From the moment I started reading, the words cheese and rice had me laughing out loud! Fiona aka fifi has come home to her grams place, to sort the place out for selling. As she realises she isn;t alone on the property from the buffola, the turkey and the donkey that loves to swing its a whirlwind.its like she has stepped into a Zoo for the unwanted animals run by the towns very own silver fox Dr Bain! Fiona also brings along her own pet! A SLOTH! Funniest picture ever created a sloth in jumpers and tutu! These two dance around each other and the friendship grows as they have to plan the towns Christmas July! That is until notes start appearing. Figuring this out is very funny! What a read and if this is the frist of your visits to McKenzie Ridge you need to head back and catch up,l. Congrats SSK a fantastic read cant wait for more!!!

I love the characters in this series, sweet, meddling, rough or grouchy each and everyone of them is special. Add in the eclectic mix of creatures in this and what’s not love, on top of that we get all the romance of Christmas. Of course I figured out the couple long before they did but I really enjoyed the journey to them figuring it out. A truelly sweet and romantic read.
Another page turner by Stephanie St. Klaire. I loved going back and visiting McKenzie a Ridge, and all the wonderful people that live there. In this book we meet Fiona. She comes back to McKenzie Ridge to settle her grandmothers estate, and right from the beginning the antics start. (OMG…that buffalo scene) will have you laughing hysterically. You will fall in love with Fifi, and Jensen immediately. So, grab your copy now!
Christmas in July is a sweet, fun and humor filled novella about Fiona (Fifi) and her return to McKenzie Ridge after the death of her grandma Dee. When she gets there she finds out so much about her grandma and the life she lead in McKenzie Ridge. Loved getting to meet all of grandma’s quirky friends, the fun, farm animals and especially Doc Bain the local vet who lives on Grams farm. If you have ever read one of Stephanie St. Klaire’s books you know you are going to laugh until your side hurts and you might even shed a few tears. If you haven’t read anything by this author then this is the perfect book to start your SSK journey. Great writing, quirky characters, a perfect ending and a desire to visit McKenzie Ridge make this a 5 star read.
This book is pack with lots of fun and quirkiness that we come to expect from Stephanie St. Klaire. Fiona has no idea what is in store for her when she comes back to McKenzie Ridge to settle her grandmothers’ property. Que Dr. Jensen Bain, an assortment of animals and the folks from town. Will Fiona find her passion there or is it back in Hollyweird. I enjoyed this fun romance and I know you will too.

Christmas in July was a fun entertaining visit back to McKenzie Ridge. With Fifi, Jensen, and their unique collection of animals. It all makes me go back and read the entire series again.
This is one of the funniest books I have read to date. With side-splitting humor and quirky characters, this will be a book I will be reading again and again. The vet has a menagerie of unique animals, and Fifi the heroine is often the only sane voice in the insane antics in Mckenzie. Fifi only came back to Mckenzie to prepare her grandmother’s house to sell. Then she will return to her life in L.A. But fate has a way of changing minds and Fifi is at the head of that list. Will the uniqueness of the town be enough to keep her there? This is a must read book!
Highly entertaining and fun action packed holiday experience. Really enjoyed this quick yet sexy and exciting adventure that had me on an thrilling emotional roller-coaster. This is a great read from beginning to end.
Christmas in July: Loved Fifi’s name it was different and fit the Hollywood lifestyle she lived in. Loved all the different animals that were on her Grandmothers property and I loved Fifi’s Sloth. Loved all the surprises throughout the book. Characters were fantastic and I loved the challenges that Fifi went through. It was a great story that kept the readers guessing what was going to happen. It was a wonderful story that I loved.
This sweet novella is a return to the Small town of McKenzie Ridge and its fun charismatic characters. Grandma Dee has died suddenly while her only granddaughter Fiona(FiFi) is out of the country. Fifi returns to McKenzie Ridge with plans to sort out her beloved Gram’s home and sell it and return to Hollywood and her design job there.
Being “home” reminds her of her hopes and dreams when she was young and Gram’s town was a place to escape to and live out her idyllic life. All of Gram’s crazy and kooky friends are there, as well as Gram’s extremely likeable Veteranarian and his rag tag brood of rescues that call Gram’s farm their home.
As FiFi is roped into replacing Gram in the town’s fourth of july festival and Christmas festival that is now being held in July due to a fire last year, she realizes how much hometowns mean to the occupants, how much Gram did and meant, and how much she now is ingrained in this town and into the heart of her Secret Santa letter writer. Her thoughts begin to change and think that perhaps she can stay in McKenzie Ridge and have the life that she always wanted as well as the life she has now. This is a really feel good novella and a great look back. I can’t wait to visit this town in more novels yet to come.
I enjoyed this sweet romance. It was fun returning to McKenzie Ridge for Christmas in July. Granny Lou kept things entertaining.
I voluntarily read and reviewed a complimentary Advance Reader Copy from Booksprout.
When your birthday falls on July 25th & you love all things Christmas, there’s no better book to curl up with than Christmas in July by Stephanie St. Klaire. I’m a sucker for a good romance, but I have to admit, I fell in love with the animals in this story long before I committed myself to Doc Bain & Fifi! If you’ve ever had an animal bring you a “gift” then you know both the deep sense of loyalty of an animal & the disgust of the human having to do something with said “gift”! But seriously, I’ve yet to read a book with such a menagerie of animals that made me truly laugh out loud & want to cuddle with a buffalo! And Granny Lou is forever the wise-cracking, shoot from the hip wild woman we have all come to know & love from reading the beloved McKenzie Ridge series. Enter a couple of new & feisty characters like Jensen Bain & Fiona Gallagher (aka Hollywood) who throw barbs as much as heat at each other & you’ve got a surefire win! Stephanie packs a lot of laughs & some great relationship depth into a quick little read!
Christmas in July…….McKenzie Ridge…..Llama Drama…….baby raccoons and a little bit of mischief. A fun quick read that is super sweet and makes you ready for the holidays!
OMG this is a fantastic book. I loved every minute of it. I could not put it down. From the time Fifi got out of the car the very first time to hurting her self. Then to find out about Dallas. Just OMG you have to read to know about little Dallas. It is just so funny in the beginning that you get into that you just have to read to know what happens by the end. I will read this book a million time over it was that fantastic.

