Fans of RaeAnne Thayne and Debbie Macomber will love this USA Today bestselling author’s latest holiday romance about enemies-to-lovers who fall for each other in a small Massachusetts coastal town.
Three Christmas wishes. Two total opposites. One magical holiday. It’s Evangeline Christmas’s favorite time of the year, but instead of wrapping presents and decking the halls, she’s worrying … instead of wrapping presents and decking the halls, she’s worrying about saving her year-round holiday shop from powerful real estate developer Caine Elliot. Although the town has rallied around Evie, her attempts to stop Caine have been in vain. Now she’s risking everything on an unusual proposition she hopes the wickedly handsome CEO can’t refuse…
I have really enjoyed this series and I am sad that this is the final book, but Debbie Mason did a fantastic job of closing out the series and answering all the reader’s questions. As I was reading the end of the book I could not help but smile as everything came together full circle and the Gallagher clan was stronger than ever. I was surprised and delighted to find out about Simon. I am so glad that Colleen finally gets to rest.
I have really enjoyed the characters in this book and their trials and tribulations and how Caine learned money is not everything but love is. I also liked how part of the book took Caine through being Scrooge in A Christmas Carol and had him having to pick three angels off the tree for Christmas past, present and future. I think Colleen can be really proud of her family and Greystone Manor in the years to come.
I really liked the characters of Evie and Caine. It was fun to watch them fall in love even though they started out as enemies. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.
I loved this final book in the Harmony series. Caine and Evie are two wounded persons who bring out the best in each other once they get past their differences. Caine was my favorite hero in the series. Favorite characters from the past were revisited and the mysteries of Colleen’s journal were solved with a few things revealed that I didn’t see coming. Debbie’s Christmas series and Harmony series are heartwarming and they remain on my book shelves to share with friends. Can’t wait for the start of the new series next year.
Debbie Mason comes through, again. It is an enjoyable and for me a F A S T read. This, unfortunately, is the LAST book in the series. Whether you have read one, none or all of the previous books, you can read this one AND enjoy it thoroughly. Anything from previous books is addressed enough that you don’t feel as though you are in the dark. Characters and story line(s) keep you engaged. IF you read this book, I am sure you WILL be looking for more by this author. Enjoy. ( I did.)
Excellent addition to the Harmony Harbor series! One doesn’t have to have read previous books to enjoy this one, but it does help with the backstory. Besides, the whole series is so good, I’d recommend reading it all!
Evie Christmas and Caine Elliot are complex and interesting characters. Both have deep hurts in their pasts to overcome. Evie wants to save her store. Caine has come to town to build a large office building and needs that land. In an effort to keep the land and help Caine discover Christmas spirit, Evie comes up with a challenge. Enter in the chemistry between Evie and Caine, a town full of delightful characters, a family manor also being threatened, a friendly ghost trying to help, a mystery to solve, and an upcoming wedding and there is never a dull moment. I highly recommend this book!
Harmony Harbor #9, I love this book. It’s the last book of the series, or at least it plays out like it is the last. It works as a standalone but there is quite a bit of back story along with the Gallaghers and Greystone Manor. I enjoyed the entire series this one made me bawl at the end. It really is the perfect ending heartwarming and just a little bittersweet.
Evangeline Christmas left her NYC psychiatric practice behind to run the all year round Christmas store, Holiday House, in Harmony Harbor. A store that has been in her family for about a century and now it’s being threatened by international real estate developer, Caine Elliot. Holiday House is Evie’s haven and she will do anything to save it even make a deal with the devil. The devil being Caine and the deal more like a bet. Evie has an Angel Tree where people put up wishes that aren’t easily done. She bets Caine that he can’t do three Angel Wishes before Christmas, if she wins Caine takes his development of Wicklow Tower somewhere else and if she loses then she leaves no arguing, no more protests and convinces the rest of the town too. Evie plans it to where it’s very much like a Christmas Carol and these acts of kindness will turn Caine from Scrooge at the beginning of the book to Scrooge at the end of the book.
It wouldn’t be so hard if Evie and Caine weren’t also fighting their attraction to each other. The first wish brings Caine into close proximity to Evie daily which allows the both of them to get to know each other better. The more they find out about each other the more they like each other until they both give in to the attraction and fall in love. Caine’s Grandmother is not an easy woman and she is dead set on ruining the Gallaghers and if she has to scare away Evie to move things along she will.
Overall, this was a great story this is one of my favorites. What am I going to do without this series?
Mason wraps up the Harmony Harbor series perfectly in this last installment. Her character development is spot on and Evie and Caine are a delight. Make sure you have time to finish when you start. This is the perfect novel to get you into the Christmas spirit.
Evie and Caine might be one of my favorite couples ever. I adore the whole “Grinch falls in love with a Christmas elf” storyline, and this book was full of witty banter and touching moments (and some uber precious animals!) It was an absolutely perfect holiday read, and I loved the Christmas Carol and Wonderful Life references scattered throughout. Definitely a keeper, though I wouldn’t expect anything less from Debbie Mason!!
For me, it is never too early to be reading Christmas books. And when it is an installment in a favourite series, well, let me at it!
You do not have to have read the previous books in this series, but that being said, you really don’t want to miss out on the goodness.
I have enjoyed the times I have spent in Harmony Harbor, and this installment is no exception.
When Scrooge comes to destroy the livelihood of Harmony Harbor’s Christmas angel, well you know that sparks are going to fly – but will the be from anger or from attraction?
It was great seeing characters from the other books make an appearance, and there is a character that has been a big part of the story – well, let me just say I liked where their story went in this book.
I read this book in one afternoon, and now I am waiting for what Ms Mason brings us next.
