I really enjoyed reading Wes and Kate’s Christmas Story. I live in a small town and I loved reading about the things that they do in small towns and the fact that Wes hadn’t done them. Like the sledding remind me of going down the hill at my grandparents place or at “The Hole” in town and having snowball fights. I did notice that they drink alot of coffee. I also love Aunt Penney and Fred, they are great. If you enjoy Christmas Stories anytime of the year this one is great. It has Santa, a loving town full of people, candles, holidays, snow and the happiness of the holiday and the people. I like that she has bought family together. I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.
This is a sweet small town Christmas romance that will put you in the Christmas spirit! It is well written and holds your attention. I loved it!! 5 stars all the way! Thank you Hallmark Publishing via NetGalley for the ARC copy of this book. All opinions expressed are my own.
I am a pushover for anything #Hallmark, #Christmas, or #SweetRomance. Especially when it’s a humid 90-degree summer and a dreadful pandemic is creeping around outside.
In the classic Hallmark style, Christmas in Bayberry is a swoony, feel-good, cozy read. And Bayberry, Vermont is the pinnacle setting to tug me into the Christmas (in July) mood. I’ve never visited Vermont, but now I feel as if I have. Wes and Kate are charming MCs, and the Bayberry townsfolk give off a warm and friendly air, where everyone is family, adding so much to this festive tale.
I connected with both Kate and Wes, but Wes stole the show (for me.) He’s charming and I enjoyed his journey the most. Though there is a bit of predictability in this story, there are also a few surprises with heart-warming depth and emotion.
If you enjoy a rosy-clean slow-burn romance and second chances in a magical holiday atmosphere, you’ll surely sink into Christmas in Bayberry (and you may not want to leave.)
I was blessed to receive a complimentary copy of this book (signed by the author! Yay!) via Prism Book Tours.
Bayberry Candle Company is in danger of closing if Kate can’t figure out some changes that her aunt will accept. Wesley Adams is in town in the hopes of purchasing Bayberry Candles, but having feelings for the owners niece is causing trouble with the need to do his job.
This book was sweet but it was too long and drawn out and I got tired of the ‘close call kisses’. In an attempt to keep the book ‘clean’ the author misses the romance part altogether.
I received an ARC and voluntarily offer this review.
I think Jennifer Faye is at her best when she’s writing a sweet, small-town romance story and Christmas in Bayberry is my evidence.
Wes has returned to Bayberry with work on his mind, but memories of his childhood crush and thoughts of the woman Kate has become soon crowd in.

“Christmas in Bayberry”, from author Jennifer Faye, is a charming contemporary romance filled with holiday heart and Christmas cheer. In Bayberry, a quaint little town in Vermont, everyone’s life revolves around the candle factory–they either work there, or they know somebody who works there. Many years ago, Wes Adams and his family had briefly lived in Bayberry–just long enough for Wes to develop a crush on a certain pretty girl named Kate. Now living in New York City, and working as a senior business consultant, Wes is quite surprised when he is given the assignment of traveling to Bayberry to do a business analysis for the candle company. Wes has long been hoping for a big promotion, and this could be his opportunity to really shine. Kate Taylor works for her Aunt Penney in their family-owned candle company, and she wouldn’t have it any other way. While there are business concerns–growing expenses, old equipment, etc–the town wouldn’t be the same without the factory, and Kate will do everything in her power to keep it going, not just for her family, but the sake of the community. Rattled by the presence of the handsome business consultant, Kate doesn’t realize that she and Wes were short-time schoolmates, but he definitely remembers her, and he’s still just as smitten. As Kate and Wes spend time working together, a friendship and awareness grows between them. Wes is feeling the pull of small-town life–even having thoughts about owing a house and a dog–and of course, there are his feelings for Kate. Having guarded her heart and devoted herself to the factory for so long, Kate is aware that Wes is gradually wearing down her emotional armor. There are many issues to be resolved, however, and if Wes does his job, and the results don’t look good for the future of the factory, what hope could there be for a future together for Wes and Kate? “Christmas in Bayberry” is a sweet contemporary holiday romance filled with captivating characters who live in an ideal small-town setting.

