This Christmas, she’s hoping for a miracle… uncertainty. If the bookstore is gone, what will she do?
As a young man, Dan Gallo couldn’t get out of Angel Harbor fast enough. Now a best-selling novelist, Dan returns home after a tragedy derails his career. His first stop is his favorite teenage hangout—the local bookstore. It’s almost exactly how he remembers it. But the girl who once worked there is now a beautiful woman whose smarts and spirit inspire him to write again, and open his heart to new possibilities.
With her world threatening to fall apart, Dan hopes that with the help of the town—and some Christmas magic—he can get Jane to see how important she is to the people of Angel Harbor…and him.

I absolutely love Jeannie’s books and this one did not disappoint. A true romance, in my opinion, with stolen kisses under the tree and a long lost love who returns home, this is the perfect Christmas romance.
A heartwarming second chance romance
Jane Fallon has a lot on her mind lately. The holidays are quickly approaching. The lease on her book store lease is up for renewal, but she hasn’t heard anything about it yet. Her mother is getting ready to move and her daughter is about to leave for collage. The one thing she didn’t plan was for her old friend, Dan Gallo, who is now a popular author, to return to Angel Harbor. When Jane sees Dan, all the old memories resurface. She knows she can’t get involved with him again. He broke her heart once and he is only in town temporarily. But Jane has a hard time not thinking about him.
Dan needed inspiration for his new novel and knew he could find it in Angel Harbor. Maybe the old table in the corner of Harbor Books, where his love for writing all started, would be just what he needed. When he saw Jane was running the store now, he discovered another reason to be in Angel Harbor. He never stopped loving Jane. With a little Christmas magic, Dan and Jane just might have their second chance.
This book was beautifully written. Jane and Dan were perfect for each other but just needed a little help getting their romance started. I really liked that they are in their 50s too. They were easier for me to relate to. The descriptions of the town and book store were easy to visualize. I also liked how when Jane needed help, the town was there to support her. This is the kind of book that I would love to see turned into a movie.
This is a beautiful story about second chances at love. It is also about one woman who has a large impact on her town. She gives of herself without asking for anything in return. It is also about a town that shows its appreciation when she needs it most
Christmas in Angel Harbor hit all the right notes for me. A story set in a small town at my favorite time of the year. A heroine who is beyond the first bloom of life, who has some history, some life experience who is, once again, facing a challenge for her future. A hero who returns home with a broken spirit reconnecting with his past and finds his future as well. So. Yeah. All of the magic I need to know that I’m going to love a book… and I was not wrong at all.
The local bookstore in Angel Harbor has been a gathering place, a place of refuge really for so many generations of this town. Friendships formed, reading adventures discovered, and small-town chatter lived in the bookstore that Jane runs with love and devotion. Yet, all that may come to an end as her landlord has sold the building leaving the future of both the bookstore and Jane up in the air.
Dan left his hometown long ago to chase his dream, and he found what he was searching for out in the world… for a time. Now, he’s returned to Angel Harbor to reassess, regroup, and perhaps set his dreams in a new direction. The first place he returned to was a bookstore that always held his heart, in more ways than one. And a woman who could have been more back then but those dreams were too big for this small town. Perhaps it’s time for a small miracle this Christmas season for Jane, for the bookstore, for Dan – after all, happily ever afters also lived in that beloved bookstore.
I enjoyed Christmas in Angel Harbor so very much. It speaks to many things happening in my own life – and somehow that always makes a story more personal, even if I’m not featured in the pages, I can still closely relate to the characters. I loved that Jane and Dan have some life experiences under their belts and are coming to each other from a different viewpoint than back in their youth. Friendship no matter how long-standing, growing into a love that can last for the rest of their lives is a precious gift that these two will not squander.
Of course, their path to that happy ending has a few bumps. Yet everything about their journey felt real, believable with chuckles, tears, and real-life as passengers on that journey with Jane and Dan. If you love a really good Christmas Romance with a couple who have left the bloom of youth behind but still have so much love to give to the right person, if small towns, beloved bookstores, and a cast of fun characters equals your reading pleasure… then Christmas in Angel Harbor is a perfect Christmas gift to give to yourself.
