Fans of RaeAnne Thayne and Debbie Macomber will love this USA Today bestselling author’s latest holiday romance about enemies-to-lovers who fall for each other in a small Massachusetts coastal town.
Three Christmas wishes. Two total opposites. One magical holiday. It’s Evangeline Christmas’s favorite time of the year, but instead of wrapping presents and decking the halls, she’s worrying … instead of wrapping presents and decking the halls, she’s worrying about saving her year-round holiday shop from powerful real estate developer Caine Elliot. Although the town has rallied around Evie, her attempts to stop Caine have been in vain. Now she’s risking everything on an unusual proposition she hopes the wickedly handsome CEO can’t refuse…
Evangeline has always loved Christmas, it has always been her favorite time of year but this upcoming holiday season isn’t like the others. She has been fighting a developer in hopes of saving her Christmas store and things are looking bleak. When it looks like all is lost she comes up with an idea that she hopes will save her business. She makes a bet with Caine, the developer trying to take her store and her livelihood away from her. All he has to do is Grant three wishes and she will step aside but if he looses he has to leave her shop alone. Cause thinks all will be easy and that throwing some money around will fix everything but he soon learns that money isn’t the answer for everything. Along the way Evie and Caine are drawn to each other neither knowing how to handle the feelings sprouting up around them. They both feel so much but don’t know if letting go is the answer or if they should just push it all aside. Follow the story as love blossoms and does its best to find a way. This story will touch you emotionally having you crying one.minute and laughing the next. I love this series and am sad to see it end but look forward to seeing what new characters the author breathes life into next.
This was a great read! The writing flowed well from start to finish, and I loved Caine and Evie together! They had great chemistry, and I was rooting for them make it through everything. I did get annoyed at both of them for different reasons. Caine for defending his grandmother even after the horrible things she had done, and Evie for analyzing Caine, but not dealing with her own problems. It was a little confusing at times with all the characters from other books mentioned. Those parts are few, so it wasn’t a big deal. The ending was great, and I loved that even Colleen got her happy ending.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book.
We all know that Debbie Mason writes happily ever after romance but she kept me guessing on this one. I was beginning to get worried that this book would be the exception. As the final book in the Harmony Harbor series, this one is long in order to wrap up all the lose ends and she does it beautifully. She creates hunky heroes you will fall in love with and heroines you want to be your best friend. Looking forward to more of her books.
Christmas in Harmony Harbor by Debbie Mason is the final book in her Harmony Harbor series, and I’m sad to see it go. If you’ve read the series from book one or it’s the first one you pick up, I guarantee it will not disappoint. This final installment tells the story of Caine Elliot, the man behind the company trying to buy Greystone Manor.
Caine is an enigma. As a fan of the series and lover of the manor, I should hate him, but I don’t. I love him. He has a good heart which is evident when he was first introduced in Barefoot Beach as Theia’s best friend. He cares deeply for those that he loves and is loyal even when the person doesn’t deserve his loyalty. My heart broke for him over and over again throughout the story, especially as his history is revealed and how the manor plays into it.
But this story isn’t just about Caine. It’s also about Evangeline Christmas, the owner of Holiday House, a historic home and store on the main street of Harmony Harbor. It also happens to be next door to the development Caine’s company is building and the town just voted to approve Caine’s request to buy Holiday House and put a parking lot in its place. Furious and heartbroken don’t begin to describe how Evie is feeling, but she is determined to stop it. With the help of Caine’s uncle Seamus, Evie devises a plan to do just that.
The plot of the story follows Caine and Evie as Evie’s plan is put into motion. Evie bets Caine that he can’t fulfill three wishes from her angel tree. As a man who never loses, Caine takes the bet. Evie uses each wish as an homage to the Dickens’s classic A Christmas Carol. Each angel is one of the ghosts of Christmas, breaking down all of Caine’s barriers and a few of Evie’s along the way. I love this twist! It really explores Caine’s history giving readers a clear insight into his character. Not to mention the chemistry that builds between Evie and Caine as he fulfills the wishes and they get to know one another.