What a wonderful time of the year… when the Christmas romances are finally starting to be released! This is my first read from the author and I feel like I started with a good one. Closing my eyes I could imagine myself living in Bayberry and almost as part of a movie from Hallmark Channel.
Kate Taylor works for her family company The Bayberry Candle Company and they are the base and foundation of the small town of Bayberry. Wes Adams works for a consultancy company in New York and now his boss sent him to Bayberry to evaluate the financial situation of the candle company. And who would imagine? Now he is back to the town he lived for 1 year and had a big teen crush with Kate.
This book is truly magical, as Kate and Wes try to save the company and town, they both help each other growing hope and what’s important at life, while their feelings grow and grow, with a touch of the Christmas spirit.
And we have a lot of things here: suspicious Santa Claus, tree lighting, Candlelight Dance on Christmas Eve, snow ball fight, toboggan slid, a lot of amazing hot beverages and foods, Christmas tree decorations and so many more! This book really put you in a wonderful Christmas mood!
Kate and Wes they had a very different life from each other, but at the end, they really wanted the same things and I loved their finale! So sweet, romantic and all about love and compassion. If you are into Christmas books, this book is for you!
I normally only read Christmas themed books from Nov to Jan ,but this Cover drew me in .I loved visiting this lovely town with its great characters , feel good read , great storyline , page-turner. I hope this is turned into a movie , I could picture it in my mind as I was reading .
I liked the small town of Bayberry, Vermont. It was so quaint and even had the Bayberry Candle Company, which had been family owned for over 100 years. Kate’s Aunt Penney owned the factory and had hired a consultant from New York City to help determine the future of the company.
I liked that Wes, was sent by his company to do the consultation. It was fun watching him catch up with people he knew from the brief time when he had lived there in a beautiful, Victorian house, when he was in junior high.
I really enjoyed the fun, Christmas traditions of the tree lighting, Santa, putting ornaments on the tree, and the Candlelight dance on Christmas Eve. I also enjoyed We finding his Christmas spirit, with the help of Kate. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.
A wonderful story with that special holiday magic and great small town appeal. Wesley and Kate have a special relationship that makes everyone see what is truly most important in life as well as how with hard work anything is possible. Definitely one for the holiday must read list. I highly recommend it.
What a wonderful holiday story! The characters are amazing and have fantastic connections throughout. Great story line gives you the small town feel as well as new beginnings. Well worth reading!
I voluntarily read and reviewed this book; all opinions expressed are my own.
Christmas in Bayberry is just that to me – a story that just gave me lots of holiday hugs, in July! Even with temps in the hundreds while I was reading, I felt like I should be sitting under a blanket in front of a warm fire.
Kate Taylor and Wesley Adams are really living a Hallmark movie. Kate is in small town Bayberry, VT. She’s lived here most of her life and now works in her aunt’s candle factory – the main business/industry in town. And it is in trouble… Wes is a business consultant and called in to help figure out the state of the business. He’s been in town before but there’s a wonderful back story, along with a meet/cue, and small town machinations, but you have to read it for yourself. I don’t’ want to give any spoilers nor can I do the story justice. It’s fun and touching and a wee bit sad in places but it IS uplifting…and it even has a bit of magic! (You know who I’m tawkin’ about, Santa.)
Wes and Kate are a great couple. If you want to suspend your warm summer for however long it takes you to read this book, Christmas in Bayberry is for you. I loved it! It will be a holiday re-read for me for years to come.
Wesley is a business consultant whose main concern is getting that big promotion that he is in the running for. He works holidays and anytime he needs too to make that happen. He gets an assignment from his boss to go to the small town of bayberry and decide if the candle company is worth saving or if it should be sold.
This is the town that he loved as a child and wanted to stay there but his parents kept moving so he really never called anyplace home.
Small towns have a tendency to grow on you and make you feel a part of them. Bayberry does just that. When I finished the book I felt like I was leaving friends behind. A great place to visit and feel the magic as you read. An awesome book that you won’t want to put down.