Fingers crossed that we get to return to Angel Harber soon — or at least next Christmas.
*I received an e-ARC of this novel from Tule Publishing. That does not change what I think of this story. It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this book.*
Very well written book with great likable characters which the author does a great job of defining the character.
Loved this charming holiday romance that showed us love can happen to anyone at any age. Jeannie had me at seasoned characters and Christmas in Angel Harbor is a wonderful escape from all that is real right now. Jane was warm, smart, and plucky heroine who needed to find her way when her bookstore is threatened. Dan is the perfect romance hero–a little bit damaged, kind, and ready to be in love again. Don’t miss this one–it’ll make your holidays brighter!
A heart warming seasoned second chance Christmas romance. A wonderful emotional tale of falling in love during the Christmas season. Jane and Dan were best friends through high school but had different dreams, both had successful careers. Dan has now returned home to Angel Harbor to write his next novel when he renews his friendship with local book store owner, Jane. They soon can’t deny the chemistry that they share but will a secret keep their HEA.
Loved this small town sweet romance. Loved how the town and friends pulled together to help Jane. This is a must read for the holiday season.
This story warmed my heart and was just…wonderful. It was a second-chance holiday romance and, what made it even better, is that both Jane and Dan have both had successful lives and are more mature. Neither had the life they planned for, especially Jane, but they were successful.
Jane and Dan spent a lot of time together in high school and even through college. Jane professed her feelings, wanting more, but Dan, who knew they had different dreams…plus he was scared, left Angel Harbor and didn’t look back. Jane was just getting started with her dreams when the unexpected death of her father brought her home to Angel Harbor to help her Mom keep the family bookstore going. Twenty-five years later, she has made a place for herself and her daughter, turning the bookstore into an integral part of Angel Harbor. Dan’s lived the life of a successful author, but there has been something missing. He needs a reset and decides to take his sister up on her offer to use her guest house. Still restless, after a visit to the bookstore, Jane offers him the use of his old “spot” to write, bringing him back into her life and that of the town.
Both Jane and Dan are at a crossroads in their lives, as everything around them is changing and the more time they spend together, the more Dan realizes what he left behind might be just what he needs. When the bookstore is threatened, can Dan and Angel Harbor come together to show Jane how special she is to all of them?
CHRISTMAS IN ANGEL HARBOR by Jeannie Moon is full of wonderfully relatable characters in a well-written story of second chances with a holiday back drop. Jane is a warm, caring person and I love her personal traditions and the programs and traditions she implemented into the shop, as well as her influence on the town. She is the perfect example of someone who created a wonderful life for herself when everything she planned for was up ended by the unexpected. Dan, in his immaturity, wasn’t ready to settle down and needed to grow and spread his wings before he could come home and appreciate Jane, their relationship, and Angel Harbor.
This is a feel-good, heart-warming holiday story that you shouldn’t miss. Grab some hot chocolate, your favorite holiday treat, curl up with a cozy blanket, with holiday lights twinkling in the background as you immerse yourself in this beauty.

by Jeannie Moon. Ms. Moon made me fall in love with her hero and heroine, Jane and Dan, which was not a difficult thing to do. This is an amazing second chance romance for a seasoned couple, who are perfect for each other.
Jane Fallon put her life on hold, twenty-five years ago, after the death of her father in order to take over the family’s bookstore. Since then, Jane has transformed Angel Harbor Books into a comfortable and welcoming place for her customers, townspeople, and her daughter. When she learns that her landlord has sold the building, she is at wit’s end, unsure of what her future holds. Dan Gallo could not leave Angel Harbor fast enough. Now a best-selling author, Dan returns to Angel Harbor after a tragedy derails his career and his muse. Returning to his favorite hangout in Angel Harbor, the bookstore, it’s like time stood still. Dan discovers that Jane is still as beautiful and smart as he remembers. It is her spirit that inspires him to write once again as well as opening his heart to new possibilities. With Dan’s support and encouragement, Jane discovers that despite feeling that her world is falling apart, she and the book store are valuable to the people and the town of Angel Harbor. It just takes some Christmas magic for Jane to open her eyes and visualize all the possibilities.
