy washy about what the right thing to do is for her and her kids. But it’s okay that they both have their own journeys to take in order to be together because they start to find their true worth of themselves.
On top of all that is happening with Tobias and Elle, our old pal Uriah is having his own issues with his deadbeat son back in town. Of course, that puts Tobias’ back up and he has to keep himself in check with not only his issues with Elle but also with this jerk Carl, who doesn’t think Tobias deserves any of his dad’s kindness.
Brenda Novak, as usual, does a beautiful job weaving this story and these lives together to create a beautiful Christmas story that will break your heart and then sew it back up with love.

Another visit to the wonderful little town of Silver Springs. Ms. Novak has written a story of forgiveness and second chances that really touched my heart.
Christmas in Silver Springs can be read as a stand-alone, but I recommend reading the whole series to get the full picture of the wonderful people in this town. You don’t want to miss one book of this series!
I really enjoyed Christmas in Silver Springs. This is a Christmas story that I will reread every holiday season.
4 star review of Christmas in Silver Springs (Silver Springs #6) by Brenda Novak
I love any story that is centred around Christmas; it’s a time for family and friends to get together, celebrate and reflect.
This was a fun, at times heart wrenching read and one I thoroughly enjoyed. I liked Brenda Novak’s style of writing and felt as though I was a part of the magic of Silver Springs.
I really liked Elle Devlin and Tobias Richardson they were easy to relate to and the secondary characters were just as entertaining . Will the magic of the holiday season bring happiness for Elle and Tobias or will Elle’s ex husband destroy their chance of happiness?
Silver Springs sounds like a beautiful place to live or visit and I found this story to be full of hope, love and forgiveness. A festive and sweet story that will get you in the mood for the holiday season.
I received a copy of this book through the publisher via Netgalley.
I received an ARC of Christimas in Silver Springs from NetGalley and the publisher and this is my fair on honest review.
This was another incredible story by Brenda Novak, I have read over 50 of her books and I amazed at how wonderful her books are. I think I have a favorite, and then another book comes along and it takes the place for a short while. There is so much chemistry between Harper and Tobias, yet can you keep secrets and hope to make any relationship work. I really disliked Carl in this story, and hopefully he doesnt make anymore appearances. I would certainly recommend this book or any of Brenda’s books to anyone that loves to read
Tobias is healing internally and just beginning to accept that he is worth something after spending thirteen years in prison for shooting Atticus at a party when Tobias was a young teen and Atticus was a boy. Then Harper Devlin comes to town and the electricity between the two of them sparks a desire that cannot be quenched. The fact that Harper is still married to rock star Axel Devlin complicates things and adds to the plot. This is a romance, but it is also all about having the adventure of a lifetime and being able to forgive others and yourself. It is a beautiful story of redemption and the love that awaits everyone who believes in the magic!

Enjoyed reading Tobias’ story.
Christmas in Silver Springs is the sixth book in the Silver Spring series but it does stand alone if you have not read any of the other books. This one gives us Tobias’ story and made for a warm, heartfelt, holiday story. The strength and love of friends and family comes through once again in the town of Silver Springs.
I look forward to the next book in this series.
I’ve been rooting for Tobias since he appeared in Unforgettable You. An accident landed him in jail for 13 years. He is out and trying to find his footing in the world. So much has changed yet some things never will. He has several people in his corner but his guilt still haunts him. Harper Devlin is going through a divorce from her rock star husband. She is in Silver Springs with her girls to just get away. Her refuge is her sister’s house. By accident these two meet. Tobias knows his past will never be good enough for her but a crack has opened up his heart. He is opening himself open to hurt but she makes him feel things he has never felt before. Harper on the other hand is leery. What does she want? All she knows is that Tobias makes her feel safe and happy. Does Axel, Haper’s husband upset the apple cart or does he let her go? Will Tobias’s past come back to haunt them? I just loved the ending!
This is book 6 in the Silver Springs series and it features Tobias and Harper. It does my heart good to know Tobias is getting his heart wrenching story told. He made a mistake by experimenting with drugs when he was 17. That mistake cost him the next 13 years of his life. Finally out of prison and making a fresh start Tobias sees the most breathtaking woman ever and she looks so sad. That’s the beginning of their story and it’s a rough, emotional roller coaster after that. I think even Piper realized how special Tobias was pretty quickly.
This is a sweet, steamy, almost insta-love type of story. It has amazing characters and is set in a beautiful little town that I’d love to visit someday if it wasn’t fictional. Until next time Silver Springs!
Great addition to the Silver Springs series. This is Tobias’s story. Harper comes to lick her wounds and spend Christmas with her Sister and her family after her Rock Star husband asked for a divorce. Meeting Tobias was not in her plans but the attraction was there… don’t want to give away anything but another great installment in the series. Hoping it continues on in another book .
As Harper has discovered, fame and fortune isn’t the most important thing in life. Tobias was a simple man and didn’t have much to offer, however Harper couldn’t get enough of him. Since coming to Silver Springs to help get over her broken marriage, Harper hasn’t even begun to move on until she met Tobias. Even though he didn’t have much to offer monetarily Tobias was a wonderful, tender, caring man. He tried many times to tell Harper about his past but couldn’t find the right words. When she finds out, the shock is too much. But she just can’t equate the man she knows with the monster her ex described. After ten years of marriage with fame destroying her relationship Harper isn’t sure she can trust her own decisions, but realizes if Atticus the victim can forgive Tobias then maybe she can find love again.
Love isn’t always enough