Overall I loved Christmas in Harmony Harbor. While I’m sad to see the series come to a close, I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect ending. Colleen would be happy with it! If you enjoy sweet, holiday romance, I highly recommend you grab a copy asap.

Evangeline Christmas has been entrusted with the family business and she wants to prove that she can make it a success this holiday season, but a pesky neighboring businessman has other plans for her little store. She is not about to give in to Caine Elliot and let him destroy a business that has been in her family for years, no matter how many times the handsome, blue-eyed devil bats his eyes at her. So she makes him an offer that she is certain he can’t win…
With a picturesque coastal town, quirky lovable residents, and a blossoming enemies to lovers romance Christmas in Harmony Harbor a can’t miss holiday read! I loved what I found between the pages of this one, immediately I was pulled into the words and wrapped up in the lives of these characters. The push and pull between these two was unreal, you could see the potential lying between them, but both were too stubborn to admit to their feelings, or give in to the chemistry swirling around between them. It’s a slow burn romance, loaded with feels, angst, hope, and a few laughs too! I really enjoyed this one, it’s seasonal theme made me eager for the holidays, and left my heart really happy! Highly recommend!!
I requested an advanced copy of this title from the publisher, and I am voluntarily leaving my honest opinion.
I haven’t read a Christmas based romance that I didn’t like. Reading about two people falling in love during the most magical time of the year always gets me misty-eyed. So, when I saw that Debbie Mason had written another book in her Harmony Harbor series, I couldn’t wait to read it!!
I loved the plotline of Christmas in Harmony Harbor. It was fast-paced and well written. There was a spot in the book where it lagged. But the author was able to get the book back on track.
The storyline of Christmas in Harmony Harbor was interesting. It was a mixture of A Christmas Carol and The Grinch Who Stole Christmas. It reminded me of A Christmas Carol because of the journey that Caine took during the time he was with Evie. Each task he had to complete had him reflecting on his past, present, and future. It reminded me of The Grinch Who Stole Christmas because Caine’s heart grew three sizes too large towards the end of the book.
I was surprised to find out that Christmas in Harmony Harbor was going to be the last book in the Harmony Harbor series. That upset me because I didn’t want the series to end. Hopefully, the author will start a new series that features a least some of the unattached characters (thinking Clio here). That way, I can catch up on what the characters in this series have been doing.
Christmas in Harmony Harbor can be read as a standalone book. But, considering the intertwining storylines, I would read the previous books. I wish I did because some plotlines were mentioned that had me going, “Huh?”
I loved Evie, but she was a hot mess. She was trying to save her family business and disrupt Caine’s plans for her house. But, she did make me laugh during the book. I thought her idea to win Caine over by using the Angel Tree was perfect. I also liked how she saw the best in everyone/thing. Like her shop. It was a rat, and mice-infested mess, yet she loved it.
I didn’t like Caine for the first half of the book. He was hellbent on getting revenge on the Gallaghers on behalf of his grandmother. But then he met Evie, and he started to thaw. He agreed to 3 wishes from the Angel Tree. It was after that scene that I began to like him. But, I wish that he stood up to his grandmother sooner.
Caine and Evie’s romance was cute. They weren’t expecting to develop feelings for each other. Caine viewed Evie as a PITA, and Evie thought Caine was the second coming of Satan. But I saw that spark. The minute that Caine went into the basement and faced down rats, I knew it. I loved it, even though it was Instalove.
I thought that the secondary characters made this book. Caine’s grandmother, GG, Seamus, Evie’s mother, and all of the characters from the previous book added depth to the story. My favorite was Seamus. I had this mental picture of this barrel-chested, handsome Irishman helping his nephew. My least favorite was Caine’s grandmother. Up until the end, she insisted on doing things that harmed everyone. I also couldn’t get past what she told and do to Caine. I did a mental “WTF” when that came out.
The end of Christmas in Harmony Harbor was bittersweet. I liked it because I got to see Caine and Evie’s HEA. But I was sad because the author is ending the series.