Ms. Moon wrote an amazing and emotional story that is not to be missed. She provided a tale rich with sizzing chemistry, intriguing banter, and strong characters giving Jane and Dan a second chance at finding themselves as well as having a loving future together. I highly recommend Christmas in Angel Harbor to other readers.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
Jane Fallon had dreams and ideas of what she wanted to do when she was younger. But that came to a quick halt when she had to drop everything and run back home to Angel Harbor, to run the family bookstore when he father passed away 25 years ago. Some would be bitter about it but Jane never was, instead she used the years to turn the bookstore into a place where dreams were made and brought a daughter into her life. All of a sudden the bliss and happiness was in question when she found out the building the family had used for generations was sold out of the blue, her daughter was looking at going to college overseas and the boy she had a teenage crush on was back in town after years of being away.
Dan Gallo believed that in order to be successful in his life he needed to leave Angel Harbor and it’s population as far away as possible and not look behind him. He even had his family come visit him wherever he was so he never had to go home. Not even when he became a best selling author and part of his inspiration to write had been in that bookstore. Now he has hit a brick wall in writing and it could cause his career to coming to a crashing halt. So he does the one thing he swore not to do….not just go hime, but go to the bookstore.
When the two meet again will the spark they had once but ignored come back to life? Will Dan be able to get the words flowing again? Can Jane save the store? I can’t give away the secrets…..you need to read it to find out.
I have always loved Jeannie Moon’s books and a few are ones I read over and over. This is going to be added to that pile because it was so good. I couldn’t put it down!! It is about finding love again after not having it for so long, it’s about a town coming together, it’s about working through issues and so much more. It is a book I will recommend to everyone I see!!

This book is the perfect read for the holiday season. It’s a book of community, family, and of hope. It truly shows the true meaning of the holiday season. I’m not gonna lie I teared up at the end. It’s so beautiful. This book is also abut second chances for Jane and Dan. Dan let an opportunity of what could have been long go, but now fate has given him a second chance to get it right this time around. I totally want to visit Angel Harbor Books especially around Christmas. It sounds so magical and something right up my alley. I would highly recommend this one. It’s jam packed full of heart and feels. The perfect read to get you into the holiday spirit.
I kept thinking this author’s name was familiar, but knew she wasn’t on my regular rotation. I looked into it after reading this story and realized I read her book, Then Came You, a few years ago and loved it. Which begs the question, why haven’t I read more of her stories between then and now? I say this all the time when I find authors I enjoy, but I really need to remedy my lack of Jeannie Moon in my library.
This is a very touching Christmas story. Being a mom of grown boys, I could totally feel Jane’s mixed feelings. On top of those maternal emotions, there were her confused feelings about Dan. While these two spent most of their free time with one another through high school, and even when they were both home on breaks from college, they never took their relationship to a romantic level. They were, for all intents and purposes, in a romantic relationship without the romance. In today’s terms, one would say Dan seemed to have ghosted Jane once they went on to grad school and law school. This withdrawal happened at the same time that Jane’s father died unexpectedly and her whole world changed. It’s no wonder Jane can’t help but keep a sort of wall up, even as she and Dan reconnect and get closer than ever before.
Dan has been through a lot and, truthfully, I felt he learned a lot because of the things happened throughout the last year. He didn’t handle things well when he left Angel Harbor. Not because he’s a jerk or anything traumatic happened, but because he didn’t know how to deal with strong emotions. He now understands who he was then and who he wants to be now. That all being said, I felt we miss a bit of depth in his back story. I didn’t need (or want) the gritty details, but it seemed the extent of the backlash was touched on more than once but never really fleshed out.
