Very sweet, somewhat unrealistic.
Just ok
Very sweet, clean story that leaves you with a warm fuzzy feeling at the end.
Really sweet, too sweet like a hallmark movie.
Slow starting….I almost put it down to start another book. It had good characters but just didn’t move the heart the way it could have. More for a teen ager.
Loved it. Like the authors style.
Good story with Dakota and Adam . Enjoyed the characters and setting.
Ebook from netgalley and publishers with thanks. Opinions are entirely my own.
After damaging one of her hands in a car accident, Dakota not only lost her ability to create jewelry but lost her fiance’ as well. Feeling she would never be able to get her life back if she didn’t get away from her coddling parents, she moved to Cherry Lake. Eager to fit into the community, she volunteered to work on the community’s annual Christmas tree gala.
Adam came back to Cherry Lake to take over his father’s real estate business. His father had just had a serious heart attack and Adam wanted to give him time to recover without worrying about the business. The timing was perfect since Adam’s soccer team was on a break. This is where Dakota met Adam. When he to volunteered for the Christmas tree gala, they found that they worked well together. This just made their mutual attraction stronger. However, since Adam was only there for a short time, he didn’t want to start anything with Dakota. But you can’t control the heart.
I really liked Dakota and Adam. I couldn’t help feel sorry for Dakota after having the accident. Not being able to make jewelry as she loved to (and was famous for) was devastating for her. I admired her determination to find another way to be creative. Adam was a good man who didn’t hesitate to help out his family and community, even though he was struggling with his own problems. Should he retire or not? With constant soccer-related injuries, he needed to decide soon.
This is a wonderful story about friendship, community and love. It will keep you smiling as you follow this couple in their relationship and the events taking place around Christmas time.
I was happy to receive this book from Library Thing and give my opinion of it.
Christmas Glitter is the first book in the Moore Sisters of Montana series. After an accident that left Dakota injured, she had to sell her home and move in with her parents. After her recovery, she moved to Cherry Lake to have a fresh start. When she gets there, Adam is filling in for his dad while he is in the hospital. They form a bond while he is helping her settle in the town. Adam has known something was missing from his life, but he didn’t quite know what it was. It starts to become clear being back in Cherry Lake, especially after meeting Dakota. But can they each meet their needs and the needs of the other? I really enjoyed this story. Definitely one to read!
I love these little fictional towns that sound and feel so real. Cherry Lake is not to far from Marietta and it is slowly becoming another favorite town for me to visit in my book travels. I do have tendency to visit Montana a lot. Must be something about the cowboys, the snow (which we do not get here in Texas) and the warm feeling I always seem to come away with.
In this book our author gives us two folks who are not youngin’s but not middle aged either. I like the fact that they have lived some life and are being asked by life’s itself to make changes. It was so nice to see normal folks not young kids in a book.
The storyline really had me from the start because I am an artist and Dakota Moore is one as well. Her life mirrors mine and that makes for a great read in a book. Pro Soccer player Adam Clements comes home to help out in his father’s real estate office. Oh fate has they should meet when she comes to pick up the key to her rental cottage. Know that this book moves at the perfect rate that it should. It moves and flows like the snow in the trees. The details our author gives us in this book brings the trees alive. Her descriptions of the ornaments that Dakota creates had me going to me my sewing room and picking up my sketch book to design a new creation. This book inspired as well as was a good read and that to me IS a good book.
Christmas Glitter (The Moore Sisters of Montana Book 1) by Ann B. Harrison
This is Dakota Moore and Adam Clements’ story.
I enjoyed Dakota and Adam’s story. This is a sweet and heartwarming story. When Dakota and Adam meet there is definitely chemistry between them. Since they are both going through some tough issues in their life they are trying to hold off on a relationship. Well, when love is involved things are out of our control. Even though Dakota and Adam were going through their own issues they still got involved in helping others and their community.
This was an uplifting and entertaining read.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

The Moore Sisters of Montana
Sweet Holiday Romance ~ Healing, love, family and holiday spirit abound in this small town Christmas story.
Dakota Moore has moved to Cherry Lake after a rough year. She is unsure that the creative job she is well known for will be a possibility for her in the future after the accident she was in. One of the first people she meets is Adam Clement – professional soccer player – home to help his father out while he recuperates from a cardiac incident. The two are definitely attracted BUT neither believes they are ready for romance. With Adam trying to figure out what he wants to do with his future and Dakota worried about hers there is much to explore for both of them through the book. In addition to the potential for romance the two are involved in community with a tree decorating, soccer clinics and more going on for the reader to enjoy.
I enjoyed the book and felt it was written by someone from “Down Under” even though the term soccer was used instead of football and the setting was in Seattle – and – I do believe the author lives in Australia so I was right. This does not detract from the story but it was interesting…as was the story.
If you are looking for a sweet small town holiday romance filled with community and holiday spirit this might be the book for you.
Thank you to NetGalley and Tule Publishing for the ARC – This is my honest review.
4 Stars
Cute, fun, easy to read. Enjoyable Christmas read.
Excellent Read at Christmas or any other time.
Really good, nice clean book with a great inspirational story. Makes you cry. No language and no sex, which is refreshing!!
I wanted to like this more, but I just couldn’t “get into” the characters. Dakota Moore was a high-end, boutique jewelry designer until a car accident nearly ruined one of her hands. After a year’s recovery at her parents’ home, she felt smothered and decided to move to Cherry Lake where her older half-sister owns a hotel and start her life – and career – over.
Adam Clements is a professional soccer player who grew up in Cherry Lake and now lives and works in Seattle. He’s come home because his father had a major heart attack and Adam is subbing for him at his real estate office as well as providing emotional support to his mother. He meets Dakota when she arrives to pick up the keys to her rental cottage. Dakota has sworn off men and Adam is not interested in a relationship since he plans to head back to Seattle once his father is “back on his feet.”
Of course, neither Adam nor Dakota can resist the attraction they have to one another. Both get involved in the community (in different ways) and both are involved in a project to restore the old town Grange.
The story is cute and the premise is feasible. As I said, I just didn’t feel the chemistry between the two main characters.
A sweet holiday story. Two people who are either facing or have faced life-changing events. Dakota Moore, a well-known jewelry creator, was in a possible career-ending car accident almost a year ago. She has recently moved to Cherry Lake for a much-needed change and a chance to recreate herself. Adam Clement, the hometown boy who is now a hotshot professional soccer player, has to make a life-altering decision about his career. One more injury and the decision could be taken from him.
The story has been told with different characters, in different places, with different life-altering circumstance a million times. It’s still a fun theme to read. The characters of this small town are welcoming and supportive of one another and Cherry Lake is the perfect backdrop for this story. There’s no big mystery in Christmas Glitter, just a fun Christmas story.
Could not get into it.
Very good book I enjoyed reading it alot.
It’s okay.