Great Christmas book, spirit of Christmas is evident. Evageline Christmas. She owns the town’s year round holiday shop. She is fighting against the powerful real estate developer who tries to buy the block her building is on including her shop which they want to bulldoze! See how she. Negotiates with the handsome CEO!
Evangeline Christmas is the owner of a year round Christmas store called Holiday House. As she is getting ready for the crowds of Black Friday shoppers she loses power to the store. When a developer wants to buy several lots in town, including the lot that houses her business, Evangeline has a new battle on her hands. Will she prevail? Will Christmas magic happen between Evangeline and the developer? You’ll want to curl up with a cup of tea and settle in for an afternoon of reading. A very heartwarming story that you’ll be happy you read.
Sweetly thrilling holiday romance filled with interesting charters, witty banter, exciting emotional twists and just the right tug on the heart strings….. was a excellent read from beginning to end. Loved every heart racing moment and heart warming turn of events.
Christmas in Harmony Harbor by Debbie Mason is the 9th and last book in the Harmony Harbor Series. Even though this is the 9th book in the series it can very well be read as a standalone. Ms. Mason wrote a wonderful story which drew me in, making me forget the world around me and did not let me go until I turned the last page. There are some twist and turns that will keep you turning the pages as quick as you can. I highly recommend this book to other romance readers. This is a wonderful story that I thoroughly enjoyed. The story was well written and moved at a great pace, the characters are delightful and are well defined and likable. Ms. Mason wraps up this series up very nicely, but I would not be surprised if we see more at a later time. If you enjoy enemies to lovers stories this one is for you. I highly recommend Christmas in Harmony Harbor and the entire Harmony Harbor series.
Love the last book in this series. Caine was the man you’d love to hate but he just wasn’t that evil. He was always about trying to please the people that matter in his life, no matter what. Evangaline is the epitome of Christmas. Always looking for the positive in everyone. These two should be like oil and water, yet each time Eva gets in trouble, he is there for her. When everything is on the line, it is family coming together that saves the day. I love the ending!
Evie and Caine are my favorite couple in this series! They are perfect for each other, and I love how their story unfolded.
Christmas in Harmony Harbor is filled with family secrets, lies and betrayals, but also forgiveness. It is a wonderful Christmas story and I love Colleen Gallagher’s surprise at the end.
I voluntarily read and reviewed a complimentary Advance Reader Copy.
Wonderful holiday romance that has entertaining characters as well as intrigue and suspense. Evie Christmas is trying to save her shop/home but is struggling. Caine is the CEO of the company trying to tear down Evie’s Christmas shop. The story has some interesting twists and turns. The residents of Harmony Harbor are active as a community and family. Caine definitely isn’t use to the people trying to stop him from building a huge tower in their quaint little town. I received a complementary copy of this book via Net Galley and chose to write a review. I look forward to reading future books by Ms. Mason.
What a wine wonderful way to wrap this up with Caine and Evies story during Christmas. Caine try’s to secure the manor and Evies shop but many things and or secrets and Christmas angel tree wishes are playing a role in their Relationship ups and downs! Caine was just so tough and yet caring ! Loved the final pages . It brought me to tears seeing how Colleen and Evie both get their HEA ! Bravo ! Well done Debbie !!
Debbie Mason Christmas in Harmony Harbor
** I received an advanced copy of this book. This is my voluntary and honest review.
You do not have to have read the previous books in this series,
I have really enjoyed this series and I am sad that this is the final book, but Debbie Mason did a fantastic job of closing out the series and answering all the reader’s questions. As I was reading the end of the book I could not help but smile as everything came together full circle I was surprised and delighted to find out about Simon. I am so glad that Colleen finally gets to rest.
Christmas in Harmony Harbor is definitely a fun addition.
I love this series and am sad that this is the end. I love these characters and will miss them. Evie & Caine’s story is a GREAT read…Debbie Mason does a FANTASTIC job of starting with a HUGE conflict and ending with Happily Ever After!!!