The way Jane and Dan easily fall back into their friendship is truly beautiful. Then, watching that friendship blossom and grow was an even more stunning thing to see. There’s a wonderful connection between them, but I didn’t quite feel the chemistry coming off the page. Jane has a line that basically summed up my feelings on this couple…”There might not have been a lot of sizzle between her and Danny, but there was definitely heat.” One thing I noticed was that I felt their chemistry so much more when they were interacting with one another than if they were talking to others about their feelings.
Now, it’s no secret that I hate secrets. A huge downfall to this story for me was a secret that Danny keeps from Jane. I didn’t think it would bother me at first, but there was definitely a point where he should have spoken up and didn’t. Then I got annoyed because we all know what is going to happen and, while waiting for that shoe to drop, I’m twisted in knots. I’m glad the author didn’t have this part of the story drag through the whole book though.
All in all, I enjoyed this story a lot. I love the way the author wrote her characters, flawed but lovable in a very believable way. Seriously, I need to read more from this author soon.

Lovely, heartwarming, sweet second chance romance. The way Jeannie Moon describes the town and the people of Angel Harbor makes them come to life. The ending had me shedding a few happy tears. Just a beautiful all-around story that’s perfect for the upcoming holiday season.
Christmas in Angel Harbor is another winner from author Jeannie Moon. The writing is superb, incorporating breathtaking descriptions and emotional moments. All of Ms. Moon’s books are excellent and I have read every single one of them. This second chance romance will keep you engaged from beginning to end.
Jane Fallon is the owner of a thriving bookstore in Angel Harbor, a small town on Long Island. The store has been in her family for generations, and it is also the area’s cornerstone. During the holiday season, she and the other local merchants create a true Hallmark landscape. Beautiful storefronts, holiday activities and community camaraderie decorate the welcoming harbor. Jane is surrounded by her lively college-bound daughter and loving mother. She fell in love years ago with Dan Gallo, and when he returns to town many years later, she is surprised to still have feelings for him.
Dan never looked back when he left Angel Harbor, going after his career goals with a vengeance. Now he is an extremely wealthy and successful author. His books have been made into movies and the public loves him. After one of his thrillers becomes a real-life tragedy, he decides to pen a new book in a different genre. He temporarily leaves his solitary life in Hawaii and returns to Long Island. Dan gently immerses himself into small town life, and rekindling his friendship with Jane brings him forever happiness.
I loved this story, and Ms. Moon’s words flowed effortlessly and flawlessly from start to finish. Her vibrant and elegant descriptions of the holiday activities and landscapes made me want to experience Angel Harbor in all its glory. Jane’s kindness was beyond genuine, and the way the townspeople supported her when times were uncertain showed how much she and the bookstore meant to the community. Dan evolves into an amazing friend, and his love for Jane changes the course of his life. If you are in the mood for an emotional second chance romance, check out this magical holiday read.

This is a more mature romance a wonderful second chance romance about taking what you want and going for it
Jane Fallon and Dan Gallo had always been friends maybe it could have become more but twenty five years earlier her father dies and she had to step up and take over the family book store Dan went away to become a successful lawyer and then a best selling author but a tragedy has taken his muse and he isn’t sure what to do with his life So he returns to Angel Harbor and heads straight to the book shop that was his teenage hang out He is surprised to see what a beautiful woman Jane has grown into. Her life is in turmoil her landlord has sold the building the book store is in and she isn’t sure what is going to happen. With Jane giving him his muse back and him writing in her store each day feelings start to blossom between them and he will rally the entire town to make sure she keeps her store.
I received this arc from Tule Publishing in exchange for an honest review. What an amazing book! It’s not often that the holiday sweet romances are about a more mature couple. As an older reader myself, I really enjoyed this wonderful story. It was sometimes necessary to grab a Kleenex and other times it was the sweet happy moments of family and friends. This is a stand-alone book that takes place in Angel Harbor, New York just before Christmas. It is the second Chance story of Jane and Dan who had been best friends and more up until college and grad school when Dan left and didn’t contact her again, leaving her heartbroken. Growing up Dan used to spend all his time in the bookstore writing stories and talking with Jane as well as her parents.