Christmas in Bayberry is a heartwarming, fantastic feel good book. I love Jennifer Faye’s books, and her stories are always must read books. Wes and Kate are great characters. I love Kate’s Aunt Penney, and everyone in Bayberry. Bayberry is a close knit community where everyone helps out, and comes through for each other. I love how the events played out. There were some sit on the edge of your seat moments, and I was glued to the pages. I highly recommend this book!
This is a story full of warmth and heart, even as the snow flies and misunderstandings occur. Christmas in July can arrive anytime if it means visiting this charming town in Vermont. Bayberry is known for its’ family owned candle company and Kate’s aunt reaches out for a business analysis to shore up the flagging company. Wes Adams is surprised when he is sent to this small town, one that he lived in for a year as a teenager. He never forgot how it felt like home, or the pretty girl he didn’t get to ask to the holiday Candlelight Dance. Wes and Kate’s story is an enchanting romance. Loved their snowball fight! It takes time for her to remember him, but she does, and that adds a cute to dimension to the tale. I really enjoyed the rich storylines of the secondary characters too. I felt like I got a good feel for the town and really enjoyed Aunt Penney’s sweet side story with Fred.
This is a sweet, clean, Hallmark Channel-like contemporary romance.
Bayberry is the idyllic town, where everyone knows each other, and the descendants of the founding members are loved and respected.
Kate’s family is descendant of one of the members that established the Bayberry Candle Co. But now, it’s running into trouble and a professional has been sent to analyze the candle company and advise if it should be sold.
Wesley Adams is that person. He lives in NYC and works for a financial firm where he’s determined to become the next Assistant VP. He’s surprised when he’s sent to Bayberry ,but also happy. It was there that he spend time in junior high and where there was a girl he had a crush on.
As Kate and Wes work together, and Kate teaches him the importance of spending time with others, feelings develop but he’s going back to NYC and likely recommend a sale.
The book was perfect for an afternoon of leisure and a great escape from the trial and tribulations of our daily lives.
I was entrusted a copy of this book by Hallmark Publishing. The opinions are solely my own.
It is Christmas in the heart that puts Christmas in the air…
The magic of Christmas is beautifully portrayed in this story by Jennifer Faye. The small town of Bayberry is everything you expect it to be. Everyone is friendly and everyone knows each other. They are all like family with one another. This is shown when the town faces an unknown future with the Bayberry Candle Company.
Wesley Adams is all big city slicker. He is on his way to become Assistant Vice President of his financial firm in Manhattan. He is asked to go to Bayberry to assess the financial state of Bayberry Candle.
Kate Taylor is so friendly and upbeat you can’t help but fall in love with her. Kate’s dream is to take over the Candle company when her Aunt retires. When Wes sees Kate, it brings back childhood memories of her. Wes once lived briefly in Bayberry and it left quite an impression with him. Wes and Kate both have a lot on the line for their futures. When together the two of them experience feelings that they try very hard to control and conceal.
As always Hallmark weaves a romantic sweet tale that will always guarantee a HEA.
Kate Taylor loves her life in the small town of Bayberry, Vermont. Kate works for her Aunt at the Bayberry Candle company. Wesley Adams analyzes businesses for a living and has to travel to Bayberry to access the Bayberry Candle company. Such a sweet romance with kindhearted, hardworking characters!
I received an early copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.
This is a good, clean Hallmark story. There is love, family, perseverance and of course a Happily Ever After!
Wes’s mom calla and asks him to do a favor for one of her friend, the same day it just so happens that his boss gives him an assignment in Bayberry! In typical Hallmark fashion, it’s the same project.
Kate works for her aunt at a candle factory and plays tour guide to Wes while he is in town. Aunt Penney, Fred, Wes’s mom and a mysterious Santa work a little Christmas magic to make the holidays special for everyone!
Well, there is so much more that goes on in this story but you’re going to have to read it!
I really enjoyed reading this book!