I have so many feelings about this book that I’m afraid I won’t do this review justice. I know that sounds kinda crazy but that’s how I feel. I started writing this review in my head and I have to tell you, it was good! Unfortunately, I never remember totally what I was thinking so you’re stuck with what I do remember wanting to say.
If you follow Debbie Mason than you know that Christmas in Harmony Harbor is the last book in that series. With Mason, you can’t really say it’s over because she sometimes likes to throw a novella into the series at a later time. Wishful thinking!
For those of us who have been reading this series, we’ve been waiting for this book. We all knew that everything was going to come to a head and all would be revealed. I’ve been both waitings for this and dreading it. I love this series and hate that it’s ending.
Of course, she’s starting a new one so I’m pretty happy about that.
But for now, let’s deal with Christmas in Harmony Harbor. I think that so much happens in this book that your mind is going to explode. The good thing is that the author handles it all well and keeps the story moving at a great pace.
I totally love Caine. I feel so bad for him and all he has gone through. I’m surprised he hasn’t made himself sick with all the conflict. He truly is a good guy who really wants to make those he loves happy. The funny part is when you fall under the umbrella of those he cares for he tries to move heaven and earth for you.
I also like Evie. I think she worked really hard to keep a family memory alive that meant something to her. She has her own family issues that aren’t always the best.
Because I could go on and on about this book I’m going to try my best to start ending this review. Feel free to post to my Facebook page after I share this review if you want to talk more. I try never to give out spoilers in reviews.
As a whole, this is a wonderful story that I really enjoyed. I totally loved Caine’s uncle and thought he was so sweet. There are things at the end that I was totally unhappy about and I also felt it was slightly rushed but that could have been men because I wasn’t ready for the story to end. You’ll have to judge the ending on your own.
I was also happy that our family ghost got her happy-ever-after. You’ll love how she does. I’m so glad that I invested the time in this wonderful series and I’m going to miss them all. Do yourself a favor and pick up the series and get reading. You’ll be happy! This is perfect for small-town readers.
Goodbye Harmony Harbor, you will be missed!
Evangeline try to save her store. Caine wants the land, mostly his grandmother wants to destroy it. Sparks fly with those two.
Loved this story is very well written, characters are great.
Debbie Mason continues her Harmony Harbor series with another fantastic story. Evangeline Christmas is trying to keep her Christmas store open & out from under the bulldozer that is Caine Elliot. Caine needs that property to build the office building his grandmother insists must be there. He’s offered Evangeline more money than the store is worth & he’s baffled as to why she won’t accept it. Evangeline can’t get Caine to understand that the years of family history & memories mean more than money. Who will win out?
Ms. Mason has a way of developing her characters & environment that draws you in as you read & gets you emotionally invested in the story. First you have the complete opposites butting heads. Evangeline operates with her heart & emotion on her sleeve. Caine operates with his heart encased in ice & his shrewd business brain seeing $ signs all around. This has the effect of Scrooge & Tiny Tim in a way. Then you have the hopeful magical season of Christmas & all that it entails. Evangeline uses the season as a way to try to warm Caine’s Geary & make him see life is about more than money. I’m sad to see this series end but Ms. Mason has written a wonderful ending!
Christmas in Harmony Harbor is the final story in the series but can also be read as a stand alone novel. This is a wonderful enemies to friends to lovers story that is entertaining, lovable and filled with holiday spirits in more ways than one. I loved the character development, the pace of the story and the resolution. Evie Christmas is fighting to save her home and livelyhood from Caine Elliot, a rich real estate developer who wants to tear down her family history by levelling her holiday shop which has been in her family for a long time. Caine is trying to repay his grandmother who raised him by settling an old score against the Gallagher’s who he has been taught to believe wronged her and while he is at it, wants to build new buildings in the historic town. Evie’s final attempt is to challenge Caine to three holiday angel tasks, Caine reluctantly agrees. As the two work together, they learn that everything is not as it seems and feelings change which creates discord with his grandmother. Truths are learned, past wrongs are revealed and healing begins. A lovely story to put you in the holiday mood.
I received an advanced reader copy from the publisher but all thoughts and feelings are my own.