Jane owns the family bookstore in Angel Point. She was in archeological studies in grad school when her father died. She had to return and keep things going for her mom and take over running the bookstore. She lives in the family home with her mom and 17 year old daughter Tara. Her ex is not in the picture. She gave up her dreams to run the bookstore and then to be a mom.
Dan became a lawyer and then started writing again, becoming a best selling crime fiction author. He returns to Angel Point looking to get away from his life in the limelight. He is staying at his family home in the guest cottage. He’s getting to spend time with his sister’s family. After a problem with someone copying his book in real life, he escapes and seeks out the old bookstore of his youth. He sees Jane again and feels guilty for how he just left. He decides he wants to write a different type of book and finds inspiration in the old bookstore. Initially he tries to avoid people as he doesn’t want to be recognized or talk about the crime.
Dan and Jane clear the air and start talking and spending time together. He doesn’t hide the fact that he plans to leave after the holidays and the book is finished. Jane shares her concerns with him: sadness about her daughter going away to college next year and her mom moving south as well as a gut feeling something is wrong since she hasn’t gotten her lease. Everyone tells her not to worry. Jane realizes that she’s fallen for Dan again and he’s going to leave her again. Dan recognizes how badly he treated her in the past and recognizes that he’s falling for her too. He tries to make it up to her.
The story is so well written, the characters are warm and genuine and their relationships are real. I love the descriptions of the town and all the festivities taking place. As a reader, it was hard to put the book down to go to bed. I enjoyed the angst as it was unknown about Jane’s future regarding so many things. Second Chance romances are a favorite genre of mine too so this was another enjoyable part. I’ve given the book 5 well deserved stars. I hope to read more books by Jeannie in the future.
Christmas in Angel Harbor is a delightful story to read any time of year. Jeannie Moon writes with the ease of expression that Dan came home looking to find again. “November on Long Island was unpredictable. Kind of like a woman.” From this first line, I felt that this would be a story that I would love and remember. Turns out that I was right. Beautifully written with complex characters who reconnect in friendship that turns to love naturally. Life happens and it happens in this story.
A story of second chance love after 50 romance between a writer Dan Galo who returns to Angel Harbor and bookstore owner, Jane Fallon. More importantly it is a story of community standing together for one of their beloved. While it could happen any time the Christmas Season gives it a special magical quality.
If you only read one Christmas romance this year make it Christmas in Angel Harbor. The only angel may be an ornament but by the end of the book you will swear you heard bells ringing as an angel receives wings.
An ARC of the book was given to me by Tule Publishing which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I really enjoyed this one,it was quick, loved the 2nd chance romance between these two characters Jane and Dan ,and of course the bookstore was a good factor in choosing this book. Will read Finding Christmas next.
A Capraesque Christmas story with all the feels, complete with a later in life romance, a bookstore as a central part of town, and the friends and family surrounding the holidays.
Jane is worried when her lease isn’t renewed per usual, and justifiably so. The bookshop, a central gathering part of town, combined with Jane, is the glue holding the traditions of Angel Harbor intact. Her mother is a snowbird moving south, her daughter to college, and the turmoil over the lease has Jane wondering what the future holds for her.
Dan is back in his hometown for the holidays and to escape an unfortunate event after his last book release. Deciding to write a different kind of novel, he finds solace at the bookshop where he spent his youth, and it serves as a muse for his writing.
Jane and Dan wonder if the stars have finally aligned for them, but their careers and futures make them question how it could work out? Jane needs a miracle to save her bookstore, Dan needs a reason to stay, and together they must sort out their feelings–is it too late for love? With Christmas right around the corner, time is running out… but I think I hear an angel ringing a bell.
A heartwarming Christmas story.