Stephanie St. Klaire stories never fail to disappoint. Rest assured that whenever you start one of her stories it will be difficult to put down. Christmas in July is not an exception. It’s funny, witty, sassy, and sweet. It’s great to have back some of my favorite characters, whom I’ve missed, and I love the animals. Fifi and Doc Bain’s story is sweet and fun in true McKenzie Ridge fashion. I’m very excited to see what else Ms. St. Klaire is cooking.
Not my cup of tea, but fans of Hallmark movies will love it. I’ve heard about Stephanie St. Klaire’s McKenzie Ridge series and was ready for my introduction in this novella. Most of the characters were very quirky and Fifi needing to help plan the town’s Christmas in July celebration was an interesting twist to keep the big city girl in the small town long enough to fall in love.
Fifi Gallagher returns to McKenzie Ridge to settle her grandmother’s estate, she finds herself toe-to-toe with…a buffalo, and a variety of wild animals. It seems her grandmother was allowing the town Vet to live, and board and keep animals on her property. Fifi doesn’t know what to do with this range of animals.
The handsome, Doctor Jensen Bain — aka silver fox — finds himself standing toe-to-toe with the infamous Fiona “Fifi” Gallagher straight out of Hollywood – threatening eviction. Doc use to live in LA once upon a time. Then he decided to move to the country to actual live life, not just live for the paycheck.
Fifi is thrown into the town’s affairs of running the Christmas in July parade, and the towns committee, both of which her grandmother ran.
Fifi has written her book project while she has been back in her grandmother’s house. She is torn with deciding if she should leave or stay.
Doc is torn with his love of the country and his interest in Fifi. Would he be able to leave his animals and go back to LA to be in a relationship with her? Or, would going back to that rushed lifestyle ruin their blossoming relationship? Will Fifi even give them a chance at a relationship?
I did receive an ARC review copy of this book from the author. I am freely leaving an honest review.
I just love being back in McKenzie, it felt like I was coming home with Fiona (aka Fifi). She was uptight and 100% LA when she got there but the town, Doc and Grandma Lou sure brought out her small town roots. She fell in love with all of the animals in and around the farm and the doctor that cared for them all too….don’t pass up this page turner!
Omg what a lovely small town funny love story. This beauty would make an awesome Hallmark movie ! Doc Bain and Fifi’s story is all about taking time to look at yourself in a mirror and realize what You’ve missed and finding your true self. I loved the small town coming together and the tight bound between all the neighbors, friends and family. Once again Stephanie St.Klaire makes us want to discover Mackenzie Ridge for real !
Hallmark Christmas worthy story hands down! I’m not sure how Stephanie makes each book she writes better than the last one, she’s definitely a truly talented author and woman! You will absolutely love Christmas in July!! Fiona “Fifi” inherits her grandmother’s house and property and drives to the house she spent countless summer’s in growing up fully intent on selling it all as fast as she can so she can return back to her life in LA. Once she arrives the laughter starts, before she even completely gets out of her car. While being held hostage by a four-legged troublemaker she meets Dr. Jensen Bain who lives and has his practice on the property where he keeps multiple patients of his who are unable for one reason or another to return back to their normal animal lives. Fifi ends up with countless visitors within the first morning she arrives, some of them being people she remembers from childhood.
